I was with my college buddies, one of them (A) really wanted to try the chicken here so we consented. The place was quite hidden, it's located on the second floor. Good thing about the place, there was the outside area for customers who would want to smoke then there's the air-conditioned room for diners only. The ventilation was good. There was a huge monitor for Kpop music videos. Of course my Kpopper friends (A and B) were so delighted hahaha! Upon ordering, the waitress let us try a shot glass of their iced tea as for my friend (A) is very picky when it comes to iced tea. We ordered mozzarella sticks and hot wings, 6 pcs mix of original and yang nyum chicken, vegetable fried rice and the ice tea. (friend A approved the iced tea) It took a slightly long time before our orders were served. Good thing the Kpop videos were there to keep us entertained. The mozzarella sticks were good; crispy outside and very gooey inside, best eaten when still hot. Hot wings were well, hot. I liked both the original and yang nyum chicken! Definitely better than Bonchon's. The skin was cripsy, meat was tender and well cooked, the sweet sauce plus the vegetable fried rice worked well altogether. Every spoonful was fulfilling. The servings were big so we had our leftovers for takeout. I think they lack staff but they were able to handle the orders, there was free wifi connection, and the price was okay. Overall the dining experience was good.

Wednesday afternoon my co-worker at PGH asked me, what good place to eat in Eastwood. Since I don't really do foodtrips in Eastwood, i browsed my looloo app and found Chicken and Beer. I accompanied her since she's having a dinner alone and I'm free that night.

We ordered:

Chicken (of course) half Honey Chicken and A Sweet And Spicy flavored Chicken (menu not complete here in looloo). The chicken was tender. I like the Honey than the Sweet and Spicy.

Onion Ring. The serving was big and overwhelming but the coating and cut was terrible. Too oily and soggy.

Carbonara. it was so-so. It's creamy but the serving was small.

Toblerone. Cocktail that tasted chocolate, reminds me of bailey's.

Sex on the beach. According to my friend, it wasn't the best and too strong.

Tequila Sunrise. Perfect. Not to sweet!

Service was good and fast.

Slow service. Halos mabilaukan na ako sa sobrang bagal ibigay ng server nila yung service water na hinihingi ko. The chicken bbq meal was delicious!!! And their spicy ramen tastes better than the first time i went there .

The CO2, haha I have no idea what this is called. I always order it by its code.

Don't get me wrong. I like the chicken, which is why I wanted to eat here in the first place. Just the right amount of sweet and spicy. Six big pieces for sharing at P279 too.

My complaints are more on the branch. I have this flavour of chicken at other branches and they're perfectly fine there. In the Eastwood branch though, the chicken wasn't seasoned as well. There were visible parts on the skin that didn't have marinade.

Anyway, the branch was understaffed. They only had 2 waitresses to serve the full restaurant. On top of that, there were a lot of mosquitoes under the table, and small flies circling the food. The waitresses had electric fly swatters, but again they were just 2 there so it was difficult for them to kill the flies, run to the counter to serve the food, as well as make the drinks simultaneously. Yeah, it was weird finding out that they were the bartenders too. I hope they're getting paid right for all the multitasking.

The best Chicken and Beer branch for me will always be the one in Molito. They have consistently good food and the stocks are complete. THEY HAVE CHILI FRIES ALL THE TIME.

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad

I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews for Chicken and Beer. And stand by what I mean when I say that the quality really depends on the branch. Take Eastwood for example. In my entire history of dining here, they have NEVER had chili fries available, much to my dismay. So I went with this poorly made salad.

I left some stars in there for the chicken. It was good, but it was too sparce for the leaf ratio. Dressing was bad! It was way too sour and they went overboard on the parmesan. Never ordering salad from them again, unless I was in a different branch just to compare.

At P255, even though this was good for 2, it's not worth your time, money, and stomach space. Best to stick with their fries. That is of course, if the branch you went to actually has it in stock.

It's my fist review but it is my third time to visit this place. I kinda like it but there's nothing different with the food that they serve. The only uncommon is the kpop videos playing all the while, and the super thin sticks they serve kust after they took your orders. It is oily but not bad, i think it is olive oil. It doesnt taste anything, its like an edible stick, not bad though.

I would always order M04 and thais their original chicken. The classic fried with some sort of a yabu-like cabbage for side dish. I love veggies so I liked it. It was not what I put in the review photo, but the bento box. I just love the bento box (i meant only the box) becuase it came with a cover which i didnt capture. It wasnt my order so I can't share enough, maybe you can just take a look at the photo, and judge away.

Well, it was OK after all 9786

I'm guessing the people responsible for the layout of the tables here have no sense of personal space. Ang sikip sikip lang, grabe!

We came in at past 2am, there wasn't a lot of people, after we ordered, half an hour had passed and wala pa rin yung beer! No sight of servers in the al fresco area as well! We needed to go in to catch their attention! Whuuut!

So we walked out. Haay, sayang yung 30 minutes. Sucked to be here. Never again.
