Vietnamese Spring Rolls - uses fresh ingredients, stuffed with sliced carrots, cucumber, cabbage, turnip, ham or bacon not sure which one, vermicelli and shrimp. Served with not-too-sweet sauce that had fish sauce in it. 128077🏻Tip: if you are ordering for your self, you can forget about the main entree because this is very filling. Otherwise, you can share with your friends.

I loved their free 2 pc. buns with butter served on another saucer. Buns were soft inside and chewy outside. It is a plus they were served hot.128077🏻

Hot choco - no drama hot choco, less sugar more choco128077🏻

Broiled Chicken with Mustard Sauce - was okay. Served with mashed potato and veggies (young corn, french beans and carrots) 128077🏻

Manhattan Clam Chowder - hardly found pieces of clams, more of diced potatoes, carrots and onions, creamy and salty the way I expected it to be 128077🏻

Desserts - We dis not order today but so far all desserts were good. I ordered Strawberry Cheesecake in the past and it was okay. My friend also looks forward to desserts at this place.

Ambience - perfect, nice cosy interior, spectacular view of Taal Lake,

Sometimes, there’s a lot of people here but there is enough space for everyone because the guard wont usually let guests get past the parking area when they are already full. 128077🏻

People working here - Servers are mostly men in long sleeves with tie. Lady

Price - As of writing, I don’t have the bill yet but it would probably be around Php1,100.00 including the service charge.

They charge 10% for service.

We’ve been here many times. So 128077🏻

After spending some time in Sky Ranch last Tuesday, it's finally time for us to have lunch! Again, Josh and I went there to splurge on good food, so that's what we did. Since I'm not that familiar with the food scene in Tagaytay, I let Josh choose our lunch place. 128522

He settled for Charito by Bag of Beans (I think he just wants to get good coffee HAHA), and I went along with it. This branch hasn't been around for a long time yet, compared to the first branch of Bag of Beans which has already been established almost two decades ago. However, Charito has already gained a following from Tagaytay regulars and new visitors alike. Still, I was not sure what to expect, because I haven't been to any Bag of Beans prior to this visit. So when we got there, I was pleasantly surprised at how great the place looked! I felt like I was transported to France in an instant -- the French-inspired interiors were sooo nice! 128525

After gawking at the interiors for a moment, I focused on their simple menu, checking our what they had to offer in the food department. 128514 Here's what we got:

128104 FOR JOSH:
✔ BEEF MEDALLION WITH ONION RED WINE SAUCE (Php 490) - 1108811088110881108811088 (4.511088, rounded up)
This is tenderloin beef (you may choose your preferred doneness) wrapped in bacon, served with vegetables and mashed potato or rice on the side. The only negative thing I heard from Josh about this dish is that the serving size was too big for one person. He's also quite particular with food temperatures, so he wished that the plate was heated, so it will be able to retain the heat longer in the cold Tagaytay weather. Josh also requested for medium rare doneness, but he was served with beef that's not really pinkish anymore (probably a medium?), a bit overcooked compared to his request.

✔ BARACO COFFEE (Php 105) - 1108811088110881108811088
Of course, Josh had to order coffee from them. He decribed the coffee as "very fruity and slightly acidic with hints of bitterness". I tried a sip as well, but it was too strong for my liking. I'm not a coffee person though, so as long as Josh enjoys it (he has high standards on coffee), it should be good. 128076

128105 FOR ME:
✔ VONGOLE (Php 380) - 1108811088
I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong dish (Charito might not be strong in pastas???), but I was so disappointed with their Vongole. The pasta noodles were al dente, but were too thick and tasted floury at the center, hence making the pasta really dry. The clam toppings were plentiful, but did not seem to be that fresh. The overall dish tasted bland. I hope it was just a bad day. Josh was right about one thing though, they should've given us a lemon wedge. A squeeze of this citrusy goodness would've helped a lot. 128530 Cafe Mary Grace's Vongole is waaaay better!

✔ STRAWBERRY FRUIT SHAKE (Php 140) - 11088110881108811088
I was supposed to get Fresh Dalandan Juice for my drink, but it was unavailable, so I opted for this instead. The strawberries were really sweet, so I enjoyed this drink. I wish the blended ice was finer than it is, though. 128542

As I've pointed out earlier, their ambiance was really on point and IG-worthy. No doubt about that. It was also good that they do not scrimp on the serving sizes of their dishes, but more than the quantity, I hope the quality is also kept to a high standard.

