One of the restaurants in Lilac St that I love.

I like that it's an old house with old interiors, the chef said that it is owned by Xian Lim's grandparents.

I love their Beef Sinigang, the glutinous rice, chocolate cake, iced tea, servings are Chubbies and the service crews, they are all friendly.

Sorry, no photos coz I changed my cellphone, I accidentally deleted all photos.

The serving is true to its name... CHUBBIES!
The food is good. I ordered lechon burrito and chocnut cheesecake.
I can really taste the chocnut in the cheesecake but I think it has too much whip cream. The lechon burrito feels like Filipino style burrito. But afterwards the lechon is already greasy. All in all the experience is good.

Ordered Oreo Milkshake and my usual - Spicy Pork Steak. We caught this resto just before its closing. We usually eat here when we can't decide where to eat in Lilac St.

It was a little bit disappointing because the pork was not tender and kinda difficult to cut. Unlike before. Flavor is of course still amazing. But we were unable to fully enjoy the meal because it wasn't as tender as it should be.

The milkshake was great. Amazingly big serving as usual at Chubbies.

Dinner after mass with mah brothers. Sunday nights make people flock along Lilac Street in Marikina for good dinner. We had difficulty in choosing where to eat and left without a choice, we ate at Chubbies Qcina.

Their funny colorful logo made it look like the restaurant serves comfort food however, when we entered the place, I felt a serious vibe! It was an old house transformed into a restaurant. Definitely NOT serving any comfort food. Logo doesn't do justice to the place!

I ordered their bestseller Salisbury Steak and one jar of red iced tea. Their service was real slow. It took I think 45 minutes for our orders to be ready. Even the iced tea took time! We were so hungry when the orders came. Minus one star! The plate was enormous unlike their serving. Although the serving was late, the food tasted great! Or so I thought. It was just me who was so hungry that i thought everything was delicious. Little by little I realized that my steak was extra salty. Yes it was definitely too salty.

Anyway, good thing the servers were all smiles. Their food was not that bad after all. I can definitely go back soon if I will have the chance to taste their other dishes.

Ordered their Salisbury Steak, Spicy Pork Steak, Pork Sisig, and Choco Caramel Cake. All had very generous servings. The Salisbury Steak wasn't very memorable. But the Pork Sisig was good although I kinda wanted it to have those crunchy bits. And my goodness! The Spicy Pork Steak was amazing. 128525 We all couldn't get enough of it. Definitely coming back for that one. And the Choco Caramel Cake was also good. Not too sweet. Just how I like it.

My most recommended place in Lalic St. 128077🏼128077🏼128076🏼 I really love their food and drinks (especially for a pasta lover like me). Their price is affordable though their service needs more polishing since some of the staff are not that really attentive to their customers 128521.

If you are in the eating mood, this place would be a great fit! All servings are for sharing - serves two to three. Even with the huge servings, you are never shortchanged in terms of taste.

Try their pizza - we ordered the pepperoni flavor - as well as their rice meals. We tried their baked chicken rice meal (pictured) and it's so filling! We also got to try their crinkles (compliments of the café since it is Mother's Day), and they are gooey delicious! Lastly, their drinks are humongous!

Great value for money! 128522

They transferred to a new venue, right in front of Chinabank in Lilac Street. Arrived here at around 645pm. Ordered the following: Potato Wedges, Mushroom Cappuccino, BBQ Pizza, Linguine Carbonara and Bacon & Cheese Overload.

After 30mins... Wala parin kahit isa sa food namin. Kahit man lang yun soup or water wala rin. Hahaha. Yamot e. So back to the waiting game...

After another 20mins... Dumating na yun potato wedges. Tapos intay nanaman.

At around 745pm, dumating na yun bbq pizza. After another 15mins, dumating yun bacon & cheese. Asan na yun dalawa? Wala parin. Hahaha.

But, nag-insist ako na di naman namin fault na more than 1hr na wala parin yun soup and pasta.

