Our Bonifacio day adventure started at this beautiful place. Thank goodness this was our first stop, because we were able to watch the sunrise before finally feeding ourselves. We were also able to tour the restaurant and take photos without having difficulties.

My favorite part aside from the view of Taal? Their restroom and the function room beside it. I wasn't able to take pictures, but it seems that they designed their CR to make people want to eat in them lol! The function hall next to it is a perfect place to house any girl's sweet 16 party, with its pastel pink and blue theme.

This paradise opens at 6am, but they start the food preparations at 7am. Having arrived earlier, we ordered in advance and woke ourselves up with some of their drinks.

9728️BREAKFAST SAMPLER P480
Their breakfast sampler is composed of two eggs, bacon strips, pork sausage, ham, hash brown and two buttermilk pancakes. The pancake is what I loved about this dish. It's fluffy and delicious, even without the aid of the syrup. But of course, adding syrup will made it better. The bacon was not too crispy, which I liked. Everything else was okay.

127859COUNTRY BREAKFAST P380
Their country breakfast is just their breakfast sampler without the ham and hash brown.

127860BELGIAN WAFFLE P260
Two waffles sandwiching blueberries, topped with more fruits and whipped cream for a sweet sweet morning. The waffles were a firmer inside than desired. It didn't seem like waffles.

128046BEEF TAPA P310
Their beef tapa was also okay for me. I like my tapa either having a little more sour or salty taste. This had the flavors just right, but for it to be my kind of tapa, additional flavors must surface.

I loved the ambiance of the place. Service was okay. Pricing is a little higher compared to the quality of the food, but I can let it slide given the wonderful view and amount of serving.

Thank heavens for holidays, we could just have a splurge day at tagaytay. This is our first stop.

This place opens 6am BUT only serves drinks until 7am. Arriving here around 6:30, we ordered in advance. The servers were a little sleepy pa. The place is ever great. It has a lot of CRs. So our orders were served around 7:15am

128204 breakfast platter
This contains
- pancakes werent so fluffy but tastes okay
- slice of ham. It was just okay. Not oily
- hash brown looks like it was premade. Bagay na bagay sa tomato ketchup served
- sausage was smokey to taste
- pancake syrup is not maple syrup.

128204 belgian waffle
- the batter is denser and harder than the pancakes. Parang luma. The serving contains blueberry compote sandwiched by the waffles topped with whip cream, oranges, cherries and kiwis. The maple syrup made it more "edible"

128204128525 beef tapa
Wow. Although same ordinary BoB, this is sweet, and more tender. I love this one and is very recommendable.

Great company made experience here more likable, dine outside to catch the view of the taal.

This is a house converted to a laidback resto. Dined here at lunchtime and settled for my usual Bag of Bean's staples: roast beef and baby back ribs. Just another good place to dine in Tagaytay with a view and some good morsels.

Charito by Bag of Beans for me has the coolest ambience among bag of beans in Tagaytay.

This would definitely give you a great coffee experience!

It is our 2nd time here. The first one was only for dessert and coffee as we only chanced upon this place then. This time, we purposely planned to have breakfast here as we believe it has better view than Breakfast at Antonio's (which is a family favorite). We were excited.

Other than the view, the barako coffee, and its cozy ambience, there is nothing else I can rave about this place.

Service is poor. (I even overheard one waiter complaining that he's too tired as guests keep coming. Duh, it was just 9am and there were only 3-4 occupied tables.) There were sevetal staff on duty. Also, It took maybe 20 minutes before our food were served.

Food was just ok.

Here's a runthrough of what we ordered:
1. Country breakfast - Php380 : 2 huge pancakes, 2 strips bacon, sausage, 2 eggs. Good for 2 persons.

2. Beef tapa with garlic rice, 2 eggs, achara. Php310

3. Clubhouse sandwich. Smaller than what I expected. ( the veggies in the pic is from order #4 php320

4. Baby Back Ribs php495 (choice of rice or mashed potato(

5. None of the breakfast sets include coffee. So i ordered Barako php105.

Plus 10% service charge.

Will I come back again? Hmmm..

