I spent my pre-birthday celebration here with college friends last October 06. I rarely see them now because of our busy schedules from work, family, jowa or basically busy with our own life. Haha Some of them are already working abroad. I grab the chance to celebrate my birthday with them but unfortubately some of them weren't able to come due the heavy rain that night and got stucked on a heavy traffic for hours and went home na lang.

This past few months, I started to get bored with UPTC esp. when it comes to restaurants to choose from. Thankfully the UPTC extension opened with it's new establisments.

I'm choosing between Chilis and Chocolate Kiss. I remembered I was with a pihikan friend & a preggy friend so I let them decide where to eat and they picked Chilis. Chilis was located on the ground floor near CBTL, ourside of the mall where the cinema is.

Chilis has been one of our fave resto eversince. I've been to Chilis for a few times and it never disappoints to deliver big, good quality food. Their food have been consistents from all of the branches.

It was raining that night so we waited to get a table inside for a few minutes. The place was small, same interiors with the other branches. We got a table on the couch on the right end. I just don't see the point of having a TV switch on without sounds and a music was being played on the other hand. Lol

Once seated inside, we ordered Bottomless Tostada Chips + Queso Skillet. Tostada chips was a good starter while waiting for the mains and while having a good conversation with your friends. It's crunchy and it compliments both the salsa and the cheesy queso skillet. We had a refill after 10 minutes of muching and chatting. I was kinda feeling full so I stopped eating it to have a space cor the mains.

Tripple Dipper. We chose Wings over flow, Calamari and Southern Eggrolls (not sure) with 3 different dips on it. I only had the calamari sknce it was choice and haven't had the chance to have a bite of the other two appetizer.

3 of us ordered the 127865 Margarita October Madness for 300php. They have this promo every October. I had the Strawberry and I liked it better than the lime. The margarita was quite good, not too strong but enough alcohol that made me red. It's unlimited but only managed to have a 2 glass of it.

Babyback Ribs. My preggy friend and her hubby loved it. The meat was tender and dressing was good according to her. Fries and mashed potato on the sides.

Grilled Salmon with Garlic and Herbs. I liked it. Not malansa but I liked the salmon at Dulcelin Goutmet better. 128523

Classic Fajitas Combi. Grilled Chicken and Pork meats served with a plate of Fajitas and sides. My picky friend's usual order in Chilis and she loved it very much. Eventhough the Fajita smells like a paa according to her. Lol

Molten Chocolate Cake as my birthday cake 128525. One of the best Lava cake in town, number 4 on my list. The cake was moist with a rich melted chocolate inside topped with vanilla ice cream coated with chocolate. Every bite was heaven, I think the taste stayed on my pallate.

Service was excellent. The manager even checked on how was our food. The staff assisted us was pleasant and bubbly. Price was worth it. Big serving and good food. Prolly the most expensive birthday I had for this year and I'm broke after 4 celebrations. 128514128514128514

This is the smallest branch of Chili's in the country. I figured this out upon seeing it, and later confirmed it with the manager. Other Chili's branches are huge and some have standalone buildings. Because of the not-so-big space and being a Saturday night, we had to wait for a while for a table.
I and my wife were initially offered a table outside but it was a warm night and it felt like it was going to rain anytime, so we declined. Besides, I thought the table was small for the size of the serving platters they had. We were also offered chairs at the bar top but my wife didn't find eating at the bar very comfortable, so we also declined. In my opinion, they should remove the little bar they have and just convert that place into a few more tables. They don't have the luxury of space to put in a bar table.

Later on they asked us if it was OK with us if the bigger party next in line to us could go ahead of us since the small tables they bundled together were perfect for them and they told us there would be booths opening up soon. Oookaaay... Its not like we have been waiting for quite some time now. Anyway, my wife agreed but I was getting hangry, I admit. It took some more time before the booth tables were vacated but finally we got a table, and just in the nick of time because a little more delay and I would have whisked my wife to another place.

We waited for some time before we got the food we ordered, odd really as they had us order in advance while we were waiting in line. The long time it took us to get a table I thought when we get seated the food will be there quickly.

Anyway, the food arrived and we ate. We got the Triple Dipper and our choice were Wings Over Buffalo, Chicken Crispers and Eggrolls. This dish came with 3 tasty dips of which I can only name one since its the one I liked the most - blue cheese. You can have the dips refilled as much as you want. We also ordered some grilled pork belly with Chili's rice and veggies which we split between the two of us. It was also good. I also got a bowl of chili because, of course, they make good chili. The servings were more than enough for the two of us that we even brought some leftover home.

The food is good here like in other of their branches and the service is OK. The manager even passed by as we ate and apologized for our long wait to get a table. He said that its really a problem for them especially during peak hours and they had some customers leave because of the long waiting times. So, that's a tip. If you want to eat there, avoid the peak hours.
