First time to try this place and I was glad I did. Food was great and price was affordable! Their shrimp is fresh and yummy! I can't wait to go back and try their grilled pampano which is one of their best sellers.

Back at Choobi Choobi! This time for dinner with my Masters's friends 128522 hubby has been wanting to try the lobster fish (monkfish pala sya FYI) so he ordered that right away kahit sya Lang kumain. It looks scary! 128517 it's 100/100grams so it can come out quite expensive.
We also got the Chilean mussels. I was scared that the meat might be chewy because of the size but they were perfectly tender! Some of the meat has literally fallen from the shell! I've been wanting to order the shrimp in salted egg sauce. I didn't like it too much. Maybe d ko pala ganun Ka type Ang salted egg 128513 we also ordered a half lb bag of shrimp in garlic butter, delish!
My friend wanted to try the pla pla so went ahead and got that too. It was fried really well, the meat was tender and the skin crispy 128077🏼 pork belly was ok but I would've liked it with no marinade.
Another yummy experience at Choobi Choobi!

Saw the high ratings on looloo and had to try it for myself.

Nice pleasant atmosphere - spacious and well lit with a fisherman's wharf-like feel to it.

Ordered most of the recommended dishes: baked scallops, shrimps in a bag (butter and garlic flavor), cha Tao Miao (snow pea sprouts), kalamari, sabaw na halaan and fried tilapia (bukadkad style).

Let's cut to the chase - the cha Tao Miao (which reminds me of alfalfa sprouts) was the best tasting dish. The soup was great if not for the bits of shell because some clams ended up cracked. I think I prefer the smaller clams. The scallops were a disappointment as the garlic butter just didn't meld well with the scallops. The shrimps in a bag - supposedly the piece de resistance - wasn't bad but was JUST ok. I still prefer the one by Johnny Kahuku in RW.

Overall, it was nice to try but probably won't be back anytime soon.

I don't usually try new restos unless recommended by a trusty source so when my foodie colleague vibered me about this place, hubby and I decided to have lunch there right the next day!
The place is like almost hidden at the very end of southmall, near savory and the bowling alley. When we entered, no one approached us right away so we just seated ourselves. No biggie 128522
Prices were insane! Insane in a good way! Their 1lb of shrimp is php395 as opposed to the other place in McKinley which is almost php600. They also have half pound orders except for the salted egg flavor which is php440/lb. other flavors I remember are butter garlic, spicy (gata) and just halabos. They also have a WIDE variety of other dishes like BBQ, bangus, tempura and even lobster fish! Rice is unli at 45 pesos, whuttt?!?
We tried the house special which is the Choobi bay bag, 1lb of shrimp in their Cajun sauce. We also added corn and sausage. Baked scallops on the side.
Servers were super polite and food came out quicker than expected 128077🏼
Needless to say, we won't be going back to McKinley just for shrimp 128540 total bill was just php800!
Can't wait to go back!

If you're craving for shrimps and crabs ala Bubba Gump, but on a budget, visit this place. They don't serve fresh shrimps obviously, kaya dinadaan na lang sa sauce; pero if you use your hands to sipsip the food, sulit naman. Pero ang pinaka panalo talaga dito e yung veggie tempura, batter pa lang, pak ganern na. Pero wag na natin pag usapan ang sizzling boneless bangus, it was just 128529

Crispy pata and garlic buttered shrimp are just some of the best dishes one can feast on here in one of the budget friendly restos. From southern part of the Philippines now within reach of foodies in Metro Manila.
