We stayed at our friend's unit at Unique Plaza after our lunch at Bullchef, took an afternoon nap and decided to have dinner at chowking at 7pm. Just walking distance from the place. I ordered pork chao fan w/ siomai P79 and regular nai cha (pearl milk tea) P68. No mami and siopao set meal that night.

Now that I've checked the receipt, P68 for Nai Cha?! Or may error sa POS nila? I dunno if may increase pero -1127775 for the Nai Cha price.

Fast service, nauna pa order ko sa 2 friends na nauna saken. 128540

It was already storming the sorrow in Manila, but yet I decided to order their funsize halo halo. 128518128518128518 maybe because of the tire inflator? Idk.

I actually enjoyed my halo halo as it was alike what the picture shows. Lots of 'sahog' and the ice cream toppings, leche flan and ube are all present! Php45 is quite okay for its price, with this glass size, but yeah just okay.

127880127881128540 For Lumpia Shanghai lovers out there!

Had me breakfast at Chowking the other day while early on my way to work. Had their chicken longganisa with fried rice and egg. Critique: rice was soft and decent tasting. Chicken longganisa was hotdog-esque, different from how McDo does their longganisa meal (skinless), but it works. Chowking hadn't changed its breakfast in quite a while, and I haven't had their breakfast since way back in the early 2000's. Guess breakfast isn't really their thing. This was about P75. Not bad. Had coffee with it too but, just like the Jollibee group, they aren't taking coffee seriously like McDonalds.

But I had Lumpia Shanghai on the side (P32 for 3 pieces), which complemented it well and truly hit the spot. Three well shaped, crunchy, cleanly wrapped lumpia shanghai's (With sweet and sour sauce (of course). I can keep coming back to Chowking just for this....If I liked going to fast food Chinese often. But I'm sorry, I don't. Just wanted to write this one and only Chowking review for the benefit of cheap Fast Food Chinese Food everywhere.

And for people to recommend their fave Lumpia Shanghai's! 128521128515128522

Mine would include Max's (taste and presentation though not cleanly wrapped), and Amber's.

P.S. their service is just a smidge slower than a typical fast food. And for a two year old branch their resto is not well maintained. Or maybe Chowking really doesn't update its look.
