I was looking for an affordable and nice place to eat aside from our canteen. I found Cantino by searching through the Looloo app. It's not that hard to find if you know where to look for. Just go to the restaurant at the back end of the Saatchi building.

I ordered a spicy Longganisa Panini for my merienda. It was just 65 pesos, and it was quite okay for the price. The longganisa was salty, and not sweet, just the way I like it. It would have been better if it had sides to go along with it.

The service was not good at the time I went. They close at 5 pm on weekdays, and I went there at around 4:30. They kept on asking me if I really wanted to eat there because they were going to close at 5 pm. Then the cook asked me (from the kitchen!) when I was seated if my order was spicy or not. I wasn't even properly addressed.128078🏻

On my second visit, I ordered Aligue Rice with Fish Fillet. The aligue rice did not taste like aligue at all. There were just a few bits of aligue but that was it. The fish fillet was just okay, but it was quite oily. I didn't like that they put lots of mayo on the fish fillet. They should just put it on the side. Service this time around was better. Probably because it was during lunch time and not a few minutes before their closing hours.

Cantino is not a place you go out of your way for, but if you're looking for a cheaper place to dine in the Pasong Tamo Extension area, then you shoulc check out this place. Will try their chori pasta and omelettes next time!

Delicious and affordable Filipino dishes perfect for lunch dates with officemates. Their service sucks tho. Especially the waiters.

Retro interior, creative menu, friendly staff. This cute little resto is worth a visit.

They have sandwiches, rice meals, pasta, pancakes and pastries. I've tried the aligue, the pesto and the tuyo pasta and they're good and costs around 90 pesos. But I honestly need two servings to feel full. I like the tapa rice meal but love this italian sausage with pesto rice more (99 pesos). I will come back to try the sandwiches next time.

They're actually the official cute canteen of the next door car company and they're only open til 5pm monday to saturday.

Happy payday Friday! 128076128176

It's one of the few moments when I had time in my hands to go out for lunch to the point that when I asked my office friend, "lunch?" she was surprised and immediately went with me. From McKinley, off we went to Pasong Tamo to visit a former colleague. Okay, enough with the side story. 128522

Was surprised to see this hidden gem at the back of Saatchi house. This little nook with quirky interior -- mix & match furniture, colorful chalk menu board, vintage Pinteresty things -- ah, I love interesting places.

Now on to the food. Ordered Gourmet Tuyo pasta and if you've been seeing my last reviews, I'm a sucker for tuyo pasta. Cheapo at P80 bucks. Yummy! Generous amount of tuyo, parmesan but for someone who's a heart eater, bitin eh! Got iced tea slush which was served in a mason jar with paper straw priced at P55. Tasted good too. My friend got their decadent chocolate cake for us to share and it was love at every bite. I wanted to bring home a slice but I am trying to lessen on the sweets! #balikalindog... NOT. 128539

This "secret" canteen located in a garage is our regular go-to place for lunch because of their super-affordable but yummy meals. We call it the "sosyal turo-turo."

Not much in the way of vegetarian meals though.

Very cool place, great food, excellent service and best of all very affordable. Try their hungarian meal, italian sausage with pesto rice and chori burger meal.
