I don't know if this is a function of their food's quality (or the lack of it), but this place is always near-empty. Food was delicious enough for me. Nice taste, reminiscent of Bon Chon and Manang's. Interiors were too fastfood-esque but hey, so was the price.

After our evening jog in UP, we decided to eat here. I had a hard time choosing what to eat but decided to go for their salad. Yes, first time. Sayang naman yung tinakbo ko eh.

Salad was good. I loved their chicken strips and their greens are fresh and crisp. I haven't tried BonChon's and I want to try it. Salad salad muna pag may time, lol.

I took a bite of their fish fillet. It was good, too. Love their mayo dip.

Sorry, kami na lang costumer so nag-vandalize ako. Heh.

Note: customer is always right.

Some friends told me that they prefer chicken charlie to bon chon so i've been wanting to try this place for more than a year but every time I pass by the Katipunan branch there is never any parking. Finally decided to try it out when I spotted parking at this branch.

I ordered the signature sandwich and their cheese stick dynamite.

I loved the cheese stick dynamite! I think the last time i tried a similar dish was a few years back at fiama. I think i liked this one better cause it had just the right proportion of cheesiness to spiciness ratio. The one at fiama was waay to spicy for me.

As for the chicken sandwich i prefer this to that of bon chon, with this sandwich i could actually taste the juicy chicken unlike in bon chon where it's basically 2 flat pieces of flour128513. The only down side was upon inspection it looked like only half the patty was dipped in soy garlic (so strange, one side was really white).

-1 star cause the attendant argued with me. I asked her if she could advance my order, i clearly said signature sandwich ala cart, she gladly said yes. Unfortunately she wasnt paying attention, she did not inform me that it cannot be bought ala cart. Instead of saying sorry and refunding my money she just kept insisting on her side and since I was just not in the mood i let it go (i was gonna get her back on looloo anyway lol)

So i'd probably be back but not at this branch.

And then there were 3.

After Bonchon Chicken, came Manang's and Chicken Charlie. We tried it for the first time and It failed me. Chicken batter or the skin was too hard to cut thru the drumstick. Chops were tender but that was it. Presentation wise, not sure if their chicken had too much sauce on it or if it was slightly over friend for the skin to brown that much.

And the verdict: I say... I'm not coming back.
