Hi, Dimsum Lovers!!!

Last weekend my friend and I decided to drop by Causeway with the goal of eating as much dimsum as we can and avail of the P48 dimsum (except hakaw) offer from 2PM to 6PM. We didn't have a decent breakfast or lunch so we were too excited to go and arrived here 30mins before the promo starts. I was already in my hangry state the moment we got seated so I immediately looked for something interesting on the menu. Luckily, I was able to spot their Shrimp Wonton Noodles (P135) and ordered 1 right away.

The food was served immediately, I think it only took them 5-10mins to serve the food so I felt relieved and happy! The noodles were cooked just right and the soup was really flavourful!!! It reminded me of the Wonton Noodle Soup I had in Mak's. Oh so yummy, my tastebuds were jumping for joy! 128539 this dish is actually good for 2. Well, for big-eaters it would just be good for 1. But for a small eater like me, this one's big and I had to share it with someone.

2PM came and the waiter was already doing his rounds with the dimsum cart! I was honestly full from the noodles but I still cannot just let the dimsum pass me by so we ordered 2 sharksfin siomai, spareribs in taosi sauce and plain rice.

Everything was soooo goood and heavy!!! We had to take home the other sharksfin siomai order bec we were already too full!!! I loved the spareribs!! It was very flavourful and goes well with the rice kaya mahirap hindi magrice!!! HAHAHA.

The place reminded me of one of the restaurants I've been to in HK (can't recall the place)!!! The dimsum push cart, the round tables, the tea, everything!!! It almost felt as if I was in HK, tbh. I really liked the food and place except for the medyo bad service that they have. Medyo bad service bec I personally think that it is tolerable. The waiters were not as attentive as they should be, we always had to call out their attention twice before our request is granted. To note, we were only asking for basics - water, house tea, tissue and calamansi. But maybe the waiters were just pressured bec the place was packed and there were only a few of them serving the tables.

Overall, I'd still recommend this place to other people. But take note of the tipid tips, go here from 2PM to 6PM to avail of the P48 offer for all dimsum (except hakaw)!!! I think this offer varies for other branches. So the 2-6PM offer might be specific only to their Timog Branch. I think this offer stands from 9-12mn for the Libis Branch!

Nothing beats waking up in a sunday morning with breakfast takeout from causeway! The great smell of freshly steamed dimsum and hot congee is the perfect breakfast in this cool morning. Causeway, ever since was our favorite go to place for chinese dimums and even their dishes are great. The place is just a little bit dirty sometimes.
The halo halo congee is a favorite of mine. The big bola bola and the deliciously cooked congee is perfect. I always try to order chowkings congee for a quick solution for my cravings before but they have remove congee in their menu. So causeway congee really is the only way to go. The dimsums siomai, chicken feet and spareribs are also very good. Comparing causeway dimsums to Tim Ho Wan, causeway is a lot more delicious. Their siomai is considered among the best here in the philippines. The pork and shrimp inside is perfect not like others that are full of extender. The chicken feet is also really good. They are not the skinny chicken feet you'll get on other dimsum place. For the spareribs sometimes they serve it with a lot of fats but when you kindly request them to serve the one with less fats. It get a lot better.
Overall causeway is still one of the great dimsum place even when there is already a lot of dimsum place everywhere. They still manage to maintain the consistency of their foods. 128518128076

Chinese food finally! I'm really a fan of Chinese food! And when I see dimsum and dumplings all over, I just want to order everything just like what Causeway offers! When the service crew pass you by with the get-all-you-can-eat dumpling cart, it's crazy!

Ordered rice over a set of chicken feet (oh how I love chicken feet!), hakaw, pork siomai, and spareribs! Oh my!

Definitely worth every penny! Plus I also ordered their mango sago for dessert and it was awesomely delicious! 5 stars as always for Causeway!

Wait Looloo, how come this is categorized as Seafood and not Chinese?

I'm not sure if they changed cooks but they've really served some great dishes today. Their sweet and sour pork, brief with broccoli and steamed fish fillet with garlic tasted exceptionally well today and I don't think they just added ajinomoto to the mix as my blood pressure did not rise after the meal. The seafood pancit canton guisado was a little dry but still tasted great.

