Yesterday was back to work day after a really long weekend and it was also welcoming November with a bang with an event partnered with Cignal TV and Sari Sari Channel.

We were at the Market! Market! Activity Center to launch the new shows of Sari-Sari Channel that's perfect for the Halloween season. The event started as early as 11AM, once the mall opened and the program ended at around 7:30PM.

It was a really really long day for the production team so we made sure to eat heavy dinner after this very demanding day. We were supposed to eat at either Tokyo Tokyo or Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes but we ended eating at Chicken Bacolod and I could never be happier!

It was a Wednesday night and the establishment was not that full so our group of 10 was easily accommodated. Their nice and warm servers instantly offered us their menus and we got to order as soon as possible.

As I was hungry, I did order a lot and I shared my orders to the group. I ordered the Molo Soup, Batchoy, Liver (Atay), Gizzard (Baticolon) and Kare-Kare. Some other orders by the gang included the Tuna Belly, Sinigang na Salmon, Ensaladang Mangga, Spicy Chicken Wings and the Binagoongang Kangkong.

The Molo Soup came in asap. It was served with loads of soup and the molo / siomai looking item came in like 4 pieces only. Despite that, I enjoyed the soup really well and the molo was filled good with meat and veggies.

The Batchoy was quite salty for my tastebuds but given its price, it was really served big. I loved how the noodles, meat, egg and veggies gave the dish a really flavorful taste.

The Atay and Baticolon came in sticks and all were grilled really well. I liked how yummy these items were when dipped in vinegar and soy sauce.

The Kare-Kare was filling too. It had beef and veggies in it and I liked how the sauce was generously served, with strong flavors that matched well with their bagoong.

The Ensaladang Mangga was another favorite. My! The bagoong in it was so yummy that I can imagine finishing the whole item by myself!

The Bingaoongang Kangkong was a new favorite too. I can eat a lot of rice because of this item.

Of course, I have only good words for the rest of our orders and for Chicken Bacolod's branch in Market! Market! I will definitely be back here!

The best isol in the metro, quite tiny though. But if you are looking for crisp inasal with just the right flavor then, this is it. And the tables are not too squeezed in. ILONGGO food you crave for with kansi, batuan and efuven. You know what I'm talking about.

The traditional and affordable Ilonggo dishes you love at your reach. I dined here with a vacationing Uncle from the US an we ordered:

Chicken Inasal
La Paz Batchoy (refillable soup base!)
Bangus Sisig
Garlic Rice
Fresh fruit shakes

Happy eating. Happy tummy.

Batchoy was tasteless, I mean it's like you're sipping plain hot water, I'm not sure if you can see the soup. There's no color, whatsoever while chix was dry.

Will never return.
