Ambiance and food, okay. Value for money, okay. Staff service is okay. Everything is just okay.

You don't have as many options compared to other buffet style restaurants. Got 6-7 dishes and couple of sweets in the counter. I did not like the presentation of their serving; even the taste of their dishes is bland.

We tried the P299 lunch buffet here and for the first time I never had to take pictures because there was really nothing to promote about this lunch. There was salad, fried chicken, bagnet, saute bean sprouts, grilled squid, mussels (unsure how it was cooked I didnt taste it), another version of squid with sauce, noodles with squid toppings and rice. Sorry to say that I was disappointed and felt bad I had to pay 299 for that. I could've eaten in foodcourt and be okay with what I ate. I do not recommend this because of course for a buffet this is pretty cheap 128524 but you will not be satisfied. The chicken seems to be fried 5 days ago, it was dry, the skin was yellowish 128560 the vegetable salad the lettuce is not fresh and the cucumbers were cut few days ago and you know they just came out from the refrigerator. The bagnet i can say is okay but the rest are not. So if you are willing to pay php299 then go for a good bowl of ramen, or a regular pasta at Amici and you will definitely feel that its worth it. Sorry but I will not come back for this 128542

We are here for Sunday lunch, arriving a bit early, so there were few customers. For a buffet, the selection is a bit limited, but for P299 per head, it's pretty good for a simple family lunch.

Among the stuff I tasted were the fried chicken, lechon bagnet, sisig, and sinigang, and inihaw na pusit. The sisig was slightly on the salty side but still good, and the bagnet was among the better ones I've had. Everything was good.

They also have big tables outside, so it's good for larger groups.

For a simple meal, you won't go wrong here.

Salted Caramel Beer - My new favorite. I'm not a fan of beer. I'd rather take hard liquor than to take beer, but this time, I chose their Salted Caramel Beer. It was sweet and was really good. I actually forgot that I was drinking a beer. You can actually drink this without any "pulutan". I suggest you order their 1 liter instead of having the 500ml or glass because for sure, you'll ask for more. 127866127866127866

Wanted pasta so I thought I should try this place out. I couldn't make up my mind so I asked for their best seller and was told that they have two for their pasta dishes. I think this was called spaghetti classico? Taste was okay though I found the tomato sauce a bit too sour for my liking, but very generous serving and my ordered arrive within 10minutes. A little surprised to see that they have a wide array of beer and wine so I ordered cerveza negra and I was shocked and flattered that they didn't ask me for an ID 128541 (I'm 21- I just look young haha) Servers were friendly and accomodating, one even set up an electric fan when I went outside to drink my beer. The whole vibe of the place was nice, especially loved that tables were set outside too near the "river", seriously the perfect place to just think and drink your cold beer 128512

For dinner, we decided to go and eat at Festival Mall. We decided to try chef's barrel because... random pick haha

Ordered fish and chips and all meat pizza.

Fish and chips was not your usual cream dory. They used mahi? which tastes fresh and good though the breading was weird. Sauce was goooood!!

Pizza was okay. Sweet, cheesy but not meaty (given that it's an all meat pizza 128527)

Service was good (and weird). Good because service was fast and waiters were all nice and accommodating. Weird because they're all too friendly in a very weird way...........

And oh, they have a live band 128077

We ordered mushroom omelette with cheese, spicy potato wedges and bacon and eggs and rice. The food was great especially the crispy bacon and the potato wedges. I also liked the service as the waiter keeps on refilling our water without being asked. There's also a band playing nice music which compliments to the romantic vibe of the place.

We dined out for our 38th months together and as we go, I left my phone at the table. I got scared when I saw someone running towards us but when I saw my phone, I felt relieved and thankful. That was such a good act. Special thanks to Mark! Kudos to Chef's Barrel management for fostering such honest environment for your staff. :)