After dining at Concha's Tagaytay last week, we decided to try having coffee at Charito's after. The Caramel Macchiato & Cappucino were great, we even bought brewed coffee (Hazelnut) at Bag of Beans. So we decided to come back today to try your food. Coming from Manila going to Tagaytay (about 2 hrs. drive) just to have lunch, we thought, would be all worth it, as we already looked at the menu last week and we (my daughter & myself) were excited to try your food already having in mind what to order. My daughter ordered Broiled Chicken with mustard cream sauce & I ordered Gambas Al Ajillo (fresh tiger prawns sauteed in butter & garlic). Our orders came after almost 30 minutes. When I started eating my tiger prawns, I noticed that it was still raw. I called for the supervisor (as he had introduced himself) and told him that the prawns were not cooked well, without apologising he just took my plate & told me that he will bring it to the kitchen & show it to the person who cooked it without even asking me if I wanted a replacement or I just wanted a cooked tiger prawns. So I thought he knew what he was doing. After about 15 mins. he came back with a new plate, this time my plate doesn't have the tiger prawns that I originally ordered but just ordinary prawns. I asked him to call for the manager. I asked the manager why am I being given ordinary prawns when the menu says it's supposed to be tiger prawns & I'll be paying for tiger prawns anyway. Andrew (the manager) was courteous enough to apologise for the prawns, for having us wait & even for the behaviour of his supervisor and was gracious enough to tell me that as an apology he was giving me a complimentary lunch. And for my inconvenience & for waiting he would like me to just bring home with me as "take out" the tiger prawns that was first served to me. Sounds good to me, so I said thank you & told him not to worry about it anymore, I just wanted to eat already as it was already 3pm, a little late for lunch. The food was ok and we, again, ordered coffee after having lunch. After a few minutes, our waiter handed me my "compensatory lunch" for take out while we were having coffee. But when we asked for our bill, we were still charged of the supposedly complimentary lunch, so I told our assigned waiter to confirm with Andrew. When he came back he said that Andrew told him that the (supposedly compensatory) "take out" was not complimentary and I still have to pay for it, only the lunch that I ate was, which was not what Andrew told me earlier when I complained. I didn't even asked for the complimentary lunch nor the take out, in the first place. It was Andrew who volunteered to give it to me as a way of apologising, so I was ok with it. I was even planning to give him some commendation for his supposed good PR. However, I didn't even bother arguing about it anymore. I paid for the bill, left my (supposedly compensatory) "take out tiger prawns" on top of the table (which Andrew wanted me to try at home) and left Charito's very disappointed. Word of honour is still very important to many and word of mouth is still very important for business. I don't think we would want to go back again.

Dinner at tagaytay as per my sister's request. Decided to bring them to charito since they haven't tried it yet and I don't want to drive all the way to breakfast at antonios 128513
Arrived at about 630 and there were a couple of free tables at the terrace area. Since I needed to go to the restroom, was able to see other places of the resto I haven't seen before like they foyer area near the stairs and another room on the 2/F.
Was surprised though that they stopped serving their breakfast fare, I remember having their bangus a few months back at the twin lakes branch. Anyways, tried the roast beef (495) and we also ordered the Caesar salad, capprciosa pasta, Hungarian sausage, clam chowder and one more dish I forgot 128513
Food was served at the correct order 128077🏼 the salad was pretty good! My mom liked the clam chowder. My roast beef arrived and it was a huge serving! So sulit Na at that price 128540 the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy just how I like it. I also liked the burnt edges and fatty bits of the roast beef. Since it was so big I was able to share it with everyone else.
The sausages were ok but bitin. The pasta was just ok too.
Also ordered hot chocolate for dessert, funny Lang cos my mug said BAG OF BEAN. Kulang ng S? 128584
Less one star from my previous review cos there were so many unavailable things on the menu. Also, since it was raining, there were a lot of big and small insects flying around. I suggest that they put a sheer mesh net at the balcony area where the trees are so less insects can come in. I don't think this will hamper the view of taal lake.

A beautiful Tagaytay Escape last July 22-23. On our last day in Tagaytay last Saturday, we won't go home till we visit the newest branch of Bag Of Beans, Charito by Bag Of Beans.

