Yesterday, I had a meal fit for kings. It was a feast of 25 dishes showcasing Cassalu’s upcoming menu of soups, pasta, and entrees. We also sampled their best selling desserts on this sponsored invite. They invited me to comment, and I had a scoresheet in tow. In my paper, I get to grade the taste and presentation, as well as suggest the price I’ll likely buy it for.

Most of it I liked, while some needs a bit more tweaking. I raved specifically three among all we had, and these are the Seafood Cream Soup, Salmon Steak, and their take on Coca-Cola Chicken. Please note that they are not official names. I am also unsure if they will serve all the ones I took a photo of, given the cumulative comments from all the other attendees.

The desserts were the highlight, and they are currently being sold at the moment. Must try are the tangy and rich Calamansi Cheesecake, and Cassalu’s really Fudgy Brownies with a touch of coco jam. Go ahead and pair these with any of their Third Wave coffee selections. I personally had a warm cup of Panama Single Origin. I also indulged in a tall glass of Dark Crunch, a bittersweet treat with loads of dark chocolate, cookies, and cream plus coffee.

Cassalu is about to expand both their overall offering and opening in other locations like Circuit Makati soon. Owner couple, Noel and Loren narrated to us too future plans for this relatively new venture.
