Perfect 5! So far, it's one of the best buffet I've gone to. Prices of the food are reasonable but absolutely mouthwatering! Had very good experience eating and cooking my own food at the same time. Ambiance is big relatively big and gives you this laid back feeling. Would be back soon to try it with other friends as well.

No, just no. It's not worth it. Go to Yakimix instead. For a hundred-peso difference, you have a ton of other choices. Grilling experience wasn't good- food was either burnt or raw, you can't get it cooked properly because the heat was too strong. Service was bad, nobody pays attention to your flaming grill. There weren't a lot of customers but no servers were to be found. Took 30 minutes before we got our utensils. Japanese menu which we paid 100-peso extra for didn't taste quite right. I'm never coming back here ever again, and don't either. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Tried out this open-air grilling place near one of my clinics finally. Practically everyone I know has already eaten here except for me huhu. Well, now I too have smelled like smoke and choked on the grilling fumes!! Haha.

Charaptor offers a buffet that includes meat and seafood to grill as well as pastas, fries, nachos, etc. on the side for about 400 pesos or so. You can add 70 php for unlimited drinks including iced tea, etc. They also actually have an ala carte menu but I've never tried.

The buffet spread is fairly substantial, consisting of isaw, chicken, pork meats, shrimp, squid, fish, etc. for grilling. They also have banana slices, corn, etc. I like their potato wedges and their chicharon bulaklak! They also have a variety of dips and sauces which you can use. The food is fairly good. It's just that you WILL smell like smoke and meat after. I even had several instances where I coughed and my eyes watered due to the smoke. The smoke suctioning devices in the middle of the grill can only do so much.

Oh well, worth a try for a fairly good experience with your barkada! 128077

Putok-batok day! Love their chicharong bulaklak, delish!!!! Dun palang sulit na 390php. 128514128514128514 Kidding, grilled lots of isaw, fish, chicken, beef and my fave squid. 128521 Isaw party!!!!! Some meat were bland and some were flavorful. We were already full when they serve some french fries and "maling" in the their buffet. 128546 Staffs were nice but they were slow refilling the food, even took them around 30mins to refill their soysauce with kalamansi!!!!!! 128545 They also offer beer for a separate price. Perfect combo with the grilled meat. 128077128077128077

Literally burned the first batch I cooked. Haha.

They had a wide range selection of ihaw-ihaw. From bbqs, fish, chicken and meat. Not a fan of fish so I immediately went for the chicken, meat and the squidballs/hotdogs. Haha. Everything was sulit and cheap. Pwede na 128077🏻 A cheaper version of Yakimix. Wala lang sushi and the ready cooked ulam. Plus 45 pesos for the drinks which I believe is the same with the iced teas in Family Mart. Good thing is they had soup (Sinigang na Hipon that day), Fried rice (2 different kinds) and pasta with 2 different sauces. I wasn't able to try the pasta or rice since I didn't want to get full right away. They also had a wide spread of sauces for the ihaw-ihaw. And they have unli fries T_T syempre yun yung pang-finishing ko. Haha

My friends and I paid i think not over 450 pesos which is good.

1 comment tho, we were seated near the big fan tapos kaharap ko sya and the smoke from the inihaw is burning my eyes. Idk if ganon talaga or maybe maliit lang kasi ako or unfortunate na dun kami nakaupo. I had to adjust the seat to a different location na nakaharang ata ako sa daanan pero kasi I can't literally see and the smoke is burning my eyes. Hindi naman daw pwedeng ibaba ng todo yung exhaust. Haha.

"San tayo kakain?" - 1 of the most difficult questions to answer when it's time to eat!! My gf and were looking for a new place to eat around Makati and thankfully, we thought of CHARaptor before 6pm. (Resto opens at 6 and I heard that there are long queues). Instead of driving there we just took a cab coz I remembered that they had a small parking space. But I was wrong. Haha! Apparently, they occupied the vacant lot in front of them and used it as the parking lot for their guests.

We just came in time and there were just a few groups starting their grills. We got to our table and the staff that said we could start choosing what to grill while we were waiting for the coal to arrive at our table. All I cared about was to get lots and lots of chicken isaw! Haha! I've been craving so much for it which may have triggered the decision to really try this resto out. 128540 My stomach isn't built for buffets (because i immediately get full just by seeing the food), but I really didn't feel that here. Maybe it's because the selection wasn't in a very long table where I could see an unending trail of food. Hehe. Overall, the food was good. The thing here and in other "grill your own food" type of buffets, it's up to the customer on how he could make himself a good meal. Overcooked food will make your food dry, undercooked, well.. It's gonna be raw! So as much as possible, bring someone who loves grilling/cooking because aside from that, it can be kinda tiring. Haha! They also have cooked food like rice, mashed potatoes and pasta. But i didn't really get a chance to try it since my focus was on the grilled food! 128513

If you'd like to have something to drink, they have juices and iced tea for only P45 - bottomless. They will provide you a large mason jar then you can just pick whatever drink you want. My tip is not to fill the whole jar with just one drink. Try filling 1/4 then go back to try others if you didn't like the taste.

By the time we were done, the place packed with people! Some were even the ones who where there before we arrived! If you're planning to try it out, come in early. P390 isn't bad for a buffet. 128077🏼

Everything is bad for your health, chicharon bulaklak, fried chicken skin, barbecued innards and meat; but why do bad food tastes so good? It might be quite a while before I go back. Not bad for 390.

Alexander A was in town and the clingy folks decided to celebrate this with good food at Charaptor. It's a Yakiniku place located at the busy streets of San Lorenzo village in Makati. For just Php390, you get to enjoy their wide array of grilled food "all you can"!

