It took me sometime to shy away from my usual Wintermelon Creme. But because of the popularity of Salted Caramel, which by the way started back when everyone started dunking their overly salted McDo fries into McDo Caramel Sundae 128521, I decided to give Cha Dao's Salted Caramel Creme milk tea a try.

I watched as the staff froth up the drink and beautifully drizzle it with caramel sauce. But all the beauty and creativity were trashed as soon as the staff covered the cup with a regular one rather than a dome lid. 128563 Booooooo!

I thought that was forgivable, you know. So I took a sip and another just to confirm...gah! Too sweet! There was nothing caramel-y about it and nothing salty about it too. It was pure sweetness! Gave me a headache right after 3 sips! There was even no hint of tea in it anymore. What I hate about it even more was that it caused me about 130php when their regular milk teas which tasted way better only cost 80-85php 128513

Tried their Wintermelon Fruit Tea XL (XL daw pero L lang to sa iba...) with pearls. That's P65 + P10 for the pearls. Nothing special. Kinda tastes like Jasmine with pearls somehow. :/ I dunno. I would've liked it better if they have their teas shaken.

The place is small so I didn't bother staying.

Baristas were nice though.

Surprised they weren't packed, ay o nga pala, it's Sunday today.

Ohwell.

Amazingly Cha Dao Tea Place opened its branch in front of my Alma Mater at Tanauan City Batangas, and when i've got the chance to be in this place last night i never had a second thought but to try what the students here are talking about.

Noticeably, shop is a bit small but once you get in, a relaxing ambience will definitely welcomes you. From the shade they have used to their wall (mint green), to the wooden table and chairs, and to the neat and cool place it has.128516Crew are all gracious and always smiling whenever they threw a glance to their clientele.128077

Cha Dao offers variety of drinks that is perfectly suitable for student's budget; price is ranging from 45 to 100 pesos only ( that's a steal isn't it?)128074 Since it's my first time here, i grabbed their best-seller "Wintermelon" with 50% sugar and sinkers-black pearl.

Ahhh, not so good baby 128561why oh why people got addicted to this (or is it just here this flavour is a no?). More of that, it was served warm and eventually getting cooler on the later which gets tasteless 'coz of the ice cubes. It has a bitter after taste and also the black pearl seems reserved on the fridge for so long because it's hard to chew.

Not a lucky day for me 128542

A pretty small place where you can enjoy classic milk tea flavors at a lesser price. Their Assam Milk Tea is ought to be tried! 128522

Great tea. Small place although its smallness doens't really equate to snugness. Barely any parking space. AC's not at full blast. Still, I give this place 4 stars for the excellent tea.

Cha Dao serves up classic milk teas for only 75 pesos for a big cup. You may add addt'l 10 pesos for the sinkers. Wintermelon creme tea and matcha green tea are my favorites. Definitely worth a try. :)
