Very dim place = dim photos 128521

No I haven't tried the Tessie Tomas salad. Boo myself.

Dave N and I were on a heavy meal mood so our table has the roll it yourself pizza, fish and chips and pasta.

We enjoyed our food but I gave up in the middle of eating coz I was so full! Surprisingly, Dave N backed out too.

We ended up taking out our orders and delighted to see that it was packed in microwave plastic containers. Cool!

The last time I passed by Atrium, Chef's Quarters wasn't there anymore and was replaced by Uncle Cheffy (sister companies)! Ohlala!

Spent Mother's day Lunch here! Their P495 buffet (including drink) was excellent. We were supposed to go to Dad's/Kamayan but it was total chaos.

So anyway, what I liked about their buffet is they didn't prepare it in a mass production
kind of way. It was quality over quantity. Sure there were only 8 dishes to choose from, but boy they were all so well executed. Especially their roast beef. Very tender and it goes perfectly with their gravy sauce. They even had a cute little chocolate fondue and some marshmallows and fruits to make "tusok-tusok" 128556

The servers were all friendly and attentive despite the fact that they were constantly occupied by hordes of "nanay's with baranggays" flooding through their doors looking for an available table.

Seriously, I have never seen rows restaurants THAT busy before. Not even during Christmas or Valentines. Kudos to this place for being able to deliver terrific food and service while being bombarded by "kulit" customers. 128516128077

Sunday lunches in Megamall? Goodluck in finding a good place to dine *sarcasm intended* 128521 Good thing we noticed Chef's Quarter 128516

They have a Buffet option and of course, my hungry self caved in. I was in a great mood to pig-out!

But then.. I was disappointed with their food selection (P600 for a buffet with choices that limited oh no) But I signed up for the buffet because of the oysters.... Hahahaha. (Man, I was craving for weeks!) I think I got 20 baked oysters all for myself?? Now that's worth it. So the buffet's fine with me. Saved by the baked oysters! :)

But if you're no oyster person like me, I strongly discourage having a buffet here. The desserts aren't even close to okay. 128532 And most if the dishes are bland. Maybe I should've just ordered separate meals from the menu instead of trying out their buffet. Oh well, lesson learned.

Chef's Quarter....

Hmmmm..

After a fun, tiring, long day at manila ocean park... We decided to eat at MegaMall.

Place: restaurant, nothing that can make you wow. Or i didn't care because I was... SOOO HUNGRY. 128565

Service: they say water is the universal solvent. In chef's quarter water is infinite. It keeps on coming that you don't have to ask for it. Their waiters/waitress will monitor each glass in the table and Automatically refill it to your hearts content. That's what I call service. They know what the customer needs.. WATER. Specially ME. (I keep on swallowing food like 100 kg/sec. )Haha! I told you.. you don't like me when I'm hungry. 128520

Food: Tada! What we ordered was seafood paella, fettucini pasta, roasted chicken, lechong kawali with honey glazed potatoes, and the pizzanini!!! Every bite of everything i mentioned above was like explosion of flavors in my mouth.. It feels like I woke up in a very deep slumber for 700 years. It feels like I did something awesome and a crowd of a baseball arena is applauding on my presence.

In short, I like the food. :)) its simple. But the fact that I am so hungry + good service = you can really appreciate the food beyond your imagination. Haha! I may sound like over reacting here but i believe even in my normal state I would still rate the same. 128527

Treated my mom and bro in this place. Tried 3 dishes: cream dory pasta, beef salpicao fried rice, and beef peppersteak. All were very good and reasonably priced. I'd say this is one of the restaurants that we really enjoyed what we ordered. Will definitely comeback.

Tried this place out the other day. We had the Tessie Tomas salad which was greens with grilled shitake mushrooms, roasted prawns, salmon in creamy balsamic sauce! For the mains, we had the roast beef & pork tenderloin which were ok. Both dishes were tender. Servers were attentive & alert128077

Because we found a good reason to celebrate today, hubby and I decided to have lunch at Chef's Quarter. Last time we were here was back when we were in college and one meal in a good restaurant would have cost us one week's allowance. Ever since then we've always thought of this place as very expensive. But considering today's bill and the quality of food we were served, I'd say this was an experience worth its weight in every peso.

Our lunch consisted of beef pot roast and beef salpicao rice. The rice was a meal in itself, very tasty with enough beef salpicao bits to pass off as ulam. It was topped with roast basil strips and chopped Chinese celery (kintsay). Our official ulam was beef pot roast which was super tender and oozing with umami. It was served with mashed potato and crisp buttered veggies. The pot roast could have been one of the best beef dishes I've ever had.

Upon entering the restaurant, we had a brief moment of indecision when we found out that they have a lunch/dinner buffet at Php555 /head. The food selection of the buffet was quite inviting, with roast beef, angus beef roast, baked oysters and salmon carpaccio, to name a few dishes. Since we were not in the mood to stuff our faces, we decided to try the buffet next time.

The restaurant itself has a cozy ambience, and the servers were polite and accommodating. I noted that they have a function area that could seat about 20 persons. All in all, I'd say we had a great dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Here's my review with Chef's Quarter (Sister company of Uncle Cheffy) But first of, I want to thank Jacy L. of LooLoo team for deleting my previous entry of this one because I accidentaly tap the submit button. Hahaha! Thank you Jacy! She also told me that they have plans of putting an edit button to our entry whenever we want to change something. yey! Then funny part when I check my previous entry, it says "Hastalavista it's gone" something like that and then tadaaah! It's gone! Hahaha!! Coolness overload. 128526

• PLACE
- Very warm and cozy setting. Old American designs all over. Wooden interior makes it posh! The staffs we're courteous and attentive too!

• PRICE
- The price is reasonable for their food. Huge serving also so it's quite a good deal already.

• FOOD we've ordered
- Paella - I'm not a Paella eater but when I tasted it, it's very nice. The flavor of the rice sinks in and it is generouly topped with seafoods.
- Carbonara - The sauce is creamy and the pasta is Al Dente just the way I like it.
- Panizza - They are popular for their oven bricked cooked panizza. I'm just not sure what we've ordered back then but it's really great!
- New England Pot Roastbeef (served with mashed potato and veggies) *in the photo*- Actually everything is fantastic dish but this is the one that stood out for me. The beef is really a "melt in your mouth experience". Very tender and juicy. Damn! It's just soooo great!

If you're looking for a fine dinning experience that will not sacrifice your budget, this is the place to be. I'm telling you. You'll not regret here. 128521

Their Panizza is the best of it's kind, for me its now ahead of Dear Darla.
We tried the Putanesca and it's okay though at that time it's kind of salty.
