The thing about Chic-Boy is that you can't help buy compare it with its predecessor, Mang Inasal. With the almost the same menu, I was tempted to order what I usually order (Unli Rice Paa) from Mang Inasal and determine which tastes better. It also didn't help that, just the week, I've eaten twice at Mang Inasal. I'd have to say Mang Inasal. Chic-Boy lacked a little of the inasal salty-ish taste. The viand was still raw in the sense that, at one point, while I was trying to get meat, blood spurted from the chicken. It was icky. But (it may be be obvious from the pic) my chicken was burnt.

What else? Uhm. Well, the soup was a little slow. We got ours halfway through our meal, all the while we were thinking they don't offer free soup. One other thing I noticed was that they don't have Sulit meals, or those that don't have the unli rice promo. They also have more food to offer (they have sisig, bbq, liempo, spaghetti, chicken skin, and many more).

Other than that though, Chic-Boy is basically Mang Inasal. Same facade - chairs and tables, number, even that condiments bottles). It's not that surprising though considering the fact that they have the same founders (not necessarily owners).

Now, onto the Tagaytay part. Uhm. It's cold. It's a nice place. Not as crowded as other places, which is surprising since we arrived dinnertime (7-8pm). It's not noticeable though. Huge, "elevated" parking came before the store, almost blocking our view. The 2nd floor was off limits too, which was sad since we wanted to see what little view we had.

I've tried the Cebu Lechon it was good in fact, I love it so much, their special vinegar is the best pair, I’ve sprinkle some garlic on my warm rice to make it extra tasty, yummy!