This reviewer was so hungry that some of the dimsum on the picture were consumed. So where do you go if you're in the vicinity of QC and your stomach is growling due to hunger? 2 Plain rice, chicken feet, pork feet, chiu chow dumpling, siao long pao, sharksfin dumpling and seafood roll = P416 only! You not only have readily available dimsum to choose from, you're kid gets busy as well checking out the fishes/mini water falls on the side. Causeway is just the place to go for your craving dumpling needs.128077. If only the staff could be more accommodating and observant.

Went yesterday cuz my friend is craving the bean curd dimsum. Hurrying up cuz we can't quite recall if the discounted time is 2-6:00 or only until 4:00. When we got there we can't quite see from afar the sign posted cuz of the glaring right, or we bought need glasses! Hehehehe. good thing twas til 6;00! He ordered 1st rice in preparation for his hearty appetite for dimsum, since the dimsum cart is still in another table. He excitedly looked over the steaming bamboo round thingie, but alas the beancurd ain't available! Geez! Haven't since a pout with seem like crying eyes in the longest time! Wahahahahaaa!!! So instead ordered siomai, shark's fin (w/c ain't to my liking, didn't taste much like shark's fin), seafood - w/c has a surprisingly big shrimp inside yum!, Japanese dimsum ( simply siomai wrapped in seaweeds, & spareribs. We happened to looked over the other table, where a couple were consuming chicken feet, and can't help but wonder what & why they enjoyed eating of all things - feet!?!? Hehehehe. Again dimsum is only at Php48/ order from 2:00 - 6:00! 128077128523

Availed the half off dim sum promo at causeway that is available from 3-5pm. Not the best dim sum in the world but it's good enough 128523 if you're a fan of dim sum then this is the place (and the promo) for you!
Their dim sum did not include hakaw though which for me is very very very sad.

Although I still believe that the Libis branch is the best one, I can't say anything bad about this branch. I just think the Libis branch has Better service and aesthetic set-up. But the food quality is the same and that's the important part 128077

The spinach soup is enough for me to go here. It's absolutely sulit and flavorful. It's thick, filled with big chunks of shrimp, fish, and loads of spinach. It's one of the best Chinese Resto soups I've tried to date. For shizzle 128523128523

Other sure ball hits:
128077 hakaw
128077 bean curd
128077 chicken feet (best in the market) 128523

Still one of my favorite Chinese restos of all time. 128114

We love their dimsum promo! We always go here between 2pm- 6pm because that's when they have the discount on dimsum in this branch.

We always get the beancurd roll, siomai, sharksfin, chicken feet, siopao and hakao. Although hakao isnt part of the promo. Oh and my dad also orders the fish head.

The service has always been the same which is okay for me. They are always attentive and fast.

The family always visits this place whenever my sister and her family come home for a visit. Her kids love chowing down on the siomai.

Pretty expensive if you're going here on a date, it really is for groups and families, etc.

Sometimes the service leaves something to be desired, but I guess it depends on who you get as a server.

Family faves: the aforementioned siomai, hakao, chicken feet (i dont partake in that 128541), yang chow rice, garlic brocolli, steamed fish (really good!!!), peking duck that you wrap in lettuce leaves (kinda like squab).

Sorry but their hakao tasted like paper towels...
LOL I know, such a weird description but the wrapper was soggy and thick and the shrimp was so bland. Major disappointment, especially since hakao's my favorite Chinese food. 128078

My cousins said their tea was tepid. :( I wouldn't know since I don't drink house tea haha. Their fried chicken was kind of mushy and tasteless, and the kropek was oily and makunat. We also had fish with corn sauce (weirdly sweet) and pata tim (bland). Plus their birthday noodles didn't have the awesome orange quail eggs in it aka my favorite part and the only reason I eat birthday noodles!!!! 128541

I liked their beancurd in a claypot though. Hahaha. Only dish I ended up enjoying. 128556

Their service was really bad too. We had already been eating for around 30 mins when they decided to give us the water we ordered. Lol.

Didn't like the service here. Banawe is better. Libis branch sucks ass. Bad experience. But I am reviewing this branch first. It was ok, food as always the same, reached the 48 peso dimsum. It wasn't that bad. My go to chinese fix, but I will always prefer banawe.
