This was our fourth stop for the Maginhawa foodtrip my friends and I had in September. Noodle house! I haven't been to many noodle houses, so this one quite excited me.

THE FEELS
The ambiance looked authentic Chinese, which I loved a lot, and it happened to be perfect for the weather because it was raining heavily when we went. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. The space, however, was quite small for a bestseller noodle joint. Good we didnt have to fall in line that day.

THE TASTES
We didn't have enough time as I had to catch a flight, so we skipped the DIY style. But I suggest you try customizing your noodles, pick your broth, and everything. That is, if you're familiar of what the items are. Otherwise, settle for the hot combinations as we did.

We had a big bowl of Beef-Szechuan-Egg Noodles (P185), 1st degree burn; and another bowl of Seafood-Asam Laksa-Wheat Noodles (P205), 2nd degree burn. That was good for four because the serving size was really big (for us). Yeah, tasted good. Just the right taste of everything. And it was deliciously HOT!

And then we had some pork dumplings (5 pcs, P110), which I didn't fall in love with because of the vinegar. Didn't quite match the taste.. Perhaps some saltier dip would complement?

OVERALL, I would recommend Caution Hot. There are many combinations you can play with, all perfect for the cold and rainy days.

My 2nd visit! Tried their Beef Szechuan and it was good, better than laksa noodles! But still lack of presentation.

After a few attempts of eating here finally its happening!

Luckily they have this wednesday special, the hot and sour soup which happened to be a warning-too-spicy broth and so i chose it along with all-veggie, wheat noodles, and an ultimate level of spiciness while le boyfie ordered their szechuan broth with beef, egg noodles and just their 3rd level of spiciness, upon ordering mine, for the nth time i got underestimated with that "sure ka ma'am?!" Question/warning haha well as i usually answer them, yes! with confidence haha, and just to have some slight humor i tried to asked the server "sure ka spicy?' Hahaha

Anyway, after a few sips and munch on the noodles i can say that it was spicy! Haha made me all teary as if i was crying, i'm not the type of person who sweats alot while eating spicy food, my eyes does all the sweating 128514 and everytime inreach that point where i get all teary as if i'm crying that's when i consider it spicy, and despite the intense burning sensation the broth was still rich in flavor that the spice doesn't overpower the flavor, that sour broth full of veggies, mushroom, and strips of tasty ham, really enjoyed it and the serving was huge! I got so full and became all groggy after eating haha talk about #buhaybaboy moment

When i come back, i'll dare my friends to beat my spice tolerance 128069🌶

No cold weather can stop me from eating this yummy Bao Bing!

It offers a good price. The place also and the staffs as well are accommodating. We visit this place at least thrice a month. Not only their desserts are good but everything in their menu!!

Always craving for their Dumplings 10084

Excited to make this review! Who in the world won't want Huge Ramen Bowls.128525128525128525 still can't get enough of it. Surprisingly i finish the whole bowl because it is really good, awesome goodness i can't even explain it in words. Haha! Compared to other ramen restos around the metro they offer really good amount of serving with an affordable prize. Imagine you can have a bowl of ramen with less than 200 pesos. We ordered 2 Beef Szechuan with egg noodles - 1st degree burn, 1 pork asado Szechuan with egg noodles - 2nd degree burn and 1 pork asado Szechuan with wheat noodles - ultimate burn. You can actually guess what's the ultimate burn in the photo. Ok clue (bloody broth)128569 i prefer the first degree burn because i don't think i can handle the ultimate burn so i settle on the safe side. Ahah! We also ordered pork dumplings and the one with vegetables. The staff was very accommodating even though she's alone. She's doing her job really well. The place itself is quite small with 6 tables. Before you can get in you have to sit and wait outside because there is plenty of people also waiting inside. That's how this resto is making a hit! Another hole in the wall. A great find in Maginhawa. And we will definitely come back. 1108811088110881108811088

I was searching on |ooloo while we drove around Maginhawa area when we suddenly saw this restaurant. The name caught our attention. Even though the temperature was hot, we decided to try the food.

We came here during their soft opening. I ordered their Beef Szechuan Egg Noodle Ultimate Hot Combination. The noodles can be good for two people if you're not that hungry. Just order more dumplings. All soups are topped with a fried egg, which I find a little bit off because it became a different entity and separated from the soup's flavor.

The space itself was nothing special. We are surprise because the broth and ingredients are so riched and flavorful, you will never thought that for only a less than Php 200 you can have that big bowl of Ramen with lots of flavors. I remember what we felt after that meal. I really enjoyed it here and was so full after eating that I couldn't walk.

Definitely worth trying for those who love extreme noodles. I do hope that they will have a wider variety of menu so that we can have more options.

If your craving for a noodle/ramen. Caution Hot! is the place to go. ✔️good food & ✔️budget friendly though it has a long queue but never mind it because it's worth the line.

My staple order: Beef Ramen, Szechuan Base, Wheat or Egg Noodle, Level One Burn. Pork Kuchay Dumplings and end it with a serving of Bao Bing or their halo-halo version.

If you are craving for a ramen that fits a student-budget, Caution:Hot! is the place to go. This is also one of the first restaurants I go to after being in the field hehe.

Since we eat here regularly, we already have a staple order: Seafood Ramen, Szechuan Base, Egg Noodle, Level One Burn. We pair it with ten pieces of Pork or Kuchay Dumplings and end it with a serving of Bao Bing or their halo-halo version.

Always good to eat here 10084

Caution Hot! is definitely one of those "hole in the wall", small start-up places that Maginhawa is famous for, but I would think that this would be one of its many highlights. Besides being one of the only places to offer really good noodle soup similar to ramen, it has items on the menu to cater to whatever you feel like for the day with its mix-and-match style while being big in size and awesome in flavor.

