It’s not easy to spot this new cafe in Ortigas. It is located inside Renaissance compound. Parking is available when lucky. You are sharing it with multiple towers inviting guests.

There is a downside on naming a cafe ‘Okay’. It is in my book a mediocre word, so it’s like downplaying your offering before you feed your customers. It also means just right or nothing great but not bad at all.

I say it was actually just okay. The ambiance does help give you a boost with its nice interior and well lit areas. There are hits and misses.

Tri Colore Fusili Salad was more of pasta than what its category says. Pesto was overwhelmingly present but it got drown with too much olive oil. The vegetables would have been better if they were crispy. Kesong Puti barely played a role.

Salted Egg Shrimp had a potential to be great but failed because its main ingredient wasn’t felt. I ordered it thinking it will be salty. The crust was a bjt chewy too.

Spicy Tinapa Angel Hair was ordinary. I did like the fresh pasta and chunks of sundried tomato for a sweet sour taste. The tinapa portions were too little which made it non sensible.

It’s winning ‘dish’ was not in their menu but rather in their bakery section. The Tablea Pie was too good. It was like having solid hot chocolate just twenty times better. It’s creamy chocolate with delicious crust. Must have!

While having lunch inside the office, one of my officemate told us about the Ok Cafe in renaissance, then after our lunch, we planned to go out to have our dessert and later on decided to try Ok Cafe!!!

I ordered white choclate mocha over iced -- Php119 128076🏻

They also have their cake for the day - which costs Php135.00 with a free Americano coffee - not bad 128076🏻

Soon we'll try their dishes!!!128076🏻

Coffee cravings on a Friday. I've been into this since last week. After lunch, we went to a "new", sort of new since its our first time. About 10 mins cab from our office (this includes the traffic). We visited Chef Laudico's Ok Cafe. This coffee shop is located inside Renaissance Condominium compound.

Place has white furnishings with yellow lights all over. They also serve pasta and rice meals. But for today, we are on a coffee mode.

I had a simple order. I ordered their cake of the day, which is Tablea tart. And this comes with a free mug of Americano (P135).

Verdict: the tablea cake tastes like dark chocolate. Its good and not sweet. However, I was quite disappointed with my coffee. Its watery and bland.

Second time going here and there have been some distinct changes. During our first visit the servers were more attentive. Second time its as if there was no gusto when it comes to serving the customers. Fam tried the Angus Kare Kare (P349.00), Spicy Tinapa (P209.00), Longa Streak (P169.00), Dulce Cake (P120.00), Queso de bola cheesecake (P120.00) and Hot White Chocolate (P119.00). Second time we ate we had the Angus Cornedbeef, Angus Binagoongan, and 3 cakes. Spicy Tinapa lacked flavor and Binagoongan somewhat lacked that bagoong taste and was a bit spicy. Personal favorites would be their version of Kare Kare and White Chocolate Cheesecake. Somewhat difficult to park if parking is full (unaccommodating attendants didn't help either). If you're craving for delectable desserts, food that is good for sharing and a quiet (no music) cafe then this is the place for you.128077🏻 it was also a pleasure meeting with Chefs Laudico (both husband and wife) during our first visit.