With several branches already spread across Tagaytay, Bag of Beans has definitely and successfully made its mark as one of the top must try in Tagaytay.
Bag of Beans secret spin off sister - Charito by Bag of Beans which just opened last March.

Woke up early that Saturday morning and we decided to left our car at the hotel and we thought that it's easy to walk. We keep on walking and walking until we realized that it's a bit far not like if you bring the car with you. Anyway it's alright because we don't want to miss the place. We almost got back to Balay Dako which we had our lunch a day before. It's just few blocks away from it lang pala. Its just on the main road. Easy to find. Next time I'll make sure will bring our car with us.

Charito's is an upscale version of Bag of Beans. Looks so fancy. I love fancy places. The place is homey, elegant and picturesque in every corner and most of all it has the perfect view of Taal Volcano while having a good breakfast! 128525128507127860127774

We got Carbonara, Shepherds pie which is one of our all time favorite every time we visit Bag of Beans and of course this lovely dessert, Blueberry Cheesecake.

The plating of every dish was so beautiful, that feeling that you just like to stare it the whole day, about that taste ? It's really good128076 price speak for itself. It's the best blueberry cheesecake I've ever tasted and the most beautiful one I've seen128525

Truly satisfied with our visit here. From the place which is Instagram worthy, the food , and good service also.

You have to visit them when you go to Tagaytay128077128076

Arrived early in Tagytay two weekends ago so we dropped by to kill time. I honestly thought this is a cafe, only to find out it's a fine dining Bag of Beans counterpart but still under the same management.

It's the usual house-converted to a restaurant thus the very homey vibe. Two-levels of well-adorned dining area was indeed fine dining, thus the higher price than the usual Bag of Beans menu prices, around 10% higher, exclusive of service charge.

We just ordered two slices of the Blueberry Cheesecake and a cup of coffee. Weird looks at us for ordering just that but meh. Hahaha!

Blueberry cheesecake was still good but not as wow as before. I can't point out if there was something lacking or I was already used to the taste, having tried it a lot of times.

Service was quite slow. We sat by the alfresco area, overlooking Taal.

Good place for family celebrations or get-together with friends!

I was just saying in my last review that i was ready to have breakfast here. I did not expect that my next dining experience here is dinner. So how is it like here at night?

It was a bit foggy that night, it was drizzling too. Good thing heavy rain did not push through lest we could not enjoy the shaded alfresco area near the bar. Basically it's much cooler here, more romantic because lovely candles are lit on each table. Good thing marami kami lest it would look like as if we are having a date. Lol. The CR is a little bit creepy but then again the majestic chandelier dispels every creepiness.

128204 garden salad
One thing: all their salads are so sulit! This one is below 250 but then one order os enough for 4 people. This salad only consists greens, olives, capsicums and cucumbers. Totality of this is too bitter. The vinaigrette was of good help. I say this salad is rather boring.

128204 128525greek salad
My ever dieting boss cant get enough of one order so this order came shortly. I like this salad more because there were no capsicum, rather tomatoes were there. I super love the capers and feta cheese added. The vinaigrette this time is lovelier because of added fruity taste.

128204 bistek tagalog
Eek. Super salty. However the beef were tender. We tried to tell the waiter but then wala siyang magawa. We just ordered extra rice as remedy for its salty sauce.

128204 128525bangus
I love this dish! Very big milkfish, the buttered vegetables served on top of the fish's belly were so good too! Boneless so i suggest you order this if you want fish eaten straight.128517

128204 bag of beans polvoron
We also had assorted polvoron. Not so good. House of polvoron is better. BoB's got cookies and cream, peanut, ube, plain , and pinipig flavor (not so sure the green wrapper one)... But i'd still recommend the peanut flavor.. Lasang fresh peanuts from the soil. Ahahaha.

128204 bag of beans yema cubes
Too sweet. Passed this one.

128204 128525 bag of beans peanut cookies
Sweet but i find it to my liking. I really don't know if it's called cookies--it's the one on the cylindrical cookie ware.

I should not forget to let you know that insects (i think especially rainy seasons) are abundant here at night-large moth-like gamo-gamo that is attracted to light. Remedy is just to turn of the lights--but then it will just move to the nearest light source.

