I think Cara Mia needs to taste their batch of Gelato. This particular 'coffee liquor' flavor (can't remember the exact name) was icy and watered down. Not good at all. But everything else was good, service was fast and moved along quickly since there was a line forming. Cara Mia is still one of the better tasting frozen shops in the Metro, and the prices are quite reasonable.

I was invited to join the launch of Caramia's Party Packages of their gelatos for Corporate Events, Weddings, Birthdays and Other Parties in Ayala Triangle branch.

The Party Packages start at the minimum scoop of 50 up to 250 scoops.

Some of the flavors are:
127848Salted Caramel
127848Turtle Pie
127848Pistachio
127848Choco Sans Rival
127848Chocolate Therapy
127848Matcha

All the flavors I had, tasted good even though it was totally sweet. I love the pistachio flavor on the said event... I finished 2 cups. LOLz 128514

You may contact Caramia at 09177854972 for price details.

My July started on a sweet note all thanks to Cara Mia! I got invited to their gelato party, and even got to bring two of my good friends along. Because awesome desserts such as these deserve to be celebrated with friends amiright? 128521

We were first served with their Matcha Gelato Cake which is one of their new offers. I found this to be nice and sweet yet having that rich matcha taste. The only letdown for me here was their icing which I found to have a weird taste. Overall, it was good. I liked the extra crunch brought by the layers here.

Of course this party wouldn’t be complete without their famous gelato. We can choose any from the 6 offered that day. I opted for their two new flavors: Salted Caramel and Matcha. I always think twice whenever caramel is on the menu. I would normally skip it for it tends to be too sweet. Sadly, the same goes for this new flavor of theirs. Their Salted Caramel was too sweet that I couldn’t taste the salt factor there. Everytime I take a bite, it just gets sweeter. As for their Matcha, MATCHARAP. As soon as I took a bite of this, it erased all those salted caramel sweetness. It was creamy and had this rich matcha taste. I felt happy upon finishing the whole thing. I even took a sip of the melted gelato. Yeah, that’s how good this one was. I think I have another favorite at this gelateria. 128539

Cara Mia has been around for quite sometime. I've passed by their Ayala Triangle branch countless times. I never had the urge to swing by for reasons i cant fathom.

Anyway, the generous people of Cara Mia invited me and my homies for a Gelato Party! Woo-hoo. Judging by the sound of that, i am certain than it is gonna be an amazing party. I mean, come on! Gelato + Party = Legendary (move over, Barney Stinson)

I got to try the new gelato flavors in their roster.

127856 Matcha Gelato Cake. This was served first and i felt "i sense matcha" sort of feeling. Well, the lovely green hue is a dead giveaway but i could be wrong. As it turned out i was right, my matcha esp has never failed me. This is a lovely concoction of matcha gelato, white chocolate, walnuts, meringue wafers and luscious matcha ganache. This is my first gelato cake experience and i gotta say it is truly memorable. The gelato is not overly sweet with a subtle matcha kick. The meringue and white chocolate adds dimension and works well with the gelato.

127861 Matcha. One of the best matcha infused frozen treats I've had in a while. I like the fact that it is not overly sweet and has the right amount of matcha.

127848 Salted Caramel. This is my least favorite because of the over the top sweetness. I found myself clearing my throat after the first spoonful. I give them mad props for the excellent consistency of the gelato.

And oh, i pulled off another chamba shot and won a gelato cake! Woo-hoo.

Thank you! Cara Mia.

While waiting for the Christmas lights show, Kenrick C and I saw that this place had seats! All other restaurants are crazy packed! We just wanted to sit down so we came in and immediately sat down to occupy this table. We ordered gelatos. Since we sat down, it's considered as dine in, this we had to pay for service charge 128563

I got the ferrero elato while Kenrick C got their espresso ice cream. As what ken mentioned in his review, this ferrero gelato tastes exactly like melted kinder bueno, i mean it's tasted like ferrero but without the nuts, it's kinder bueno!!! 128514

Ken's gelato was very strong. It tasted like strong coffee which i liked too, and the small cup is the perfect size, because you eat it in small scoops and small scoops means more scoops which makes you think you had a lot. It was kinda way too bitter so I tried mixing the ferrero gelato and espresso. EUREKA! Guys, I'm like eating mocha frappucino 128514128514128514 Ken wasn't too excited with the idea nor the taste, but I was enjoying my own mix of things but my enjoyment had to stop because ken finished his gelato first so I had to enjoy the rest of my gelato in just the kinder bueno taste 128546

As we were walking along dozen restaurants to chill and wait for the makati light show, all of them were full...until. we came across Caramia.

