Another stop on our taal historical tour is Casa Villavicencio. Located very near the church, it is the ancestral home of the same Villavicencio's of the Triple V group. So apparently, Spanish era palang big time Na sila
But unlike the Agoncillo house, this museum is still the property of the family so you've to pay an entrance fee of php100/ea. It comes with suman and tsokolate at the end of the tour.
This house is a bit more affluent than the Agoncillo one. It featured tin cielings and canvas wallpaper which was quite costly at that time. They also had a larger ground floor (for the horses, servants etc).
There is also a tour guide who will explain the role of the Villavicencio's during the war. All their help was clandestine and undocumented so it was difficult to prove their invaluable assistance. They even lent their own warship to the katipuneros.
Less one star because the place has no a/c so it can get a bit stuffy.
Yummy tsokolate and suman will be served to your group at the end of the tour.
Very educational indeed and I'm happy to learn more about our history.