Come by here at night and get a little filipino romantic. 9786128588🏻

I think i had a lock jaw after my visit here.

Ang ganda kasi ng view. Over looking the taal volcano.
Unlike balai dako na may harang, this one is without. Pwede kang mahulog pababa. Hihi

So i have verified why the Bag of Beans nearest at the rotunda has not permanently closed. It's just being renovated according to a staff here in Charito-- Charito, i am so amazed, is more grand than any other Bag of Beans restaurants. It can accommodate over 200 customers! The feel overall is really sossy high class! However each portion of the mansion restaurant has different themes.

There's an alfresco area where the view is the great taal volcano--this is where i chose to stay during my visit. There is an option to stay alfresco upstairs or downstairs.

There's also an indoor dining place--welcome titas and titos of the philippines! You can choose upstairs or downstairs.

They also serve alcoholic drinks at the bar area semi covered beside the al fresco-- i may be able to love it cause there's a piano where you can play and express over your feelings.

Function rooms are available here!
Spring function room - pink and blue good for 20pax.

Winter function room - here's for a smaller group (6-9) black snd violet is their theme. Very cozy.

Summer function room - yellow and green. It has its own CR so this is much better to rent. This is overlooking the taal volcano.

Unfortunately there's no autumn room (aww)

Each customer staying at the function room should have a minimum spend of 1000+pesos. 🤑🤑

Ambiance itself is breath taking enough. Now i just came here to have a snack and i just know one dessert that really sells the best!

128204128525 blueberry cheesecake
What's extraordinary is it's five layers!! Just look at the photo! The bottom is the main crust. It's not so thick like Starbucks and it's hard as a mantle. Not sweet as well. Above that is a FROZEN cheesecake. It's icy and refreshing. What a creation! Above that is another crust--yet it's thinner and more subtle. Above that is a creamy mixture of well--not so cheesy as a cheesecake. This is the thickest layer. Then glazed by canned blueberries and its syrup 128528

A slice is big enough for a big stomached person like me. It costs 175 a slice.

128204 cafe mocha.
More like a coffee (who's review did i read that? He/she is right!!) the latte art is similar to my watering hole experience but this one shows more skills. Remember to stir it as the chocolate syrup is deposited at the bottom of the cup

I am ready to try real breakfast here. Although i seized up that it's a lot costly here... But you are paying for the experience 🤑128524

Went here for coffee and desserts since the main Bag of Beans store near the roundabout was already closed.

The place is extremely beautiful. Nice interiors and the vibe is chill. They have bottomless house blend brewed coffee, which tasted fine. Their blueberry cheesecake is the bomb. Huge slice and not too sweet. Would love to go back for their meals :)

I think this is the perfect "tita" place in Tagaytay. :) I have never noticed this place in past Tagaytay trips. After dinner at Breakfast at Antonio's, on our way home, we decided to stop by and have coffee and dessert. Coffee was good, I was expecting more variety for desserts thougj. The pricepoints were typical of Tagaytay restaurant. Service was not the best but I''d still come back for the homey, cozy ambience perfect for tita friends hihi (Tita friends aka friends who want a homey quiet place to chat over coffee or wine). I was not able to check if they have a good wine list though. I can't comment on the ambience since we went around 8pm. I'd be back.

Stopped here for coffee and snacks on our way back to Manila. We ordered carbonara (tasted pretty good), blueberry cheesecake that really made my tastebuds sing, and caramel macchiato and caramel cappuccino. Interior's beautiful! And the staff and crew were very nice. The guard brought us umbrellas because we didn't know how to get out of the car without getting soaked in the rain (despite parking near the entrance... Lakas ng ulan!!!). And the view was breathtaking!!! :)

Minus 1 star because of the construction... Nakakasira ng mood and kwentuhan yung tunog ng drills and mga pukpok ng martilyo.

Place looked lovely. Food was just okay, nothing special. Service needs improvement. They said this was supposed to be the fine dining restaurant of Bag of beans but you're better off going to their main restaurant. Their service is fast food service level. Not impressed at all.