The Ferero flavored gelato tasted like kinder beuno! I ain't kiddin'. It was so gooood. One scoop is worth 90 Php. But i would say it was worth 128513 definitely give this place a try :)

I also think there's a joint restaurant named Amici which is italian themed. 128076🏻 will get back here as soon as i can. Because i want to try their pizza 128517

Scrolled through the reviews and yes, I ate the same flavor on the same month! Crazy right?!?! 128514 No, I didn't plan this. It was just pure coincidence that I'm craving this flavor during this month. This is really my cone of happiness. After a stressful week, I really needed this. And the week hasn't even ended yet! 128557

The popularity of gelato, an Italian frozen treat, doubled following the release of the film, Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts. I've seen the movie but it was the pasta not the gelato that made a lasting impression on me. I just didn't think there was anything special about it, believing that the only difference it has with ice cream is the price (gelato's tag is not exactly encouraging). But as they say, don't knock it til you try it. So I had my first ever gelato experience at Cara Mia Gelateria.

The moment you enter Cara Mia, you know you're in for a treat. The glass shelves offered an enticing view of gelatos of different colors and flavors. There were the regular gelatos, cakes, and the cake gelatos.

There are so many flavors to choose from I had a bit of a hard time deciding which to order. I spotted little plastic spoons on the side of the counter which could mean one thing: free taste! Unfortunately you couldn't try everything. Free taste is limited to two flavors... that's alright I guess. Anyway, I tried the new york cheesecake and the sans rival. Of the two I preferred the new york cheesecake; it had a fuller flavor.

The gelatos are a visual feast. I was quite overwhelmed by all the flavors that they had on display. Some had fruit toppings, cookies, choco syrups, graham crackers, wafer sticks, chocolate strips and sprinkles, etc.

The Sans Rival (PHP93.71) is really sweet but delicious. Merry Berries (PHP114.91), a gelato cake, is a wicked combination of sweet and sour. Aesthetic wise it was a real winner, a fusion of purple, pink, white, and red colors. It has strawberry, blueberry, and white chocolate toppings.

Choco Sans Rival (PHP114.91) gelato cake is like having a piece of heaven. Every spoonful was bursting with flavor, the kind that lingers and makes you beg for more.

They also have regular cakes, which I wasn't able to try. Will do some other time (because definitely, there will be a next time!)

Don't be surprise if your order does not have, just snatch it from my colleague's Brazo de Mercedes. 128526

They are consistent in serving water when we dine in. Air-conditioning is not that good... But, hey! How can you eat gelato when its cold? 128513

Forgot to do a review of this last night. Busy bee at work 128029

Got my fave Pistachio gelato, and absolutely loved every chilling bite! So creamy and filled with pistachios. Take note, PISTACHIO. Not pistachio bits. PISTACHIO. There was a whole one in my waffle cup! It's actually my first time to dine here, and opted for the waffle cone. I was expecting the cone shaped one but was pleasantly surprised with the waffle cup. So good...must come back for more!

But maybe next year bec. people flock here at night for the light show. So crowded 128584128517128584

Cara Mia is where I had my first gelato. I remember those days when gelato was not yet mainstream, Cara Mia offered lots of flavors already.

After having a sumptuous dinner at Amici, Cara Mia is the next best thing since it's housed within the same place. My daughter opted for a scoop of gelato, Cioccolato, while I went for an ice cream cake slice - Mango Sans Rival.

The chocolate gelato was really good! Rich dark chocolate taste, creamy and thick gelato, each spoonful was a delight!

Then the Mango Sans Rival - really good! Imagine merengue wafer layers + mango gelato + Sans Rival gelato + fresh mango slices to top it all off! Amazing how they were able to capture the flavors mingling in a Sans Rival cake into a gelato. You'll even get bits and pieces of nuts!

Great way to end a great dinner date!

My new fave: Macadamia! This is my 2nd time having this and yeah, I already deemed this as one of my fave (aside from the Pistachio and Espresso). You could really taste the macadamia nut in this one. There are even macadamia bits! It's really creamy and has the right amount of sweetness to fill you up with some endorphins! 127846
