Sorry for the bad photo. I was already mid-eating when I realized I had to share this. 128514 Their cheesy chicken bites was sooo good. I love it. It was also only for 89 Php! 128513 It wasn't nakakaumay compared to other cheesexmeat meals. It even tasted better with their garlic mayo sauce (you can also choose other flavors of sauce and add for just 5 Php). It doesn't have drinks but just add 20 Php for regular or 25 Php for large softdrinks. They also have unli rice option which was probably for only around 6 Php (at least that was my boyfriend told me). They also have crispy isaw (which I didn't eat) for less than 30 Php. It was a lot. It's a budget friendly place with yummy food! Too bad it's quite far crom where I usually am. Hoping for more branches in the north. 128513

First time to visit Pugon at Sun Mall this year. #maymasabi

Dropped by to have a quick dinner because... I'm too lazy to cook! I wanted to try something new so I got their Pork Liempo Roast priced at 159 pesos. It came with a cup of plain rice, atsara, and their mushroom gravy. Overall, I liked this dish. 128523

Again, I have to commend Pugon for their affordable quality Filipino food. Never disappointed by the food! Two slabs of liempo fried to make the skin chicharon-crispy while the meat was very tender (only a little crisp from the frying) to contrast the very crunchy skin. How did they do that? 128079🏻 It was a filling meal! A bit oily because fried... made me confused why it has a "roast" on its name when it's closer to a bagnet.

Next thing to try...their new Pinoy BBQ wings!

I always pass by Sun Mall on my way home from my up North workplaces so one day I decided to step in and find something to eat for early dinner. I remembered Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters so headed straight there.

Interiors are nothing noteworthy, fast food-ish. The restaurant offers certain food catered to the Filipino palate but with certain twists including the Kaldereta Mac, sisig, etc. High quality food at fast food prices as these were in the 100-200+ peso range. I decided on their Angus beef belly and a slice of their queso de bola cheesecake. The Angus beef belly was served with sauce on a sizzling plate and a cup of rice plus a bit of atchara. This was really good! Decent amount of tender, flavorful meat, perfect with rice! The queso de bola cheesecake was also good. It had the right blend of flavors making it not too sweet and not too salty, but just right.

Overall, enjoyed my early dinner at this restaurant and would love to come back and try their other affordable but yummy offerings.

Last review I'll write before I go back to making my lecture for this week. Professor mode on Wednesday (yuck). 🤓🤓🤓 too many back logs of places I've visited late October to present. I promise I'll do them after the lec, | looloo! 128514

Since stressed Roy means (always) hungry Roy, I always crave for food both to feed my hunger and as an escape mechanism from my responsibility of doing a lot of research and doing my lec outline, Sun Mall and Pugon Roasters, as well as other fast food chains in the area, are my most accessible spontaneous eat places.

This visit, I tried Pugon's Angus Tapa because I got curious for it not being on their menu but on their Weekly Specials board. It was surprisingly good. That was one good and tasty angus beef. I'm sure it's quality beef right there. Not too chewy and their marinade is good. Around 5 slices were enough to satisfy my hunger, paired with their garlic rice (i like garliiic) topped with a sunny side up egg and some atsara on the sides. 4.5 stars for this! It cost me around 120 bucks for this meal. Super sulit for the quality 128077🏻

Also tried their Blueberry cheesecake and it was also good. A hundred bucks each slice and i think it was good for the price. Good presentation, happy that they spend time to make some kind of art on the plate. I heard Chef Jack/Jacky (Chef Lau's wife) bakes them. I just noted that the cheesecake part is a bit dominated by the upper creamy custardy part. Then covered by blueberry syrup. Some would sure be questioning the cheesecake - creamy custard (idk how to describe it) part ratio, but it was okay with me. 128514 look at the photo 9757🏻️

Pugon Roasters is really a good fast food-ish resto. Quality has been well maintained and I can say they serve afforable but not cheap-tasting Filipino food. 128077🏻 happy that they're just a few steps from our condo.

Another brilliant masterpiece of Chef Laudico.

My daughter Adelheid L had her USTET entrance exam and hubby and I need to wait for six hours so we left her then we look for a new foodtrip.

We end up at the new SUN mall at Welcome Rotonda. It's near UST so we decided to explore since it was our first time. We went here because I saw that there is Chef Lau Pugon Roasters here.

My mom Elaine P and my auntie always eat at their Ayala Triangle branch. Mom has a lot of food stories about this and she always tell me about this " Kalderetang Mac" and I got curious!

