This restaurant has the advantage of facing the sea, this alone makes it a winner in my book. Nothing feels better than sipping your morning coffee as you smell the ocean breeze and watch the calming movement of the waves.
I have never stayed at Captain Gregg's lodge, but I did go there a few times when I went to Puerto Galera just to eat and hang out with friends. This place is famous with foreigners and it is more alive in the night. The food here can be a little bit pricey, around 300 pesos for a plate of breakfast.
The cheese omelette with toast is my favorite, also the daingsilog. The coffee tasted meh, so lower your expectations a bit. But the location is perfect, and the scuba diving theme going on is quite interesting. Here you can see the old china wares on display that the owner of this lodge (a foreign scuba diver) has unearthed from the depths of the sea.
The resto has a "put your shirt on" policy by the way. There's even a sign that says that they don't care if you have a six pack, when you go there you should be wearing a shirt. 🤣

Capt'n Greggs is one of the first Dive shoo and accommodation in Sabang Puerto Galera. I love this place because this is where I found my family. Everyone is so friendly and here you can have the best fun and great laugh of your time in Puerto Galera. This place makes you feel home away from home.
Their food is great! I recommend trying Roast Bulalo.
Roast Bulalo is served with roast potato, pumpkin, onion, carrot, green peas and gravy. They have big serving ans small for 650 pesos and 320 pesos. The big one can be shared between 3 people!
Chuck Burger is another one that you must try! If you live spicy sauce then do not forget to ask for chucks chili sauce! Warning: this is super spicy! So donnot under estimate this warning.
The Dive shop.
I have been diving with Capt'n Greggs for almost 2 years now and I could never dive anywhere else that would be more fun than here (unless of course you dive somewhere else for free!)
Here they really look after you and you get amazing photos too! They take you to the best and fun dive spots around the area.
Every weekend they also do Hashrun - Hash House Harrier. At the end of house run there will be free flowing drinks and barbecue with loads of fun with the members!
