Went here to actually work but then was absolutely blown away by its food and interior making my work time less and more on appreciating everything else inside.
I believe the service was something special. There were only a few people, but this is not fast-food. I'd be more lenient if they serve the food a little long just as long as the quality would be good.

Well, i went here for coffee and sweets only.
128204128525 grand marnier coffee @220PhP
So you know your orange liqueur, now mixed with coffee and super thick and creamy whip cream. The server will prepare it infront of you. He will first measure a cupful of grand marnier, the he will light it. Then eventually mix everything else in the brown sugar rimmed glass. And it absolutely tasted like irish coffee only bitter orangey taste at the end.

128204128525 Lemon Meringue Torte @320PhP
I absolutely loved this treat! The torte is made up of alternating crisp pastry and meringue! 2 layers of meringue then crisp pastry then another meringue then the final crisp pastry. The meringue tasted nothing like Freezer Burn's fill up meringue or conti's meringue. 128514 Chateau's meringue is soft and not so sweet. It really melts in your mouth. The crisp pastry offers a contrast to the meringue as it's like really thin otap layers with the light taste of a barquillo. Everything is enveloped by a lemon filling that's a little sharp. I'd really reco this to you!

Like i said. The ambience was just perfect for an English tea time--classical music, very good illumination, comfortable seats and high class service.

CR is clean (but i get a little stressed with the translucent glass for the toilet bowl dividers). they got fast wifi too!

PROTIP:
You like to work with perfect view? Try to sit at the corner near the door, right side when you enter-- there's an available power outlet. 128540

The coffee pie of the Chateau 1771 group (Sentro 1771, Cafe 1771, Flatiron) is the absolute best dessert ever in the universe. 128540 Okay, I've never been to Pluto, Mars and Venus, space travel and what not. But hyperbole aside, whether you order the original coffee pie (PhP230) or the pictured sugar free coffee pie (PhP193), you'll enjoy this just right sweetness melt-in-your-mouth coffee cream on top of this nougatine crust that's crunchy good and bursts with flavor in the mouth.

Free WiFi, perfect high end ambience, excellent dine in staff, though I only drank tea and ate coffee pie here in my most recent visit. I'd eaten here but it was maybe 3 years ago. The place, despite its couple of years in age, is very well maintained.

Chateau 1771, at a Glance:
> Food & Beverage: 4.5/5 (Peppermint Tea is good but not as fabulous as CBTL's Peppermint Ginseng brew)
> Service (Dine-In): 5/5
> Kitchen Service: 4/5
> Ambience: 5/5
> Value for Money: 4/5
OVERALL: 5/5
___________
Worth a try - Yes (it can be pricey for main dishes but you can chill here for coffee or tea plus that awesome Coffee Pie
Worth a return - Yes especially if you work on live in this area

> TIPS: COFFEE PIE, COFFEE PIE and, uhmmm, did I already say COFFEE PIE?

> VERDICT: awesome dessert, great service, fine dining that you can also enjoy as a perfect ambience coffee/tea shop.

Pork Organic Shoulder is fancy slop. And there's nothing special about their Beef short plate. Or perhaps I just ordered the wrong options. Both incidentally can be shared by 3-4 persons. The Valle verde soup was the only one that I enjoyed. Can't complain about the elegant service though, which was good and their takeouts are already in microwaveable containers. But overall, this is just one frilly joint that impresses one's date but not her belly.

Here's a tip. Consider ordering the business meals over those in the menu. Price is pratically the same but you get a full meal.

First off, super slow service 128554 Went here for a meeting and we ordered appetizer while waiting for the others. The appetizer didn't arrive. Not sure if they forgot about it but decided to cancel it because the main course arrived already - which is a different story altogether. It took roughly 30-45 mins for our main course to arrive. 128554 we are already done with our agenda! It was lunch time and there were only a few tables occupied, so I'm not sure why it took so long.

I ordered Gambasetti pasta. The shrimp was overcooked. (Was expecting a "crunchy fresh" shrimp.) The dish was so simple but they still weren't able to make it right. Not sure about the other entrees, they sure look good, but i dont know about the taste. Again, dessert saves the day, but it took another few minutes to be served. We got the pannacota and choco valrhona, and they were all good for me.

Interiors are nice and cozy, but dont think would be coming back here again. Food is mediocre and service is ridiculously slow for such a steep price. Also, they're still playing Christmas songs :)))

P1300 for around 5 bites of seabass! Not for the hungry! I finished this plus the one cup of rice that came with it, but I was still hungry after.

I ate half of my sister's lemon chicken order. Food was yummy, but serving size is small. Also love their desserts here! :)

Fancy stop? Yes...considering the ambiance, and menu selection. But I'll have to give 2 stars because the panna cotta, valrhona chocolate ganache tarte and triple chocolate mousse were too ordinary for the price. French Press wasn't timed right, and even the latte wasn't at all enjoyable.

I'll gladly spend on coffee and dessert elsewhere.

Will I give it a 2nd try for the main? Might take a long time.

Hello really yummy and perfectly silky panna cotta! 128525128525

We also actually consumed their Valrhona Chocolate Ganache Tart and that was equally as amazing.

Tried the place for dessert after we had lunch at Mr. Jones. The prices were actually very affordable even though the place looked high end complete with high ceilings!! 128525

Will definitely try their mains next time!! ;)

Their caesar salad is good, love the scallops au gratin-jumbo scallops with cheese and croutons (must try!), gambasetti (shrimp and chorizo) pasta was.. mmm.. Ok. Tried their beef fondue and I liked it! Pricing: above average.

My friend and I jokingly call it our "Executive" dessert meeting since most were in suits at that time and me in my jeans.

Lemon Meringue
I didnt know what to make of it at first because it looked like stacked up pancakes but the mixture of the lemon and cream quickly dismissed my confusion. One dessert you should definitely try!

Valrhona Choco Ganache
Pretty sad-looking next to the meringue but do not be deceived! The dark chocolatey flavor isnt bitter at all and Im sure choco lovers will enjoy this (baka bitin lang tho) because its just all chocolate!

Id like to try the mousse next!

Business lunch set @ P850 ++

Opted to have Grilled bream as my entree, the set comes with soup, salad ,entree and dessert.

Place was a little warm and service was slow...Staff tend to mingle in one corner .

Food was so so, presentation was good though