Let me talk about the service. The servers weren't as attentive as I hoped they would be. It's quite hard to hail a waiter if you need something, even though there were quite a lot of them. They seem really disorganized.

Since Josh was overwhelmed by the huge serving size of his order, he was not able to finish it. When he called on a waiter to have it wrapped up, he looked at us with a "Seryoso?" look. I mean, c'mon. We paid for it wholly, so we should be able to bring it home if we can't finish it, right? 128530 It was just sooo rude. Hence the rating.

I'm not sure if I'll come back again next time. I'm sure there are a lot more awesome restaurants in Tagaytay anyway.

Being a caffeine-driven person, I suggested to my family to try something homegrown since Tagaytay has some the best types of coffee. We went to Charito Bag of Beans and the coffee was good! The view of Taal was likewise breathtaking. The interiors were reminiscent of French designs.

I don't have any photos for this branch... yet.

We dropped by Charito by Bag of Beans on our way home to Manila because we wanted to take home some Blueberry Cheesecakes. (It's an addiction!) I heard from my friend who's also a fan of their cheesecake that you can take home a frozen cheesecake without the blueberry topping yet. When I asked if that was possible, they said "Yes - for the whole cheesecake." So I asked how much it was and if I remember correctly, it was at around PHP 1,300 (I'm not very sure, but it was over a thousand, that much was certain).

I was not ready to spend over a thousand to bring home cheesecake for my sisters so I ended up just ordering two frozen slices of blueberry cheesecake - with the topping already there. It can last the ride back to Manila and just freeze it again as soon as you get home.

I would really love to come back here to dine in because this place has a better view of the lake!!! It also seems like a fancier restaurant than the other Bag of Beans branches. So, yes, definitely coming back - with pictures next time!

Before heading back to Manila, we stopped by here for lunch. This is our first time in this branch of Bag of Beans and the place is pretty, really gives out a homey vibe too. They have a good view of Taal volcano too. There were a lot of people, but we were seated quickly. We ordered Vongole and Tuna Belly. Vongole was good, but their tuna belly was just ok, I liked the way they cooked their tuna better in another branch.

When in Tagaytay and you're spending it with great friends, you'll be into serious Food tripping 128566

As we reached the place,we went straight to Charito by Bag of Beans. The reviews we read while we're on our ways makes us so giddy and excited. Nice interiors, and awesome view of the lake. Servers are pleasant and attentive. All in all, i loved it right away... before were seated♥️

Right then and there, I had a quick choice of my order. I had Crispy bangus & Longganisa(P310) , served with 2 eggs, garlic rice and atchara on the side. And of course, I had bottomless Kapeng Barako served in a huge mug (P135). Nothing new with the meal, yet its satisfying and good. My coffee is so good that I was able to drink 3 mugs128563

All in all, Its a nice place to visit and dine when you visit Tagaytay. I really love the view and ambiance. Great place to chillax🤗

Charito by Bag of Beans has a very chill vibe. So chill that even their servers seemed very lethargic.128556

I'm not sure if there's a difference with Bag of Beans since the menu was exactly the same. Anyway, I just wanted the Blueberry Cheesecake. Divine, as expected. 128523

Charito has become one of my favorite places in tagaytay simply for its beautiful decor and ambience. So after our ugh
Dinner at balinsasayaw, we headed straight to charito to forget about that ghastly dinner.
Ordered their hot chocolate and since they had few dessert options, headed over to the bakery where I got a small box
Of their cinnamon rolls. They kindly heated it up for us as well. Hubby got their caramel coffee and it was pretty good as per
him. He paired it with their shepherds pie (ulam ulit?) 128522 great place to just have a chat and enjoy the cool breeze that we have now.

Poor customer service: very slow, inaccurate in getting orders, number of servers can't manage the place. Parking guard is efficient though. Food just the same menu as other Bag of Beans so just try other branches not this.

It's 5 o' clock in the morning when Team Jayson fetch me at Mckinley Hill for a food crawl in Tagaytay. Around 6 in the morning when we arrived at Charito by Bag of Beans (our first stop in Tagaytay)

"Wow!" That's the first word in my mouth when I saw the interior set-up of the restaurant. "Ang ganda sa mata! Ang linis!"

When I went to the veranda to see the view of Taal Volcano... it's another "Wow".

We've waited for a while for us to order our first meal of the day 'coz the kitchen will open at 6:30AM.

