Hubby and I have been wanting to go to Kart City Tarlac for a long time now. He loves karting and wanted to know what the place has to offer. But every time we go to Tarlac City, chances are always slim. Until last week. He was just so determined to go, and opted to have our dinner here. Good thing the place has it's own Cafe and Diner - Chap's.

He wanted to have the little girl experience karting but they didn't have any dual seater go kart available. So, we opted to check out their cafe first.

The place was impressive - couches for those who just wants to chill over a cup of coffee or milk shake, lots of tables and chairs for small or big groups wanting to try their meals. The interiors were of good taste too - nothing too grand but definitely decent and above average.

And then the food - the menu had an assortment of food offerings. Pizza, pasta, seafood, ribs, grilled selection, the usual diner milk shake, fries and burgers, chicken, steak and some coffee concoctions. We opted to get the following ---

Chap's Four Cheese Pizza - a must try in their menu. The little girl requested for this. Thin crust pizza overloaded with cheese! There was a very thin layer of tomato sauce as the base then it was loaded with cheese - I'm guessing there's mozzarella and cheddar here. It's then finished off with some herbs. It had this gooey goodness and I also liked that it was not too salty. Was a hit for the little one too!

Mixed Seafood - the serving was good for two. It had an assortment of seafood - about 4 pcs of shrimp, 3 pieces of mussels, some fish meat, small pieces of squid and about 2 pcs of clams 128541 then it had some green and red bell pepper, onions and onion leeks. The sauce that married everything together was soy sauce based, was a little sweet but I liked it.

Then hubby went for their Grilled Baby Back Ribs with Fries. He got some soggy & oily fries and small serving of ribs. Good thing the meat was tender and the sauce was more of barbecue. Not complaining too much since it was only for 180php.

Prices were reasonable but then again you shouldn't expect too much. The only thing that went beyond 200 was the pizza, at 350php for 8 slices which was still pretty reasonable.

Not a top notch place if you'll ask me honestly since the service wasn't that good too but if you're in Tarlac City and you're looking for a place other than those found in Manila, this one is a good try 128521
