The best thai/malaysian resto that I've ever had. This is definitely one of the best in baguio. It looks like a simple carinderia in the outside, might be the reason why it's also affordable.

Tried the papaya salad which is the best dish so far, Nasi Goreng, Pata, and Laksa with huge prawns (forgot to take picture). Everything was delish! The picture may not look appetizing since they don't have good lighting but it doesn't matter. Highly recommended!

A religious sister recommended this place to us. It was a seeming hole-in-a-wall yet don't knock it...

Chef Alvin was around and would make personal recommendations on what he thinks we'll enjoy. It was a choice between crispy or fresh papaya salad and he recommended the crispy one. This was a winner! That's the first picture on the left.

We also ordered Nasi Goreng which was also very good. This you can eat even without any viand at all.

Last, we ordered the Phad Thai which was excellent!

Presentation was great! Serving size by the way is generous. The salad would have been enough for the three of us but we made the mistake of thinking small so we ordered too much. Food coma!!!! Prices were also very reasonable.

Definitely going back and recommending this to friends!

When you are in Baguio this is a place you must visit if you want to experience great food. Although going in here you should have a vehicle for your group, or a taxi that is willing to wait for you or you can text to pick you up, unless you don't mind riding a public jeep on the waiting shed nearby.

The place is small, maybe can seat not more than 30 persons, but you can call them for reservation. Food is a fusion of SE Asian dish. We had Salad with crispy Grouper Fish skin (this was my favorite), vinaigrette is more on the acidic side, top with greens, tomato, red onion and cucumber. For main course we had: coffelicious pork, crispy pork glazed with sweet-bitter syrup strong coffee tasting sprinkled with sesame seed (recommended for coffee lovers). Tomyum Salmon Belly, spicy soup with generous amount of Salmon Belly strips, imaging sinigang soup but spicy (you can request for additional chillies if you want it to be more spicy.) Nasigoreng Rice, this is good on its own, topped beef strips (looks like beef to me) salty in nature, but not too salty. Beef Rendang, their beef is like pulled pork style, not a chunky one, not too spicy, and the strong smell of different spices makes it even more delicious. For dessert we had, Roti with vanilla ice cream, peaches, banana, coffee syrup (same one on the pork we had, but it's only our guess that they're the same) topped with cherry. I recommend you to have it too, crispiness of the roti, sweetness of banana and peaches and the syrup, smooth texture of vanilla ice cream made this one a perfect way to end your meal.

This maybe one of the greatest restaurant you'll experience in Baguio, as you will see a Trip Advisor certificate on their wall, hopefully a Looloo sticker will soon be there on their door.

Chef's Home is one of a few places wherein homes have been renovated into restaurants; e.g., My Kitchen by Chef Cris, Cafe Yagam, Gossip Cafe, Bowls & Sticks, and a few others. They specialize in SE Asian cuisine, headed by a chef who had studied the SE Asian culinary arts in Malaysia. So when speaking of authenticity, there is no doubt in mind that this is the real deal.

What was ordered this afternoon were the Boneless Chicken with 3 Flavored Sauce (₱280), Squid with Salted Egg (₱280), Thai Fried Rice (₱110 pax), and Malaysian Milk Tea (₱90). Each main dish is good for 2-3 persons.

The Boneless Chicken was a decent tasting dish. The chicken was tender, not overly cooked, and you can taste the freshness of the oil used to deep fry the chicken. Not to take anything away from it, but when they advertised "3 flavored sauce", I wasn't expecting sweet & sour sauce with red chili, which neither had a bite nor the taste of the pepper. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this dish.

The Squid with Salted Egg was nothing short of outstanding. Perfectly cooked squid with flavors of onions, garlic, cilantro (wansuy/coriander), green onions, and salted egg that screams flavors and textures.

Their Thai Fried Rice was über good. In each bite, you can see and taste the flavors of squid, fresh tomatoes, onions and other goodness they added in the rice. Undersalted, it balances real well with the Squid with Salted Egg.

And the piece de résistance, was their Malaysian Milk Tea. Perfectly sweetened, creamy, it made a perfect finish to the meal, and also made it a good refreshment drink for the hot weather we had today in Baguio.

