A new commercial spot has risen in Kapitolyo. And that means this buzzing growth of a community of restaurants has not stopped just yet in this area. This newly made concept has three restaurants, one of them is Cha Tu Jak offering milk tea and some classic Thai cuisine.

Together with two other foodies, I got to try three types of their beverages. Their original blend Thai Milk with all its caffeinated glory is their best one for me and it sells only for Pup 120 for regular and Php 150 for large. The boldness of tea is felt with the creaminess of milk combining well.

We also had the Green Milk Tea version, Thai style with them using fragrant and light flavored Jasmin tea. I just found this a bit too sweet for my liking. Lastly, the Thai Emerald Lemon, a bit more expensive at Php 130 and Php 160 but better than that of the Green. It had a welcoming strong presence of citrus sour taste.

For a small meal, we also got some deconstructed Pad Thai. This classic, peanut filled meal was delicious. Its noodles were firm yet can easily be eaten. I loved how on point its flavoring was, thanks to a nice distribution of its key ingredients like bean sprouts, eggs, garlic scampi, chili, tofu, sugar and some meat.

When was the last time you visited this area? It’s calling your name and inviting you for some Thai.

Simply go here when you're craving for Thai milk tea. Obviously this will not compare with your serenitea or ten ren tea because this is simply Thai milk tea. This store opened March 2017 and i think this could be a recommendable place because it's one of a kind.

128204128525 Famous Thai Milk Tea @150PhP large
The size itself is big enough for large. I like that it's not sweet as the ones that can be bought in cans.

The Thai pink milk tea is interesting as well because it got some strawberry flavor

Next to try is their Thai green milk tea. It's more aromatic than the original because it got the scent of jasmine.

They use sweetened milk here so they don't have "sugar options" for your drinks. No less ice option as well according to the staff.

The place is divided into two. The counter side and the "inside" side. Lol. With maximum seating capacity of only about 15 pax on the counter side, and about 40 more on the "inside" side.

The place is good for working environment. It got wifi and a lot of power outlets ahem Dennis O

The place is pro 🏳️‍127752 as the theme came from Thailand 🇹🇭 so called land of the free.

I've tried a lot of milk teas already but I always crave for a new and special taste. So when I heard about this new milk tea craze and found out it's in Kapitolyo, it's too far! Ok nevermind 128514128553

Good thing we had an eatup yesterday in Kapitolyo and thanks to Norman Lester T for hooking us up to try this! It's just walking distance from Titto's.

What I first noticed was the place, there were 3 restos interconnected to the same building. I like the cozy vibe of this milk tea place though it's quite small for big groups.

We ordered their best sellers:
•Thai Pink Milk - P130 (Reg) P160 (L) I had this and of course, besides that the color is very artsy, I also like its sweetness mixed with the thai tea flavor! 128525 It's sooo good!

•Famous Thai Milk Tea - P120/150 Christina R ordered for this! And I liked it too, it tastes like the usual thai milk tea but it has a special kick!

•Cocoa Artisinal - P150/160 Norman had this and it was good as well! I like the blend of cocoa, the bitter sweet taste!

Overall, i like the place, their selection of milk tea, and the customer service.10084

This place must be new. Because I could feel the excitement in the voice of Norman Lester T when he invited me and Sandy P here after indulging in a hearty early dinner in Tittos a mere 150 m away.

This is a Thai tea place with different tea flavors and snacks. It's a small, brightly lit shop with a pocket garden in front, tiny tuktuks adorning its counters, trying to invoke casual elegance with their choice of wallpaper and decor.

We were welcomed warmly upon reaching the counter, asked if it was our first time and we're given suggestions ok what would be good to order.

We each took a different drink to try.

Famous Thai Milk Tea | Cha Yen 120/150.
Tasted exactly like Thai milk tea. I liked that it had the right amount of ice and sweetness, didn't feel diluted. My drink.

Thai Pink Milk | Nom Yen. 150/160.
Sweet cute drink! Thank goodness it wasn't made of rose water which I assumed it didn't. Of course this is what Sandy ordered.

Artisanal Cocoa | 150/180
Had a hint of cocoa.

I liked all the drinks! Not too sweet, nice mix of tea, sugar and ice. Feels like you can find a drink here depending on your mood. They only have a few choices here, it's unlike the leading tea places in the Metro.

The tea game here is real. I never drink milk tea after lunch as the caffeine keeps me up all night. Succumbing to peer pressure and the taste of milk tea, I got a small cup which kept me up til 730 AM the next day. Good thing I ordered the small one pa.

I must also commend them on their service!!!! This tea place is part of 3-4 small shops occupying one property, all owned by the same owner. I went out to wait for my Uber (beware of the horrible limited parking in the whole Kapitolyo area, just take Grab/Uber) and a girl came out with an umbrella and said she'll wait with me so I wouldn't get wet in the rain! Haneeep! 10084️ I was actually staying by the garage but she still held out the payong and guided me to my car. Bravo!!!

If you like small shops and a casual ambiance, this is a nice place to go to.

Cha Tuk Chak bring to us a Thai version of milktea. We have been so familiar with the Taiwan style of milktea with all those sinker. Thais milk tea are more simple and tasted much lighter. I got to try their Cha Yen and the Cha Khiao. The Cha Yen was the traditional thai milk tea. Love the flavor it was not sweet and got just enough creaminess in it. While Cha Khiao got a beautiful jasmine aroma in it. Love both of it but I bet not all will appreciate this kind of milktea like my sister. Hehe. 128522

Cha Tuk Chak is one of the new stalls at Gourmand. I wasn't planning on buying anything at first glance as my goal is to do recon first. Alas! The heat is unforgiving, milk tea is good idea.

I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the crew. Got me some Cha Yen. I guess this is the traditional Thai Milk Tea as the taste is similar to the ones i had at Thai joints. I liked the fact that it is not overly sweet and has the right amounts of creaminess.

The dude manning the stall said that he has an inkling that i will come back. Boy, a psychic fellow...i did come back the next day.
