So one of those midnight food trip break from the office. We decided to head here and have some tbone steak. For only 75bucks, you get unlimited soup, huge sizzling tbone steak and plain rice. One of those cheap thrills we get excited about. Haven't tried any of the other dishes but tapa and sisig looks good. I spied on the next table that it had huge servings too. Prices here are very affordable, everything ranges from 55-75 i think. Less than a hundred for a meal with soda, not bad. The place is ghetto, so don't expect too much. They have an indoor setting which is usually full. For this trip, we were seated outdoors - tables were on the side street. There could be flying insects somewhere but its one of those ghetto-grub-worthy place where you can have a cheap, yunmy meal.

I used to pass by this place whenever I'm going home from my friend's unit in Libertad. Last night, i decided to give this a try and I'm curious if they're offering something unique from other places around.

I got a Sizzling T-bone steak for less than a hundred bucks. And I'm surprised that my order was served in 5 minutes-time. Impressive! But, the t-bone was a bit tough. Hmm? And, I suddenly recalled Lea A's review about this place, which is to "not expect for tender & fall off the bone meat", but it's not bad at all. The gravy was quite bland for me though.

The place was not that big, but could accommodate numbers of customers inside.

When i finished my meal, I realized bakit "Asian" yung category ng place na to. Hmmm?

My friends, Adz and Kimy introduced this place to us. It is a carinderia type. We ordered Beef Tapa and I liked it.

The place looks clean and it's always full of people. 128527

Who would ever think that such massive meal is just 75 pesos!?! Never fails to impress. Best hole in the wall spot in this side of town with a mixed crowd of after gimmick peeps and casual nightowls as this joint is open 24/7

Chekwa Pares House offers yummy easy on the pocket meals. They were featured in Umagang kay Ganda and recently opened their 3rd branch, also in mandaluyong in Dansalan St. It is open 24 hours on all branches.

Their sizzling tbone is one of my favorites. The gravy is really good! ( i agree with you Lea A.- better than KFC! ). Their pares is also a must try and one of their best sellers.

Full stars given not only because the owner is my husband's best friend 128521 but because Chekwa Pares House really offers value for your money. Below P100 for a good tbone steak? Naman! San ka pa? 128513127860127835

HUWAT??? Chekwa is in Looloo!? Astig!

I usually go here when I'm lazy to cook or hungry or broke or all of the above 128569. Dirt cheap sizzling T-bone (less than P100) & decent gravy. Truth be told, I prefer their gravy over KFC's. Don't expect tender & fall of the bones kind of meat of course pero pwede na. For its price, keri na rin! This hole in the wall is quite popular in our area. People even eat in the bangketa during peak hours.

They also have the usual silog meals & pares for variety. Open 24 hours too! Perfect for after gimik food stop or when midnight craving kicks in.

Ambiance? What ambiance!? Non-existent dito yun! Monoblock chairs & tables lang. May electric fan naman.

Go eat here when you're in the area only. Hindi talaga yung tipong sasadyain mo.
