This is the very famous Kamote de Leche from the South! It is indeed delicious and addicting!
9786️ I got to try this without going to the branch in Pagsanjan but inside the family's Resort also in Laguna. The owner together with his wife brought us food samples of their Menu in preparation for the Catering they are about to have during the event at the Resort days after.
This brilliant dish certainly is the most unforgettable for me, just the thought of it makes me wanna have it now...now...now! Saraappppp! 128523128523128523128523

Calle Arco is one of the popular restaurants in Pagsanjan which serve Filipino dishes. The place was an ancestral house converted into a restaurant with a pink, homey and lovely ambiance. You can see several vintage memorabilia and pictures of some celebrities who visited the place.

They also have an extension of a chic room for their pastry shop like a little girl’s room. I never had that chance to try their coffee nor desserts.

I got their beef tapa served with scrambled egg, rice and atchara. Their beef tapa was good, tasty and juicy. The atchara complement the meat that made it more enjoyable, though the service was not as good as I expected. Servers were a bit slow and looked like unwilling to serve extra mile for their customers. Less 1 star for that.

One of the best restaurants I've been in Laguna, where you can find the best filipino dishes. 128149128525 Aside from the good food, you'll find the place very interesting because of its vintage like setting. Been here a lot of times and will surely go back again and again. Maybe bc i love to eat? Lol 128514

As me and my family took the long route from Manila to Batangas. We happened to pass by Pagsanjan at around dinner time and found Calle Arco. It is built on a traditionally built residence. Once we got in, we found out some notable personalities have tried out eating. So we also checked what they have to offer. They primarily offer Filipino delicacies. We tried out their Sinigang na Baka at Langka, as well as their Garlic Chicken. Both of which was a few of their house specialties. The Garlic Chicken was delicious. The Sinigang had that right kick of sourness. We also added Pork Sisig, Creamy Vegetables, some Shanghai Rice and some Buko Shake and Sago Gulaman. It was a great compliment to the meal. So when you pass by Pagsanjan, this is definitely a must-try restaurant.

Who doesn't love crispy pata! Oh wait pata dipped in bagoong. Surprised! Yas! Odd it may sound but it's good. Tried it at Calle Arco in Pagsanjan. It's my first time here and luckily looloo brought us here.

Crispy pata - good. Just the right tenderness. Exotic because of the bagoong. And hefty.

Camaron rebusado - The shrimp was ok. Not really into it.

Garlic chicken - It was fine nothing spectacular about it.

They also have banana chips which are popular within the place. That one is spot on. Slices were thin at the sugar coating was very fine.

The place by the way was an old house turned into restaurant. They have grand piano and old tables and some of the family's souvenirs from the places they've been to. They even have wall photos of artists who went to the place.

Value for money was good. 128077🏻
Place is clean.
Service was fine as well as the taste.

waited outside coz the sign said wait to be seated. waited 15mins while waiters ignored me even when we were calling their attention. sad excuse for a fine dining resto wannabe. didn't even got to try the food coz the stupid orange shirted waiters would rather chat outside than entertain me and find me a table. coz i'm not a politician and don't wear a fancy outfit? what a joke.

Since I am also from Laguna, I like dining in a resto in our place, tangkilikin ang sariling atin ika nga. The name of the place sounds Spanish but the food are purely Pinoy. In a town like Pagsanjan there are no other place like this, super good food and swak sa budget.

We had a family gathering last weekend and we're almost 25 people and paid above 5k only. If you compare that from other sosyal pero di naman masarap na kainan, sulit talaga. We ordered the set meal good for 15pax (Rice, Sinigang na Baka at Langka, Garlic Chicken, Pla pla, Pork Binagoongan, Pinakbet, at Kamote de Leche) then had some additional Sisig and Kare Kare.

Sinagang is love. Maasim at mainit na sabaw, perfect! Same with pork binagoongan, ito lang ata kinain ko at di ko na natikman ung iba. :) Their kare kare is not worth it (sana di na kami nagpa add)

The only thing that made this review 4star is their ventilation. We visit the place last Sunday, with the afternoon heat, it is scorching hot!!! There is no aircon inside, the other ceiling fan is not functioning. It's feels like you are burning tons of calories while you eat. You should wear light clothes if you will visit the place during noontime or summer. But the service is good, their waiter willingly took our picture and converse with us.

Sana next time may aircon na or enough fan. :D

More than their crispy pata with binagoong and Sinigang na Baka and langka, the winning dish here is their original dessert called Kamote de Leche! Imaging super thick melted leche flan smothered over sweet potato cubes and served warm and yummy! Up to three people can share this dish happily at only P80. Panalo! If ever I go back to Pagsanjan Laguna I will definitely come back for this!

Literally just after that arch in Pagsanjan along the highway, this restaurant is actually the ancestral house of the family who owns it. The grandson is a chef. That being said, the food is good. Everything we had were good (there were 7 of us with different orders and everyone enjoyed :) what's also notable is how the interior looks: rustic and vintage. No patterns whatsoever and there are a lot of family memorabilia hanging on the walls which gives that great vibe. :)

I have been wanting to try this far off resto for quite some time. So when I have the chance to visit my father's home town Laguna, I made sure that I will visit this place.

It was three days after typhoon Glenda when we arrived in Laguna. Some of the towns have no electricity yet, the phone lines busted, and fallen trees and electrical posts were still lying on the main streets.
My partner and I opted to eat out so we can eat comfortably. The town of Pagsanjan have electricity then, and off we go to Calle Arco.

We weren't that hungry so we just ordered a tuna sandwich melt, lasagna and a glass of sago't gulaman. We didn't order their specialties because it was just a typical "merienda" for us. The price of our two orders are below P400 combined. It was budget friendly and the service crews were so helpful and very accomodating. They will make you feel so at home.
Our food arrived and I tried my tuna sandwich. I was quite disappointed because that's not the taste I was expecting from it. It just tasted like an ordinary home made tuna sandwich with too much mayonnaise on it. I think my tuna sandwich is A LOT better than that. The lasagna was okay. Again, ordinary. The sago't gulaman drink have this twisted taste. A mix of sweet and bitter taste which I do not prefer whenever I have one. We also ordered brazo de mercedes for dessert. We were hoping this will "save" whatever "bad" review I will make about this resto. Sad to say, the brazo de mercedes was an epic fail. Yeah, it does have the correct taste, but there was too much flour in it. I wasn't able to distinguish its filling to its texture, though.
Our visit was not that special I can say. We regret coming to this resto because of our experience. But maybe if we have ordered their specialties, I may have a more enthusiastic review of it. After all, their service is like that of a fine dining resto. 100 points for that 128077128522

Famous cafe in Pagsanjan, Laguna.

Price is just right with a perfect ambiance of an old spanish house turned into a resto.

This pink cafe with a European concept is an extension of the original resto which serve desserts ans coffee.

We waited for more than an hour for our food. We ordered 8 dishes and they should have at least served some in advance(e.g. Pancit habhab) but they did not. When they started serving the food, they served the viands first then we have to wait for another 15 minutes for the rice. Slow and poor service.

The food is good but I don't think it's worth the wait and hassle. The dishes(Pinakbet, Garlic Chicken, Binagoongan) are a bit too sweet for our liking.