The place wasn't as upscale or fancy as other Yakiniku places around like Yakimix, but it's already good on its own. It was quite packed when we got there but we didn't wait that much to get seated.

We were amazed with the selection of food they had that night - they got salmon, tuna belly, chicken isaw, shrimp balls, baby back ribs, chicharong bulaklak, squid, corn, tofu and a lot more! They also have soup, fried rice, calamari and pasta dishes for other options aside from your "ihaw-ihaw". They also have various selection of Nestea iced tea drinks bottomless for just Php 45.

Everything we had was good especially the isaw, tuna and shrimp balls. I enjoyed grilling while catching up and eating with friends. Such a nice way to unwind before the start of another workweek.

Thanks to Kirby G Zia M Dastine S Chichi T JP G for tagging me here!

Not really a fan of buffet restaurants that make you cook your own dinner for you. It defeats the point eating out.

Anyway, tried this because a friend of mine suggested it. She said there will be lobsters. I was expecting lobsters. Where's the lobsters???

A toned down version of Yakimix/Sambokojin/any grill buffet restaurany except that they use coals for grilling. The food was bland, powdered drinks, dirty restrooms. 1 star just because it's cheap. That's it.

As I've said in my ig, "that's the only flowers I want for the night" 128525 #ChicharongBulaklak

Great time with Baguio peeps, since Alexander A is in Manila. #AlexInManila Decided to have an awesome sunday bbq sesh with Russel F Chichi T Dastine S and JP G.

For only Php 390 (Dinner)/per person, you can get to enjoy unlimited bbq food as long as you want. Tried salmon belly, tuna belly, salmon roll, shrimp roll, shrimp balls, then later have isaw (which is yum!), baby back ribs (with all the fats 128061), chicharong bulaklak (we ate a ton) and corn!!! 127805127805127805 128155

Put everything in the grill, have a lot of talking and taking photos (of course), while Kirby G do the grilling, and EAT! 128523

Oh and avail their unlimited iced tea (any kind) in a BIG mason jar. (Of which, I didn't even finish two!) 128517

In celebration of Alexander A's visit to Manila (wuw, artista), we headed down to Charaptor to enjoy some unlimited street food madness! I'm a sucker for isaw and the like so how could I say no... even if I'm from Rizal. 128514 the things I do for food and friends (but more of the first siguro joke).

The place isn't fancy (you already knooooow) but it's conducive for grilling and catch ups. I love how the look and feel is a hybrid of a Korean grill place and a local pub bar. It's casual so you really go there for the food and the company.

Their chicharon bulaklak, salmon belly, pork ribs, and chicken isaw are sure winners. Grilling the chicharon bulaklak makes it even more awesome (and deadly)!

Unlimited Nestea drinks are available (in mason jars) as well. For p390 + 45 (for the drink), it's a sure hit!

Hope you enjoyed our company Alexander A. Urameshi-ya next time! 128521

Grilled meat is always a good idea127842127841, so when Alexander A was in Manila, (hence #alexinmanila) Kirby G, Chichi T, JP G, Zia M, Russel F and i headed out to Charaptor Barbecue Bar & Grill in Makati. Karens unite! 128513128077🏼

Charaptor is an all-you-can barbecue type of restaurant located along Kamagong corner Aranga street in Makati.

The interiors are reminiscent of a korean barbecue place - tables with holes in the middle where the grill is placed inside and an exhaust pipe over its top. The gap in between the grill and the exhaust pipe is just ideal for the smoke to go up and out the main chimmney.

I observed that they use charcoal instead of gas for the barbecue for the whole authentic "ihaw" feel. They also give you a basting sauce (in-house mix) that you can slather on your precious meat before you place them on the grill.

Since this is a buffet of sorts, here's a rundown of what i kept stuffing myself silly:
- Chicharon bulaklak (grilled)128525: had the weird idea of slightly grilling the chicharon b. Epiiic!
- Tuna belly: nice chunk-a tuna
- Baby back ribs: turned out to be veery nice
- Isaw: They have really nice isaw there
They also have rice, pasta and soup to pair your grilled food with. And yes, also do serve beer, but for additional cost. Was thinking of getting a cold one127866 but i kept my eyes on the prize.

Maybe it was because it was a Sunday dinner, but calling on the wait staff was a little bit of a challenge. But when they attended to us, they made sure we got what we needed128522. Overall, experience was good. It was a considerable steal since the whole Charaptor experience was only P390 (without drinks). That, and sharing a meal with friends is always a good idea 10084128513

Weekend rate is now 390php! Yay for anniversary promo!128513

What I loved about Charaptor:
128149 Concept. I like the "chill buffet" vibe!
128149 Food. Thank you Charaptor for serving yummy sauce! Don't forget to try the teriyaki and the hickory dips!
128149 Parking space. It won't be a problem. They have a huge lot for your cars.

What I didn't like about this place:
128148 Price. I think it's a bit expensive for the food that they offer. I also got surprised that the drinks aren't included in their rates (contrary to what other reviewers said128532). I think they changed it already...you have to add 45php. To think that the place isn't even air-conditioned.
128148 They use charcoal. Huhu. Very bad for the health.

I'd love to revisit this place though! I enjoyed my stay128513

This place is really grillin'!!

Rated it as "ok" coz of the following reasons:
1. I dont like the agony of personally cooking food first before consumption
2. After some time, all the meat seemed to taste the same.
3. No aircon - good thing the weather was fair.

My favorite would be the isaw manok! Whoohoo! 128077🏼

Worth a try for those whi are into meat and charcoal! 128521
