This hotel enticed me while searching for places to stay in Tagaytay. I checked the location map, it is far from the hi-way giving me an impression of tranquil nature experience.

The room assigned to us is at the old side of the property neighboring the new building where the infinity pool is positioned. It’s a spacious room with glass front walls. I discovered that the layout is intended to be a front office eventually converted into a guest room. Place is not as clean as what is presented in the website images. The glass door is similar to a typical establishment entrance that can only be locked at the floor. It was disappointing but we are left with no choice since all the other rooms were full.

We initially opted to dine outside but the weather disagreed. The hotel is situated along the zigzag road leading to Talisay Batangas, almost at exact blind curve making it unsafe for rainy night drive.
Food is bad and expensive. Dusts and mosquitoes are all over the dining area.

I appreciate the efficiency of the staff but it really felt like I wasted time and money.

Casa Alegria is perched strategically along the Tagaytay hillsides so you can view taal volcano straight from your room.

The hotel is very picturesque as you feel as the view of Taal volcano is abundantly seen through your hotel room, balcony, rooftop, bar and not to mention the infinity pool just there to make everything else even more pretty. Definitely ideal for a weekend getaway somewhere you can drove to that not to far but not to close either. It takes you away from the hustle bustle of the metro and places you in quite a quite viewing point where you can appreciate right from your bed.

So, ideally you're going to want to bring a car here as it is not convenient to any commuting routes within the area. My wife and made that mistake and had to pay a hefty tricycle ride to get there. The reception area did help us out by calling tricycle from via phone to pick us up when we need to go out but again that's gets expensive quick. If you plan on just staying in your and bask in all of Taal's glory be sure to stock up on some munchies as the kitchen closes early.

Stayed here from June 12-14. This bed & breakfast is new and the pool is still under construction. Was a bit disappointed because:
1. The room was not that clean
2. Not all lights are working
3. The shower place has no place were you can put your toiletries same goes with the separated urinal were there is no toilet paper dispenser
4. Found 2 big spiders inside the bedroom 128557
5. No wifi even it says they have before booking, they said it's not yet working
6. Saw a lot of ants crawling
7. They do not serve lunch or dinner.. Only breakfast.

But their service and breakfast are great! And amazing view of the Taal from the room.
