Had the chance to visit this quaint cafe along Ortigas Ave. Ext. It's a 5-min drive from Pinto Art Museum (which is btw, supercrowded when we visited).

Pinto Cafe was full so we decided to looloo nearby restaurants. Casa Abuelita's looked promising based on Google Images!

The place has its own parking area which can fit around 10 to 20 cars. We were welcomed by a guy with a beard. He was smiling at us. I told my friend "we're gonna get killed inside". 128514 His smile was creepy. lol he was super friendly though!

There was just one group who was almost done with their meals when we got there. I was able to take "people-less" photos of the restaurant after they left.

We got their Chicken Cordon Bleu and Creamy Salmon w/ Mashed Potato. We also had 2 Blended Strawberry drinks and Brazo de Mercedes for dessert.

The Chicken Cordon Bleu was a little bland for my taste. But given the fact that they're a "healty restaurant", the blandness was actually a good thing. Meat was juicy and the serving was handful. It's definitely good for 2 people. It came with garlic rice which was pretty good as well.

Not a fan of their Creamy Salmon. Super duper bland for my taste. But it came with sweet onions which I guess makes up for it.

Sadly, I think they used powdered strawberry for the Blended Strawberry drink. Menu says "fresh fruit of the day" though. Might be wrong. Don't quote me on this. 128517

The Brazo de Mercedes was on a different level though! I was never a fan of that dessert. But I enjoyed their version! It's usually fluffy and "airy" for the others. But this one was really thick! It wasn't as sweet as the others as well. One serving is good enough for 2 people. 128079

Bill was just around 800+ for 2 people. Given the dishes ordered and quality, I think it's bang for the buck! Just try to avoid the Blended Strawberry drink. 128530

Overall, it was a good dining experience. Great food, great ambiance (it felt like home), and great service.

If you ever find yourself going to Pinto Art Museum, go for a quick drive to this place. 128077
