Visited Lucena, Quezon recently. Our gracious host who is a local of Lucena, eagerly offered to take us to Catalino's one hot afternoon to sample their famous halo-halo. I fell in love instantly with their halo-halo which was recently featured as one of the best in GMA 7's 'Ang Pinaka' program. It was the creamiest I've ever tasted with the fine ice shaving itself tasting like ice cream. This ice dessert had very simple ingredients consisting of macapuno, pinipig, sweet corn and ube ice cream and though it was not loaded with ingredients it was very refreshing and satisfying. Loved it!

Catalinos Restaurant is beautifully situated in Villa Javierto with antique shops all around the compound. The restaurant with antique furnishings is overlooking the Alitao River and also has a nice view of Mt Banahaw.. This restaurant serves trafitional Filipino dishes cooked the Lucena way. Highly recommended, too is their Chami, a kind of pancit with lots of sauce garnished with veges and seafood. 128077🏻. Catalino's is a must-visit restaurant in Lucena.
