Going to NAIA is aways a chore. Bad traffic on the way and limited food selection inside the airport. But this time it's different. I made it a point to explore terminal 3 and just walk. I had a lot of time to burn and I didn't want to wait at the gate. One restaurant got my attention. Hidden behind construction scaffoldings was China Tang. Well-lit restaurant with modern interiors. Funny that I was craving for good old Chinese food.

Spoiler alert: China Tang food is freaking great. I was caught by surprise.

If you're ordering one thing, get the steamed white fish with eggplant. I never knew that this combination worked. The flavorful fish mixed well with the soft eggplant slices. As usual, old favorites such as yang chow fried rice, pork shomai and sweet and sour pork were also ordered. I was actually expecting the food to be just okay. But wow, finally, NAIA has a decent restaurant. It helps that the place is not crowded like the others.

This visit to China Tang makes me want to travel more so that I have more reasons to go to T3.
