Mom's Pre 59th birthday lunch celebration. Located at Ground floor Connecticut Arcade Greenhills Shopping Center.

Casa Reyes Bistro Filipino specializes in Barbecues, Bagnet, Crispy Dinuguan and other mouth watering Filipino dishes.

I ordered this Kare-Kareng Bagnet served with Bagoong rice for 315.00 pesos. This is so cute to eat, love the presentation, the taste, ambience and service .Love the colorful glasses with iced tea and you can play sungka while waiting for food. A taste of Filipino cuisine.

We're back! And we brought the rest of the gang!

This time we tried the "putok batok" specials. Crispy pata with kare-kare, butter and garlic shrimps in aligue sauce...and a few other items...and they were good!

This is our first time here and certainly not the last. There is a lot of interesting items on that menu!

I had the wagyu tapa, Vin had the sweet and spicy tuyo, while Cherrie had bagnet with kare kare...all were good!

Thy made an effort to make presentation interesting....will try to add pictures from Vinnie's phone.

They had dominos and sungka as distractions to kill time while waiting for the meal to be served. No wifi, which I thought would make me go nuts hehr but I enjoyed playing the games they had 128514

And then came their free cassava chips - crunchy and tasty! Didn't expect it to be good.

Ordered shrimp with aligue - too die for! Literally! Haha even if it felt like putok batok with all the aligue... It was sooooo good! I would recommend everyone to order this! 128077🏼

As for the bbq combo, it was just your average bbq. Nothing special.

I loved the place because it was different - no wifi but with good affordable food. Why not?

How can you resist a very travel-back-in-time theme for this restaurant? Remember the good old 70's dining ambiance where everyone would share good cooking.

This is owned and managed by the very famous family of Mama Sita. They would gamble the family name for nothing more than the usual pinoy flare right?

After taking your order, the waiter would bring a "sungka" while you wait for your food. This would take your mind away for a bit while you stumble on remembering how to play this old game again. Then they would give you camote chips on the house for appetizers.
We had crispy dinuguan which was terribly good and Sinigang na Hipon. We even hesitated to order sinigang na hipon at first thinking for 350php it would just like have 3 shrimps with tons of veggies like other restaurants would do but he waiter assured us that it's good for 4. He was right.
There was a poster for crispy pata with kare kare combo for 800php which was quite tempting but we said we could finish all of that too so maybe next time.

our order was a long wait. the aircon was hot.

the sotanghon soup wasn't any good. it's usually colored orange but today it was white. the noodles were too long. they also served the tiniest calamansi.

the pork bbq was full of fat and tendon. which both i don't like.

they served the crispy pinakbet late. we were almost done when it was served.

the fresh buko juice didn't have a straw when it was served.

the chicken of the sotanghon soup came with bones. the chicken was chopped but the bones were still there. 128563128542 good thing i wasn't able to swallow the bones.

pero the best pa din yung pork bbq with boneless chicken bbq combo (a). my favorite!!

the gambas was ok. but there was only a few pieces served. too bad i forgot to take a pic. imagine a regular oblong hot plate, 1/3 of it were the shrimps and 2/3 of it was the sunny side up egg. hehe

but i still give 4 stars because i love their bbq.

Service is great but you'll definitely love the food more! If you want some Filipino food, you hafto try this. I admit, whenever i go out with my hubby on a date, we always want to eat something not Filipino-ish. Just happened to discover this place because I went out with my parents and they love Filipino food. Their Kare-Kare is the best I've ever tasted, i swear! It's creamy and very delicious. There are no words to describe it. We even ordered another one to take home with us! You may want to also try their Boneless Crispy Pata. Imagine eating it without the hassle, good right? 128536