It is located near the supermarket ground floor. It is an affordable version of Chef Lau group of restaurants. I immediately look for the Kalderetang Mac and there is only one left then I got Lecheflan .Kalderetang Mac cost 89 pesos only. Baked macaroni in cheesy meaty kadereta sauce , what a unique kind of pasta, tasted really good! Highly recommended . Hubby got their pancit habhab and chicken sinampalukan sopas for a very affordable price too!

Bringing modern Pinoy high quality food for Fast food! FAST GOOD!128077127860

A must try creation of Chef Lau and service was good in a very affordable price

No picture because I left my phone charging at the condo. 128514

Ordered their Angus Beef sisig this time and I liked it! Tender and chunky beef on a sizzling plate with really yummy sisig sauce! It comes with a cup of rice and priced at around 150 bucks.

I can't find a reason not to like this place. They serve food with quality in a very reasonable price. Another plus point for it being near our condo and also their fast WiFi connection.

My regular orders are their Pancit Lucban, Angus Beef, Sisig, and Croquetas. This time I tried their Roast Chicken. For just a little less than 100, it was definitely sulit. The chicken was juicy and tender with that very yummy 'inihaw' flavor. It's quite obvious that their marinate was well done. 128512

I always said I will try their cakes. Until now, di pa rin. Again, soon!!! 128077🏻 We were usually really full after our meals kasi. 128514

Our automatic go-to restaurant when were hungry! 5 minutes walk from our condo, yey.

This is their Pancit Lucban. For just around 70-80 pesos, you get this sulit and yummy merienda meal (which I usually have as my dinner). Serving time is quite fast and the food tasted good for its price. They also have WiFi connection. I want to try their cheesecakes soon (when my diet's been lifted) 128540

Dental clinic that we were ought to visit was close yet so checking what's inside the hypermarket. We tried this and not really happy with our lunch.
We ordered pork liempo sisig which we found so meh... We thought it would be crunchy but so more for expectation. Their pugon roasted chicken was sweet maybe because of the bbq sauce. Well, this place aimed to please the panlasang pinoy so not too bad after all. In fairness, a lot of people eats here.

Lastly, I tried their white chocolate cheesecake. It was good actually. Not too sweet and maybe more ok if they just made this place as coffee shop. Think more people were after the desserts. Wasn't able to check if they have coffee or tea.

I disliked the place and location of the resto... It was small. So after NCAE we went straight here because we were famished and because we planned it. I was excited kasi nasa bucket list ko siya, the flyer just caught my eye!

So we ordered Kaldereta Mac- bland, angus roast beef- was ok, chicken sisig- bitterish (may parts talaga swear) and the chicken croquettas- tasted like chicken pastel with dry chicken cubes, breaded and deep fried. Notice that I did not mentioned the cake... Sinadya ko hahaha kasi next paragraph :)

Should've been 2 stars but the cake made it 4. It was actually a cheesecake, a white chocolate cheesecake! Smooth and creamy and tasted like the white toblerone! At di siya nakakaumay! As in tamang tama lang yung lasa and it was relatively cheap (P138). This was the tastiest and yummiest cheesecake I ever tasted! 128077128077 they have more cakes in display there and would probably try them too :)

I usually eat here since it's so near to me. They have really weird food choices (or it's just me). They have sinampalukang sopas, kaldereta mac, different kinds of sisig, pugon roasts (of course), and many more. I really love their cheesy chicken croquettas and cheesecakes! They are really gooooooood. Plus affordable! Try it! :D

Chicken croquettas. Kind of underestimated this place considering the ambience.. But they say never judge a book by its cover.

89 pesos for a single order. Comes with rice and a choice of either garlic mayo or barbecue sauce. Was I surprised with the serving size? Definitely! I wasnt able to finish my order since the balls were full of chicken and cheese goodness. The garlic mayo on the side was definitely the cherry on top!

Wouldnt mind eating this meal again! Must tryy!

After a long day at school, I decided to drop by this place to have some of their crispy chicken croquettas aka cheesy chicken chunks in ball form. Lol. For PHP 90, I didn't think it was bad 'cause those were some big balls of cheesy chicken! Hahaha!

I didn't want to eat at the restaurant so I had mine to go and I twitched my eye when the lady said "ay ma'am additional X pesos po for the box at plastic".... Why. Are. You. Charging. Me. For. That. 128563 I don't get it this is the first time I've experienced such.

Anyway the chicken was meh at first but it eventually got better. I didn't get to finish it though. Something was a bit off with the flavor of the chicken.
