Besides sweaters and hot chocolate, the cold weather also calls for a warm bowl of noodles. Right? Right! December has been gloomy lately and rain kept pouring the past few days... I can't help but crave for some laksa. It's a spicy noodle soup that's famous in Singapore and Malaysia.

Before leaving Manila and heading back to Pampanga, I managed to squeeze some time and have my favorite laksa for lunch at Chomp Chomp. It's a small restaurant near St. Scho and DLSU Manila where Asian dishes are served like Nasi Goreng, Hainanese Chicken, etc. at a very affordable price! It's student friendly because most dishes are priced at around P100 - 150 only. But you'll surely be full after because of their generous servings. Some are even for sharing. :)

Going back to the laksa (Junior size - P100), it's served with a burner below so you eat while it's still boiling. It makes the flavor even richer and the soup creamier. Along with the noodles are assorted balls of shrimp, crab and the like. Yum!

It's flavorful and authentic that I actually feel like I'm eating it at a hawker center in Singapore. My friend whose family owns the restaurant told me that they really take their chefs to other countries for them to know the real taste of these dishes and be able to bring it back here in the Philippines. How awesome is that?

I like their fried noodles (35-50php) chicken satay (35php per stick) and singapore ramen (85php)! Affordable but tasty meals! I love their almond shake too! You can enjoy sumptuous asian dish for a very reasonable price! 128076

This is the place when we crave for Laksa and fresh fruit shakes. Other rice meals are so so.

Ordered the satay rice (pictured) and it was great. Was a little spicy but the heat packed flavor. Very affordable at P80. My girl ordered a regular Beef Teriyaki which was also good, priced at P155. We were both full so it was a good experience.

Would I go back? I would to try their other rice bowls also worth P80.

I've been a fan of their Nasi Goreng and Chicken Satay from the CCF main branch so I ordered here for take out and to enjoy a late dinner.

The nasi goreng was spicier I think, and I loved it. Chicken satay was delicious.

The take out service took some time though, and I practically used up my phone battery surfing and viewing Facebook.

Overall, still a good food trip. I'm also a fan of the laksa.

Tried their Singapore Ramen. It's was okay. I know for a fact that it was lucky me noodles or some other brand but still packed noodles but the soup was good. And I like how they used "spam" not just "maling" for the sake of saving. For Php. 85 pesos, that's actually cheap. And their servings are big for their cheap prices. That's why my friends and I love it there, especially if we're on a tight budget.

If you are too, I suggest you try it here. I would suggest a side dish of an order Regular Fried Noodles (Php.35) not bad right? And if you're l
Tryna be "healthy" a Large order of the Fried Noodles worth Php. 50 will get your tanks all fueled up. Trust me. I got full. Haha.

I usually order Laksa. The Laksa was okay for its price. The soup was rich but I was expecting something more spicy. Noodles are not overcooked even after the candle (under the pot) died. Hainanese chicken was okay, but it has inappropriate condiments. The thing that goes with rice (I forgot the name. It's more like chahan.) was okay. Spare some seafood tho.

Fresh apple juice for P95! What a deal! :) Fried noodles were just okay. Beef teriyaki is good but I find it small for P155 they also got my order wrong cause I ordered junior and thought that it was sulit for 100 but it's bigger than expected because it's regular but too small for 155