My boyfriend and I go here a lot -- especially when one or the other craves for their flavor or when we just feel like going on a cold and/or rainy day. My ideal combination of items are All-Veggie Classic with Wheat noodles, Kutchay-Pork dumplings and a glass of their house blend iced tea, while my honey loves either a Beef or All-Veggie Szechuan with Wheat Noodles.

Let's give a breakdown of what we love about each: I love the clean and clear pork flavor in the classic broth as it works very well with the kind of vegetables used in the All-Veggie option, especially the mushrooms and greens. The veggie meat allows for a nice chewy contrast for when I look for meat during the meal, but I like having a side of Kutchay-Pork dumplings to go with it so it can turn into a sort of wanton noodle soup. If the dumplings are dipped in the provided vinegar beforehand, it provides a refreshing sour flavor that makes you want to eat more. The iced tea is good as a palette cleanser when all the savory flavors get too much, so after a (long) sip (or two), it'll be time to dig in again.

I know that my honey loves quite a few things about the Szechuan option -- the peanut flavor in the sauce, the rich body that the soup has with the Chinese spin to it and the impact of the spiciness that the Classic soup lacks. It can go well with either beef or all-veggie as it turns into a heavier meal if the former is selected, while becoming a sort-of mapo tofu if you go for the latter. He sometimes orders iced tea as well, but soy milk would also be a good option, if it gets too spicy to handle.

Overall, Caution Hot! is one of the regular spots we go to for good food in Maginhawa and with what they offer, that isn't going to change anytime soon. Our only hope is that they can expand to have more space and more seats as the food they have may be in demand more and more these days.

I went here with my cousins a while back. One of them suggested this place, and with me being a lover of spicy food, just had to try it out!

The establishment wasn't anything flashy, with just normal tables, benches, and a few chalk drawings on the wall. It also wasn't that big either, but it didn't feel cramped. There weren't any other customers around at that time, but I could imagine the hectic crowd control during peak days/hours. All in all, the atmosphere was pretty simple for a noodle place.

My cousin ordered ramen for me, but I took it up a notch and made it super spicy. Aside from the noodles, I also ordered unli soya milk. I was surprised by how large the servings were! The price was definitely worth the size of the meal. The spiciness also delivered as I found myself constantly asking the kind waitress to refill my soya milk (a MUST have when going spicy!). The three of us weren't able to finish our meals and had them for to go instead.

If you wanna eat somewhere with friends or family and have a taste for hot stuff, I suggest going here. It's a great place for sharing and the price is really well met!

Had dinner here with the family, after a refreshing jog in UP. It was avhole-in-the-wall-ish type of eatery that can accommodate much less people vs the demand, so it was no surprise there was no sufficient parking area for customers (same goes, I believe, with most of the restos in Maginhawa). So we had to drive around and park somewhere farther.

Upon arriving, we had to wait for a while before we were seated, but waiting time was tolerable. Another unfortunate observation though was that the place had an awful smell (both inside and outside), like something was freshly painted. And these "somethings" were in fact their tables and the facade of the venue. Wish they allotted more time for the paint to fully dry up before they opened up.

Since I've already started with the opportunity areas, let me proceed and share our experience in terms of the service. There were only two staff members getting and providing the orders. This, when the place was packed, with a number of waiting customers to boot. In fact, I saw a couple of such folks who were already given their drinks and have started to eat their dumplings. In a seat in the corner. With chairs that served as their tables. Yaiks.

So back to the service. The two ladies were unsmiling but quick. What I specifically didn't like was when we were given our bill, one of them just placed it on top of our table. When I opened it, it was full of pieces of paper with our orders listed down. No receipt that stated how much the total amount was. I thought we were supposed to manually add everything up, but the server pointed out that there was indeed an amount, written carelessly in one of the pieces of paper. Oh, okay.

Anyway, on to the food. What I liked about Caution Hot was that the menu was very straightforward but orders were customizable. There were 4 types of toppings (all veggie, pork, beef, seafood), 3 types of broth (schezuan, asam laksa and classic, 2 types of noodles (wheat or egg) and 4 levels of heat (1st-3rd degree then ultimate burn). There were also dumplings and drinks to choose from.

I ordered the Pork-Schezuan-Wheat Noodle-1 Degree burn combo. As with any other food with broth (ie., Ramen, Mami, some Pinoy viands), the key is always the flavor of the stock. My order was quite excellent in that aspect. The fried egg, pieces of pork, some veggies and mushrooms were also a nice touch, and further added flavor and color to my order. My parents' and brother's food (a mix of pork and beef and various broth) were also quite delicious. Serving size was a bit too much for 1 person, but may be just right for 2 (if dumplings were added).

Overall, a fine experience, slightly tainted with the minor setbacks I've mentioned. Will be back, but looking forward to a better experience on factors outside the food quality 128077🏼

Yummy noodles by Caution Hot: Spicy Noodle House.

Another Maginhawa Food trip adventure for me!!!

I have been eyeing this noodle house for such a long time! This place is always full of people every time I pass by. Luckily, we almost had this place on our own one rainy afternoon on a weekday. The place is neat and has nice walls. We got to choose our seats on the far end since almost all of the seats were empty. There were few students studying with their laptops while slurping some hot noodles.

It took me a while to decide on what to eat. I hungrily ordered Beef-Classic-Egg noodles combi and was overwhelmed by its big serving. A bowl alone could feed at least two people. We also ordered kuchay-pork dumplings and Pork asado-Classic-Wheat noodles combi which is perfect for the rainy weather.

I would definitely go back here for another satisfying bowl of goodness! Slurp!!! 127836 #lorjanelamons #vscofood #vscocam #vsco #12days
