There are a lot of things I like about this resto:
1) the witty names of each dish
2) the whimsical interior
3) wide variety of dishes
I ordered Cheeky Feeling (165PHp) grilled chicken with Vietnamese sauce and mushroom soup and Mango shake (85PHp).
Then we ordered Double Digger (170PHp) their own version of halo halo.

On our last night at the once Yolanda stricken city of Tacloban, my college friends and I we wanted to try out a local restaurant for dinner before leaving the place. Our tour guide named a few restaurants, but what really stood out was Chew Love. Our guide repeatedly mentioned that it looked really nice there and described it as "makulay". So we decided to take the advice and try it out ourselves.
At the time we arrived in front of the restaurant, we were wowed by the architecture and the lighting of the place. To be honest, I didn't expect to find this artistic restaurant in Tacloban. I immediately thought, "I would definitely review this place on looloo!” I just hope that their food is as good my first impression of the restaurant.
🍽 The Food
Their main menu is categorized into different types of meat: Fish, beef, pork and chicken. Each dish, having their humorous names such as “Fish be with you”, “Steak to one”, “Love at Pork sight” and many more.
“Fish be with you” – Fish cooked in sunflower oil smothered in butter and garlic. This is what I had for dinner. Simple, and I liked the garlic flavor incorporated into the fish.
“Be Kare-ful with my heart” – This was their beef kare-kare meal. I only tasted the the savory sweet peanut sauce which I used for my rice. Hehe. It was good and my gf liked it too.
“Gold Digger” – The name for their Halo-Halo. I didn’t try it cause I still had cough that time so I can’t say that much about it. My friends said it was just ok.
This restaurant is certainly a cute place to have dinner because of the ambient lighting plus the interiors are very creative, which for us customers and especially foodies, is a plus for the dining experience.

This is why I loved pastel colors! Food was not overpriced. Cute interior. We were riding a tricycle when we spotted this restaurant. So when we were having a downtown walk, we passed along this street and we gave it a try. My mom enjoyed the place. She had a million pictures taken inside and outside the place ( or I'm just exaggerating, haha!) Will definitely go back here if ever we visit Tacloban again.

A restaurant to certainly drop by when in Tacloban. Formerly a car wash now converted beautifully into a homey restaurant designed like an American country home that is certainly drawing attention with its unique interiors.
The food is simple home cooked, but presented beautifuly. And prices are very affordable.
Try their best seller kare kare dish called Be Kare Ful With My Heart, and their colorful and refreshing lemonade such as Bluer than Blue, Pretty in Pink, Green Mind, Gingerely Yours, etc., served in mason jars.
This restaurant certainly brings a smile and its cheerful optimism reflects the strong spirit of the people of Tacloban to rise again!
