FOOD – 1108811088110881108811088

They serving not only specialty coffee but also savory meals and freshly-baked cakes and pastries. You have a lot of choices!

Oriental Salad – My close friends knew that I’m not a fan of salad because of I don’t like veggies (sad but true). But hey! This is an exception. I loved its plating and of course the taste! Their asian dressing is for the win!!! Must try, promise!

Chef Red’s Kaldereta Pasta – This a good concept! Taking local dishes into pasta! If you love kaldereta, you should try this one! I loved how it was cooked. Even though we ate it cold already, you can taste the spiciness of it and the tender meat.

Banoffee Cheesecake – Ahhh this one is good also! The cheesecake was smooth and soft which is new to me because the other banoffee cheesecakes that I’ve tried had a rough texture inside.

PRICE – 1108811088110881108811088

The price are very reasonable. You can have it solo and for sharing. I found their cheesecake pricey but hey, it’s really good! Also because their pastries are their bestsellers so give it a try!

SERVICE – 1108811088110881108811088

Kudos to their staff. Upon entering the door, they will immediately assist you. While dining, some staff will asks you if you need anything. They are very responsive to other customers too. So plus point to this!

AMBIANCE – 1108811088110881108811088

At first, I thought it’s a small place but I was wrong. Their space was huge. There was indoor and outdoor seating. They have also separate rooms for private events. I loved how they designed the place. Colorful and comfy seats, you can feel the cafe ambiance because of the coffee beans around the area, it has also swing chairs which I loved the most!

LOCATION – 11088110881108811088

If you are from the North area, it’s a sad news because it’s kinda far from our place. Yes, I’m from North too. They are located in South but according to their manager, they will open a branch in SM North EDSA Annex hopefully on the first quarter of 2019. Yay!!!! So excited for this.

But if you want to try their frozen cheesecakes first, head on to their small branch at Bakeology by Cassaluin SM North EDSA.

Yesterday, I had a meal fit for kings. It was a feast of 25 dishes showcasing Cassalu’s upcoming menu of soups, pasta, and entrees. We also sampled their best selling desserts on this sponsored invite. They invited me to comment, and I had a scoresheet in tow. In my paper, I get to grade the taste and presentation, as well as suggest the price I’ll likely buy it for.

Most of it I liked, while some needs a bit more tweaking. I raved specifically three among all we had, and these are the Seafood Cream Soup, Salmon Steak, and their take on Coca-Cola Chicken. Please note that they are not official names. I am also unsure if they will serve all the ones I took a photo of, given the cumulative comments from all the other attendees.

The desserts were the highlight, and they are currently being sold at the moment. Must try are the tangy and rich Calamansi Cheesecake, and Cassalu’s really Fudgy Brownies with a touch of coco jam. Go ahead and pair these with any of their Third Wave coffee selections. I personally had a warm cup of Panama Single Origin. I also indulged in a tall glass of Dark Crunch, a bittersweet treat with loads of dark chocolate, cookies, and cream plus coffee.

Cassalu is about to expand both their overall offering and opening in other locations like Circuit Makati soon. Owner couple, Noel and Loren narrated to us too future plans for this relatively new venture.
