If you're looking for a place to chill.. Do not go here.

There are several other places in city golf that are much nicer than this place.

Drinks are a rip off and the sounds? OMG.

I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt since when I went here they were still on "soft opening" hopefully by now it has already improved.. But still, I wouldnt go here.. Not unless I dont have any other choice!! 128539

Labor Day eve night out with friends!

Since we are always at the Fort Strip on weekends, we thought we'd try somewhere new, so off to Cellar we went. From Fort to Ortigas. 128540 Took us 1 whole hour just to get there, at 11pm! How crazy is that??! What is UP C5, why you so traffic these days??

Anyway, we arrived at the CW Home Depot area at around 12 midnight already. Everybody else was already there, lounging at one of the big tables outside. There was a huge ceiling fan right above us but we all asked to be transferred to a table inside because it was still too hot.

It was acoustic night that Tuesday so the speakers were blasting live acoustic music, and I couldn't tell where it was coming from until we went inside and saw that there was an acoustic guitar singer situated in one of the corners. Haha. The place is really small, and the layout did not really allow for a small stage or at least, a focal point, for the performer, so he wasn't very noticeable.

He was ok. He sang mostly 90s classics from Mr. Big, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi. He didn't sing my request which was Ulan by Rivermaya. Haha. Boo! His set was really REALLY long, with no breaks or small talk to the audience. It was supposedly open mic night too, but he didn't ask for a volunteer till after he sang (and he was singing for like, an hour and a half?!). I think the female volunteer elicited more cheers and "sing-alongs" from the audience. Maybe because she sang really audience-friendly songs such as Linger by the Cranberries. Hehe. 127908 I still prefer Akoustika at Relik. 128522 At least there they have 3 sets each of acoustic performances and open mic. 128077 AND their set list is up to date with the latest hits! They really try to learn new songs for you!

Overall, it was an enjoyable night, but mostly because of the company I was with. The place is ok. What I noticed is that their logo is much too similar to the logo of "The Reserve," which is just at the nearby compound. Hmmm.

A new spot you should check out.

Located in the heart of Home Depot, Cellar Lounge is where V58 used to be. Prices are competitive with those of The Reserve and Bugsy's.

Go early on weekends to get a table or have one reserved as it can get packed around 11pm.

They're still on soft opening so only cash is accepted for now.
