A cozy Italian restaurant in the heart of Marikina. Casaño mixes the Filipino historical ambiance with its own take on Italian Cuisine.

My husband took a half day before lunch so it's a Thursdate for us. We decided to go out for lunch. We used to see Casaño whenever we passed by the area. It is located 172 JP Rizal St. San Roque Marikina. We've been wanting to try this try few months ago. We're supposed to check Salud Panciteria just across Casaño but since no parking, hubby told me that we will try Casaño and lucky for us they have parking space.

The name Casaño comes from the three owners namely: Carlos, Salcedo and Abaño. According to the owner , this used to be an ancestral home with a dental clinic in the 1940's. His grandfather fell in love with the place and bought it then with the two of his friends decided to convert it into a restaurant. Casaño Italian Fusion is merely new in the restaurant business but despite of that they make a delicious dishes.

After we park our vehicle, their staff is waiting on the stairs and assisted us on our table. The place was so peaceful and it's feels like I was during my grandparents time.

We had the following orders:
For the main entree:
Roasted Pork Belly Roll (220) - signature pork belly drizzled with pineapple glazed. The serving was huge and nice plating and it has free salad on the side. The belly is not crispy, it's has more fats so nothing special.

Then we had their Create your own pasta for 210 pesos. Design your own pasta plate. Choose the type of pasta, sauce and topping. Served with a slice of baguette. We chose Aglio e Olio. Oil based sauce rich in garlic then we had cream dory in leek sauce as toppings. This one is I must say I can highly recommend here, their create your own pasta idea because every individual has its own preference for their pasta.

Last is the dessert. We had their creme brûlée. Chilled custard with caramelized sugar for 80 pesos, damn so good and good for sharing 128522128077

Of all the food that we tried, I liked the pasta and the creme brûlée. Staffs were polite and accommodating but their was a bit problem because when were about to pay thru credit card as before they just accept cash and the reason why we dine is because they accept credit card but the globe machine that they using since that is the latest model daw it's not working nagkalkal ng barya coz were planning to widraw after we dine there pa, mabuti umabot haha! 128556128540
