Besides Rufo's at Venice Piazza, the poster from Chef's Lau Pugon Roster catch my attention offering Fried Siopao Sisig and I got one because I am too curious of what will be taste of Siopao with Sisig filling. It was okay for me maybe it will be more okay if the sauce for Fried Siopao will be a condensed milk.

Ito na siguro ang isa sa masarap na natikman kong Roast Chicken na worth 99 pesos lang. Alam mo yung lasang putok na babalik balikan mo? Sorry for the word pero parang may ganun talaga sa lasa. Hahaha! Pero infer, masarap! Yung liempo sisig nila, puro taba. Siguro pag naubos namin yun, na-stroke na kami pagkatapos. 128512

Salty salty salty food!!! 128529

For a quick dinner, we tried the Pugon Chicken (99 w rice), Chicken Sisig (99 w rice), and an order of the Adobo Vegetable. The chicken was dry and bland. I'd rather eat at Mang Inasal than here. 128566 The adobo vegetable was weird. Cabbage, Sayote, and Beans with soy sauce. Weird because I think this was the first time I've seen and tried something like this. I was expecting something like adobong kangkong or sitaw. The veggies with the salty "adobo sauce" just doesn't taste right. 128563 And the chicken sisig was salty and oily. Different parts of chicken (chicken meat, intestine, and skin) with egg. We just had a taste and did not even dare finish at least half of it. Sayang. 128563128563128563128563128563128563128563

Also, I was looking for the cheesecake in the menu but can't find one. 128546

Tried their best seller chicken sisig.

A little oily tho and it's not pure chicken. But the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert is wow! 128077128077128077

Ladies and gentlemen, here's what raised my taste for chicken dishes--Chef Lau Pugon Roasters' bestseller--their own version of grilled chicken. It's so savory that you can taste the flavor up to the bones. I love how crispy the balat still tastes, but the flesh is oh so soft. It also comes with a super yummy sauce I love! It suits my taste--the right combination of sou sauce and vinegar. Gives you the Filipino taste. As for the chicken, it does not taste pure Pinoy as i can taste a Middle east vibe but it's good! You should taste it for yourself, this meal is a good 99 pesos!

Lo and behold, i present to you, Chef Lau Pugon Roasters' best cheesecake yet to date--their Mango Cheesecake! I kid you not when i say it is the best, because this sweet treat is not only sweet, it also has this tangy flavor we all loved from the fruit itself. This dessert sells for 150 to 180 I think? The bf and I agreed to taste all the cheesecake Chef Lau's Pugon roasters have to offer, but this is really the best out of a few cakes we have tried.

Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters claim to be a "Fast Good" restaurant that serves firebrick oven-roasted traditional Filipino dishes like roast chicken, pork, liempo, beef and other great food that's not very pricey at all! In fact, this gourmet Blueberry cheesecake that the girlfriend and I ordered is for only 150 pesos and it tastes so good! Just by the picture, and by thinking of how it tastes makes me drool already. The girlfriend and I both agreed to try all their cheesecakes and so shall we. Will post the next ones here!

Super loved their Blueberry cheesecake!!! Tastes so good for only 150 pesos. The bf and I agreed on trying out all their cheesecakes one day at a time. So far, 3 out of everything! Lol.

Utterly disappointing. I get that this restaurant is a cheap version of his more upscale establishments. It fails in quality. I had the roast beef that was supposedly the best thing on the menu. It was tough, chewy and the gravy was either too sweet or had too much pepper. The other thing we ordered was the cheese croquettes, which was even worse. Basically a canned chicken gravy stock with a little vegetables deep fried. The sauce was gross. Never coming back here again.

Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food being served by Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters. We had the Pugon Chicken BBQ and the Beef Caldereta Mac. Considering I'm not such a huge fan of Chicken BBQ (I prefer pork BBQ), this one was tasty, juicy and grilled just right. The Beef Caldereta Mac was OK. It was a good twist to the usual baked Mac and caldereta dishes since it was a mix of lots of cheese and mashed potatoes together with the beef. Next time though I will probably stick to the grilled/Pugon specialties. It is better than Mang Inasal and Chicboy. Just as cheap but with more variety and bigger servings. It is definitely my new favorite chicken fast food. I left wanting to eat more chicken but being too full to order another plate. :) Looking forward to trying their other dishes as well as their desserts and carabaw soft serve ice cream.

Food was ok I'd rate it 6 if 10 is highest. First time we went there,I found a hair sa platter ng beef na inorder ko and another hair sa cake. Di na kami nagreklamo we just informed the staff about it. Was with my office mates and they all saw it. Sana wag na maulit....

After my 3rd visit to Pugon Roasters, I can justify the price range and quality of the food here. 128541 Affordable meals of not too ordinary dishes, in my opinion. 128523

My first was the Angus Pork with 3 pieces almost worth P200, a no-no for me. The term might be deceiving but it was just average for me, plus the meat was not tender enough. A bit disappointed actually.

A comeback when I tried their Cheesy Chicken Croquettes - with 5 pcs of croquettes and rice for less than P100 - a WIN! Their Kaldereta Macaroni tasted not much of caldereta but more on the mac n' cheese. 128517

Their carabao milk's ice cream for P39 was unique. Unlike the usual vanilla sundae you'd get from Mcdo, this one had the flavor of carabao's milk.

Definitely with a Pinoy twist to every meal they serve. And for Chef Lau, he made it to the market of Filipino public, good job! 128077

Another grilled chicken joint? Well...it is but the flavor is not just the usual inasal or chicken BBQ. Cooked just right and the flavor is so balanced. You can taste the individual ingredients. Priced just right. Worth going back and try more of their food.

Ordered their Pancit Lukban because my friend said it was really good. I love pancit so I just had to try it.

Taking a break from my clean eating so I went a little cray and ordered Potato Wedges also (can't remember what it is really called) but I just randomly spot it on the menu. Nasa side dishes sya so I thought onti lang kung half so I ordered it in full.

Sobrang sulit nung Potato Wedges for 29 pesos. Full na yun. It had gravy and sobrang dami na nya. I'm not even kidding. I was surprised na ganon kadami. Haha. The Pancit also was sulit for 69 pesos ang dami nya din. I wasn't able to finish it. The suka goes so well with the pancit btw 10084

They charge 5 pesos extra for take out maybe for the microwaveable lalagyan and the paperbag also?

Very affordable meals. Big servings. Tasty and healthy. Branch in Venice Piazza is a bit small though. Attached photo in this review is the smokey chicken barbecue worth P99. They also have cheesecakes comparable to that of Bannapple's.

Bought their pugon roasted chicken for take out on a sunny day and I was excited to sink my teeth to the juicy chicken. The chicken camr with rice and atsara and their special pinakurat vinegar.
Taste: the chicken taste good you can taste their marinade which is heavy on the ginger and lemongrass. It's juicy and soft a diff version compared to bacolod chicken or JT inasal. All in all it's ok for me not that mindblowing that you will dream of it. I'll be back soon.