127859 Breakfast Sampler for Php480.00 (Two eggs, bacon strips, pork sausage, ham, hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes) - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

127859 Country Breakfast for Php380.00 (Two buttermilk pancakes, Two eggs, sausage and bacon) - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

127859 Beef Tapa for Php310.00 (Charito by Bag of Beans' version of TapSiLog) - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5

127859 Belgian Waffle for Php260.00 (Two layered Waffles topped with seasoned fruits and cream) - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

127859 Caramel Macchiato for Php130.00 - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

Among the dishes we had I really like the Beef Tapa 'coz the meat was so tender and flavorful. I'm so impressed with the pancakes too, it's milky and fluffy. Yum!

Our Bonifacio day adventure started at this beautiful place. Thank goodness this was our first stop, because we were able to watch the sunrise before finally feeding ourselves. We were also able to tour the restaurant and take photos without having difficulties.

My favorite part aside from the view of Taal? Their restroom and the function room beside it. I wasn't able to take pictures, but it seems that they designed their CR to make people want to eat in them lol! The function hall next to it is a perfect place to house any girl's sweet 16 party, with its pastel pink and blue theme.

This paradise opens at 6am, but they start the food preparations at 7am. Having arrived earlier, we ordered in advance and woke ourselves up with some of their drinks.

Their breakfast sampler is composed of two eggs, bacon strips, pork sausage, ham, hash brown and two buttermilk pancakes. The pancake is what I loved about this dish. It's fluffy and delicious, even without the aid of the syrup. But of course, adding syrup will made it better. The bacon was not too crispy, which I liked. Everything else was okay.

Their country breakfast is just their breakfast sampler without the ham and hash brown.

Two waffles sandwiching blueberries, topped with more fruits and whipped cream for a sweet sweet morning. The waffles were a firmer inside than desired. It didn't seem like waffles.

128046BEEF TAPA P310
Their beef tapa was also okay for me. I like my tapa either having a little more sour or salty taste. This had the flavors just right, but for it to be my kind of tapa, additional flavors must surface.

I loved the ambiance of the place. Service was okay. Pricing is a little higher compared to the quality of the food, but I can let it slide given the wonderful view and amount of serving.

Thank heavens for holidays, we could just have a splurge day at tagaytay. This is our first stop.

This place opens 6am BUT only serves drinks until 7am. Arriving here around 6:30, we ordered in advance. The servers were a little sleepy pa. The place is ever great. It has a lot of CRs. So our orders were served around 7:15am

128204 breakfast platter
This contains
- pancakes werent so fluffy but tastes okay
- slice of ham. It was just okay. Not oily
- hash brown looks like it was premade. Bagay na bagay sa tomato ketchup served
- sausage was smokey to taste
- pancake syrup is not maple syrup.

128204 belgian waffle
- the batter is denser and harder than the pancakes. Parang luma. The serving contains blueberry compote sandwiched by the waffles topped with whip cream, oranges, cherries and kiwis. The maple syrup made it more "edible"

128204128525 beef tapa
Wow. Although same ordinary BoB, this is sweet, and more tender. I love this one and is very recommendable.

Great company made experience here more likable, dine outside to catch the view of the taal.

This is a house converted to a laidback resto. Dined here at lunchtime and settled for my usual Bag of Bean's staples: roast beef and baby back ribs. Just another good place to dine in Tagaytay with a view and some good morsels.

It is our 2nd time here. The first one was only for dessert and coffee as we only chanced upon this place then. This time, we purposely planned to have breakfast here as we believe it has better view than Breakfast at Antonio's (which is a family favorite). We were excited.

Other than the view, the barako coffee, and its cozy ambience, there is nothing else I can rave about this place.

Service is poor. (I even overheard one waiter complaining that he's too tired as guests keep coming. Duh, it was just 9am and there were only 3-4 occupied tables.) There were sevetal staff on duty. Also, It took maybe 20 minutes before our food were served.

Food was just ok.

Here's a runthrough of what we ordered:
1. Country breakfast - Php380 : 2 huge pancakes, 2 strips bacon, sausage, 2 eggs. Good for 2 persons.

2. Beef tapa with garlic rice, 2 eggs, achara. Php310

3. Clubhouse sandwich. Smaller than what I expected. ( the veggies in the pic is from order #4 php320

4. Baby Back Ribs php495 (choice of rice or mashed potato(

5. None of the breakfast sets include coffee. So i ordered Barako php105.

Plus 10% service charge.

Will I come back again? Hmmm..