The only disappointment I had was that some of the dishes, like curry dishes and beef dishes weren't available. But that's a small setback. I can always come back, because overall, the dishes I had were delicious, and the service was wonderful. The servers were very knowledgeable about the food being served when asked.

Chef's Home is located on the outskirts of town. So whenever you want to eat somewhere quiet, and fiend for a good dose of SE Asian food, this place will definitely make you overdose with pleasure.

BEST THAI FOOD I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I SH*T YOU NOT.

My friends and I went to Baguio from La Union. We stayed with a friend so we had someone to take us around. We did what we do and enjoy best -- food trip! 127860 I want to review all the restaurants that we've dined in and I'll start with this one because it's the best I've had in a looooong time!

Chef's home is owned by a chef from Malaysia (forgot his name) who studied culinary in Thailand. I think he has perfected the asian cuisine because I just couldn't find the words to best describe his dishes.

We ordered the crispy papaya salad, nasi goreng, beef rendang, beef murtabak, squid curry egg sauce and roti with peaches and ice cream. OMG! OMG! OMG! A bite from any of the dishes I mentioned was an explosion of flavors in the mouth! And they mix so perfectly that I was in the brink of tears after. It's THAT heavenly and I KID YOU NOT! Good food makes me so happy and this one just raised the bar.

They weren't named as one of Esquire's best restaurants last year for nothing.

Definitely worth every cent. 128523

And oh btw, he's opening a branch in Fisher Mall in August. Let's see each other there, maybe? 128522

Papaya salad is the best! We even ordered again! 128077128077128077128077

Highly recommend to reserve in advance since the place is small and it gets pack easily. Don't come in hungry as the waiting time for food is around 45mins.

Just had our lunch here. As people from Malaysia say: "Sedap!" Very tasty Malaysian & Thai food. We had the papaya salad, beef salad, black pepper squid, stir fried okra & stir-fried garlic prawns. Oh, and Tom Yum & Nasi Goreng too. 128523 One bite of the Nasi Goreng and I was back in KL again. Guess it helps that the chef is Malaysian although he wasn't there today. Would love to come back here with Tonypet S soon. To anyone who's lived in Malaysia, this is it, pansit! (although sana may char kuey teow) Authentic Malaysian/Thai food in Baguio. Perfect for the cold weather.

We went here as a big group to have our lunch and we were super hungry so everything we ordered tasted good and authentic. Authentic because I think the chef is a legit Malaysian. They also have Teh Tarik here and for a milk tea lover like me, theirs was really superb. Bitin nga lang since liit ng baso. Lol 128516

The only downside that we didn't like during our visit was they only accept cash as payment and they didn't warn us. I don't know if it's always like that but to let us know beforehand or at least post a note somewhere could really be a good warning since we almost occupied the whole place.

Really good food though! Enough to make it up for the shocking bill and sablay payment option. Lol 128516

PS: This is a very late post. Not sure if they moved somewhere.

Serving asian cuisine like thai and malaysian food. Taste are authentic since chef Alvin is a Malaysian but worked at different bangkok hotels and in Sofitel-spiral. Food is really good especially his version of rotti. A bit pricey but all of his ingredients are fresh. Place is small so better call first. Accepts cash only. Should put it in your bucket list when you visit the city of Pines.

Food is great! Try the crispy papaya salad, beef rendang & for their freah seafoods ask the chef/owner how he would cook it. We had sea bass cooked 3 ways and it was superb.
They are now located at outlook drive beside baguio town house. Approx 500 meters after the mansion.

I wonder why they decided to close this place. In my last baguio trip, this was the best place I've eaten at. It's just sad to hear about this. I hope they just transferred to a much better location.

Recognized by Esquire magazine as one of best new restos in 2013, this place offers authentic Thai and Malaysian cuisine. Try their crsipy papaya salad and you'll know what I mean. It has the sweet, sour, salty, spicy flavor which awakens your taste buds. And oh, with lots of cilantros!

They could do better with their interiors, particularly their restroom.

Had tons of food. Everything was good. Specially the beef rendang, papaya salad, and some chicken dishes we ordered. We just got the recommendations from the servers. Only downside is...no beer and their food would be perfect with a cold bottle!