Nagbill-out nalang kami.

Soft opening nila kagabi, di siguro nila natantsa na marami yun tao today but still... Hay. Favorite ko pa man din dito sa Chubbies. Sana next time mag-improve na sila. Kasi dati ok naman service nila. 128532

This was one of the few old restos along Lilac street that we haven't tried. For one, I didn't really understand what kind of resto they were (I initially thought they were a yogurt place because of the logo). And to take more about their branding, the name ws weird and the logo really needs some improvement.

Good thing the food was good. When we finallu did get to try it there, we were pleasantly surprised.

I ordered the Bacon and Cheese Overload pasta. They weren't kidding when they used the world "overload". The pasta was practically floating in several types of cheese which i loved! The Chicken Quesadillas were also good. The Chubbied Burger was huge and very tasty too. It was a good lunch, I must say. 128079

Why only 3 stars? It may sound shallow but I still feel a bit irked by their name and logo. Also, when we got inside, we finally figured out what personality the resto was trying to achieve: world cuisine (because they had several memorabilia from different countries and based on their menu selection too).

But what's most important is the food. And the food is good. So that's a huge thumbs up for us!

Ambiance is ok. Food is good. Service is ok. The price versus serving is just right or should i say ud get ur money's worth. The waitress is wearing short skimpy maong shorts,a plain white shirt underneath a plaid red apron and black sneakers. Looks more like a mall-stroll outfit to me. A more decent uniform would do.

Was feeling adventurous today. After going to Antipolo church, we don't know where we gonna eat. Then my friend recalled seeing on TV- this diner. Hadda trek Sumulong Hi-way, Marikina. Just followed our Gps and we won't get lost. Lilac St is quite long and this was further fr the hi way turn before we saw it. Saw soo many diners along Lilac St w/c appeared to our liking to, but we were bent on going here.
Servers were all amiable & welcoming. Everything's looked delish. 'Twas way pass 1400h so decided to try their rice offers. Got Pork BBQ baked rice, spicy pork steak w/mushroom sauce, spicy chicken steak w/mush sauce & blueberry cheesecake ! 128523
127878127878127878 Presentation - great to my standards. All food piping hot when served! With side veggies, too! hotel standard cutleries & plates, tho ordinary water glasses. Didn't see how they serve their drinks cuz we jZ had water, to giv space to our food. Wahahahahaaa !!!
127878127878127878Taste- the Bbq baked rice was soooo smoky taste in a good way, smothered with Parmesan cheese w/c ain't overpowering. The spicy pork steak w/mushroom sauce was served separately from the white rice w/c was cooked w/pandanus & the chix steak w/mush sauce had an interesting taste for a breaded chix (in a good way, too), not the usual breaded chix I'm used to. Blue berry cheesecake was humongous, that we three could hardly finish it. Taste was heavenly tho the crust was slightly on the sweet side (ain't fond of sweets). The mushroom sauce ain't overpowered with cream, tho could taste the butter (awwwww!!!! Fattening!!!) 128540
127878127878127878 Price - all rice servings are reasonable at php185.00
Blue berry cheesecake for Php135.00 only! 'Twas biggg!!!!
127878Ambiance - are you kidding? Michael Bublè was serenading us!!! 127932127925127926
127878 Location - good thing my friend saw this on TV, otherwise we won't know, they hv fb account. No public transport in Lilac St, tho the Street is dotted with Ssoooo many yummy diners

Our friend called us to have lunch together. We met them at SM Megamall. After a while, we rode the van and headed to Marikina. Traffic was just ok. We entered the restaurant with enthusiasm specially the children. Drinks and food kept on coming. Watch out for this big glass of Italian Soda, the soda with strawberry ripple perked me up. I also tasted their tinapa pasta that made my sister's day. I can't help eating their scrumptious sisig. What can I say, sisig sarap! Their big servings double with the reasonable price really is worthwhile. Surely, yum yummee!
