The rain was pouring when we decided to come over Lilac. We're on foot so it was quite dismaying to explore the diverse neighborhood of cuisines. 128532However, if you come to think of it, we're already here so why not make the most out of it. Right? There's really no turning back now. 128525

In fulfilling our Lilac Adventure, stopping by Casa Feliz was on top of our list. That's why right after having a light dinner in Forget Me Not Cafe, which was a great experience too by the way. We had the sudden urge to crave for cakes and pastries! 127856127849

The vibes of the place was relaxing for it had that homey and cozy atmosphere. Despite the service being quite poor, taking into consideration that our orders were only a slice of Chocolate Cake (P75 per slice) and Red Velvet Cake (P110 per slice), which almost took more than 15 minutes before service. Thankfully, their Chocolate Cake was heaven! 10084️128156128153 The sweetness and creaminess of the chocolate was just right wherein the sponge of the cake was very soft and moist. As for the Red Velvet, it was superb as well! So overall, it's definitely worth the wait. 128076🏻

Another thing, everything on the menu being unavailable or out of stock can cause a huge disappointment not only to us but also to the cake lovers that travelled so far just to have a taste of it. That's why, I'm somehow looking forward for a change.

Still, this is a must try for the sweet tooths out there especially their signature Pistachio Sansrival which I'll be coming back for. 128521

THE LILAC BRICK ROAD: A Marikina Food Trip Special Finale

So finally we were up for dessert. No place else to go but to the nearest cafe beside S.K.O.W. - Casa Feliz.

This fine resto-cafe is known for its garden setting and its wedding ambience. This is the perfect set down for the group for late midnight chitchats. For us, we opted to play a game that kinda brought back the child in all of us - that which we fondly call "nagtanong-tanong ako...", a college favorite category game.

Of course what else is there to order for dessert to accompany us but their famous Vida Verde! This delightful wafer cake has the same texture as Conti's Mango Bravo but instead of chocolate and mango, it used pistachio and kiwi for its perfectly blend of sweetness, creaminess and "nutty"-ness. Our friend ordered their cheesy ensaymada and it perfectly matched their coffee.

This joyous and appetite fulfilling adventure ended up at Ate Matet's home where we offered them one of the very famous delicacy of Marikina - Rocha's Delicious Puto & Kutsinta. What we thought were full stomachs instantly gobbled on 2 boxes of putos! Haha!

I hope you guys liked my entry. For our next stop, we are thinking of Maginhawa Strip. Hope to see you there! :)

Price Range: Vida Verde - Php800

It was a rainy Saturday night when we went here last week. The ambience was nice since it was al fresco style.

We ordered the following:

1. Pizza (cheese and something else haha sorry forgot)
2. Bolognese pasta
3. Aligue pasta
4. Lechon kawali
5. Pork binagoongan
6. Garden fresh salad

Everything tasted rather normal. Nothing stood out in particular. Though have to commend that their staff were helpful naman in taking orders and suggesting food items.

Parking can be quite a drag since I think they only have 3 slots versus a big dining area. So no choice but to settle with street parking. Also, this area is a part of Marikina that easily gets flooded so watch out.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of fancy cakes since I only like chocolate or mango flavors. We had their best seller, Pistachio flavored cake (sorry wasn't able to get the name). It has a sansrival base and lots of icing. Medyo weird lang ang after taste for me coz of the green tea powder sprinkled on top. And since sansrival yung base, i expected it to be frozen para mas masarap.

Food here was ok, but service was quite slow. I like their desserts better than their main ones. But the crew here are very nice especially the girl in the cashier. :)

Had lunch here a while ago. They have different sorts of foods from appetizers to desserts.
At first we ordered nachos then pork salpicao for me and Salisbury steak for the boyfriend. By the way, menu price for the rice is only 200 where you get to choose from seafood, burger, pizza, pork and beef and since we chose the rice, it comes with your chose of soup and drink (iced tea/blue lemonade).
Nachos were served first and my reaction was like 128576128561 coz the serving was for like 3-4 persons na (view picture) actually we didn't get to finish all of those and decided to have it 'take-out' instead.
Beef salpicao is quite salty good thing I have soup, water and iced tea on the side, thought I wasn't going to finish it but I actually did.
For the dessert, we also ordered a cupcake which was 45 with huge icing on the top. Not too sweet but I was too stuffed to finish it so the bf finished it for me. 128518
Place was like an old colonial house, nice tho but I think it's kinda 'malamok' at night.

Food is great and not expensive. I love the setup of the place that gives you a homey feel where you can take it easy, relax and enjoy your food. The athmosphere is perfect to bond with special friends and family. I have a lot of memories in this place and will always keep coming back. I suggest you try the spanish caldereta!

Asked my dad to bring me to a place that i haven't been to... Trusted his taste for food for the first time. Lol. The place was nice and chill (i think it's because of their lighting...) Nyaha. The waiter who served us was very accomodating. He knew the menu very well! (And he even walked us to our car voluntarily cause it was raining hard when we left)

So anyway! About their food. We ordered their Chicken Spinach Roulade and Lechon Uragon. What i liked about it is you can choose a starch, side dish and drinks for your meal for only 200php! Ordered ours with Fried Rice and Garden Salad.

Their Chicken Spinach Roulade was like chicken cordon bleu with a twist! It was filled with Spinach and Cream Cheese so i really liked it. I would suggest that they lessen their pepper though. However, i didn't like their garden salad...

As for their Lechon Uragon.... According to my dad it was delicious but spicy.

Can't believe we missed their buy 1 take 1 promo for pizzaaaaa! Huhu. Next time!!!!

The ambiance was okay but needs repair on certain areas. I had a bad encounter during my lunch here with co-interns.

First, the service was poor. The rest of the food were given and we were almost done when I noticed that our second pizza was not yet served. I think the moment I asked them, that's the only time they made it since we ordered for 2 pizzas and the other one did not arrive. So we waited for another 30minutes and I we were very hungry since the lasagna that we finished had a little serving.

Second, it finally hit me when I asked for an official receipt, this dumb waiter told me: It-try ko po mam ha, wala po kasi kaming resibo. He told me that twice and I said to him: Kailangan ko ang resibo ko. Ngayon wag mo akong sasabihan na ittry mo, gawan mo ng paraan yan! After several minutes of ranting to my friends, the OR was finally given to me. "Mayroon naman pala eh", uttered by my friend and he said nothing. So you see, why would I even recommend this place?

Lastly, their food was plain and bland. I am very specific with lasagna and this one was just ordinary. I'd rather have greenwich for a lasagna than this. Perhaps I am being biased or something because of my experience. Nevertheless, I was unhappy!

So lucky that I lived in Marikina and have been eating a lot in the area.

There is this new found place where in you can taste great cakes aside from Pink Chiffon featured in Kris TV!

Casa Feliz...they serve cakes and pastries on the morning then they serve other meals at night.

Last Saturday after I went to my son's school, I saw my co parents mom. After that one of my co mom friend decided to have foodtrip at Casa Feliz.

The ambiance was homey. Then because we got there for breakfast choices only are cakes and other breads and we have no choice but to have cake for breakfast 127856

We had one of their best seller pistachio cake and it was so good !128077 Nice cake presentation and plating too.We had it for only 110pesos

It's a must try cake lovers12787412807710084
