Pugon Roast Chicken has a different smell but this one I find a little bland in taste. It's salty but lacks something else. Good thing the stir fry vege I ordered (although it didn't look stir fried because the vegetables were soaked in sauce or shall I say soup?) somehow added buttery flavor to my meal. I need dessert! 127847

*the chicken thigh-leg part was hairy and the flesh wasnt soft anymore. It seemed that the part I got was not newly roasted. 128078🏻128078🏻128078🏻

If I have to visit this restaurant again, I'll try the chicken isaw and the carabao milk sundae/halo halo sundae. I just don't want to try them now because they might add to my disappointments.

My officemates and I decided to pass by SM Light the other night before going home to have dinner first. My first suggestion was Teresita's since I love their caldereta but we saw the "Add P6 for unli-rice" signage on Chef Lau's Pugon. (The word "unli" is like a magnet you know.)

I ordered the Chicken Liver Surprise for P79 pesos plus P6 for unli rice.. P85 pesos lang baby! We were not yet seated when my order arrived. (Na-surprise ako don ang bilis! Hahaha!) It was obvious na pinainit lang ng mabilisan because it was not sizzling kahit nakalagay siya sa sizzling plate. But it tasted good! Salpicao-ish pero medyo oily lang. Naka-tatlong rice ako. Haha. The only thing I didn't like about the place was that some of tables were not clean.

Everything was really affordable and the place has a fast food-ish kind of vibe. I just hope they improve this branch and clean it up a little. 128522

I read here at looloo that their angus sisig was the best. So, I insisted that we eat here. I wish I hadn't. This branch served the most pathetic sisig yet!! We've asked that the sisig be without egg (cause of my allergies). When it got to our table, there wasn't any egg (thanks), BUT..MY GOODNESS!! The serving was too little. The sisig was spread out just so it looked like the sizzling plate was "full". The chopped onions on top was more of an extender. My sister also ordered the crispy isaw. She kept on telling me that their crispy isaw was always ordered at the BGC branch. It was served last. As in, we were almost done eating when it came out of the kitchen (wasn't even a full house!!). My sister had 1 bite of the "crispy" isaw. Her first reaction.. "ay, hindi crispy", she then again took another bite, and she went.. "ayaw ko na. Di ganito sa BGC. Di to crispy.. Blah!"
So disappointed with this branch. Such a shame it carries the name of Chef Laudico. No, not going back here. Sayang money.

It is a “FAST GOOD” restaurant that serves firebrick oven-roasted traditional Pinoy dishes like roast chicken, pork liempo, beef, and other great stuff at a very affordable price made special by one of the best chefs in the country. It’s Pinoy food with interesting twists!

We tried two of their bestsellers! First is the Angus Roast Beef, roasted in charcoal fire brick oven served with gravy and rice. It was tender and flavorful, plus the gravy blends well with the Roast Beef. Next is the Sizzling Pork Liempo Sisig. Because every time I see the word “SISIG” on the menu I just gotta have it. AND YESSS IT WAS GOOD ALSO. It’s tasty, and served with fresh egg. I think I had two cups of rice for this.

You can try Chef Lau’s at the following branches: Ayala Triangle Walkways, Venice Piazza & SM LIGHT Residences.

Had Pugon Chicken Roast for dinner and Sundae Halo Halo for dessert. the taste was great and halo halo was really good but what I just don't like with their halo halo was the Ice coz it's not as fine as I expected like in Razons.

Price range: P 100 - P 200

Very affordable. Boyfriend and I tried their signature dish: Pugon roast chicken for P 119 only per serving. They also serve cakes for desserts.

Tried their smokey chicken bbq.. It's actually big for a P99 (w/o drinks). The cashier actually suggest the big part which is a 128077.

First thing I told myself after taking a bite of their chicken is,

"Maluya!"

The taste of it really overpowers the chicken but it doesn't make it taste bad. It's actually good! It's my first time to try a chicken with this kind of flavor and spice. Serving's a bit small though compared with other places that serves chicken just like the one near this resto in Light Mall.
