PS. Making a review for the Southmall branch, and putting it in the MOA branch since there’s no Southmall option yet and they have a similar branch set up.

I’ve been seeing their kiosk/stand outside the restaurant strip in Southmall for a while now but I only got to buy there yesterday. I actually have tried La Lola already but this is my first time making a review.

I got the Medium classic churro (bought 2) and 2 dips too. I was deciphering whether I would only get the Small one for the dip because my churro size is just Medium but the staff suggested that I get the Large instead, so I got 2 of it - one classic and one dark chocolate. I assume that the classic one is milk chocolate. After paying for it, I realized that the dip is almost the same price as the churro itself; 6pc churro is 110php while the medium sized dip is 100php.

Tastewise, the churro is crunchy, and a piece of it is actually long unlike the others that are just a few inch longer than your finger so I think that the 6pc one is enough for a person - even for 2 if you’re not really that hungry. Its also best eaten hot, and I got mine freshly cooked that's why I liked it. For the dip, I honestly didn’t tasted any difference from the two, but the dips aren’t Nutella sweet and not too bitter as well so if you’re not into those too sweet stuffs then you’d like this one.

This branch though did not have the Churroreo, Xuxos or Churros Bravos; just the classic one, maybe because they're still new.

Finally!

I was curious to try this because people were always in line to buy but I was thinking that it was expensive for a churros. Yesterday, I finally gave it a try. I bought the classic one with milk chocolate dip. It was so good and even better when you eat it warm.

So good!

Churreria La Lola
Mall of Asia

If I loved my Eastwood branch experience, this one, I kind of disliked. The stall was really nice but that's about it. There were only a few people but the service was not so good. And the churros? They were a little difficult to bite. Plus, the chocolate dip was too watery. 128078

Dropped by here first before our S-Maison foodcrawl the other week. Jayson J is just so giddy that we go here because of the La Lola Van.hehe. Anyway the van was indeed cool. Eyecatching if you pass it by but the lady inside the van was sweating. Kawawa si ate hehe. Imagine trapped inside a van with a boiling oil even with the top of the van open it was still so hot inside.128549128549128549

For the churros I like this one better than the one in eastwood. This one is freshly cooked and the texture was right on. Hoping for more sprinkle of sugar.128522

So i did not allow this opportunity to pass by. Now that we are at MOA area for the conrad visit, having heard that there's a cool la lola stand from Peach L, i hurriedly drag Dennis O and Elaine O here. We all know churreria is a bit cloying, so we decided to share one 6pc order. We did not order the chocolate dip anymore.

What's cool here is it's freshly cooked unlike the one at eastwood. This one is crunchy outside while soft inside. It is slightly sugared, and a lot oily.

They operate inside a vintage Volkswagen mini van--now that is something creative, they also have a few seats available somewhere near the van.

Pinipilahan. I hope all la lola branches serve this way. I just notice that there were no flavored churros here. This stand i heard will not be forever dahil wlang forever

Plain churros is good as long as it is fresh. Max 3 piece before it feels cloying. 9786

I remember I said that I liked it but it's a bit too crispy for me.

But one thing I realized, there's something in this that makes you wanna crave for it, like literally. 128529

While walking along the bricked path of MOA, this hipsterish Kombi with striking colors parked in the middle of the path got my attention. I took out my fone to take a photo then I saw the signage --- LA LOLA CHURRERIA.

I quickly took one shot and walked towards it. Was supposed to buy the most raved about Matcha but they only have the Classico so I bought a dozen because I was with kids.

I have to say this is better than the first time... maybe because it's freshly-cooked. It was still really hot when they gave it to me.

I think the chocolate dip is the secret. It's really good. Not too sweet either. 128522

And I discovered something which made me love it even more... they're using OLIVE OIL. 128522128522

No wonder it's expensive. 128527

The cool Kombi stall will only be there temporarily. The crew said they'll only be there until September and they will move to another location. 128077

Piping hot, crunchy, satisfying yummyness! I was truly surprised on how big the portions were. Obviously takaw mata strikes again. My churro craving was obliterated. Wow! Definitely recommended. Buy enough to share, makes the experience more enjoyable 128522

They only offer the Classico and chocolate dip here. They were good as usual, but I was disappointed to see that their churros here are shorter. :(

And I've gone to almost all branches. 128516

I got disappointed with this. I was so excited to taste this trending churros brand, with all the hypes and lines i thought it was exceptional but from the first bite I got really sad. It didn't meet my expectations. I don't know if it was the way it was cooked. 128557128546

La Lola just had their kiosk on the wheels in an old volkswagen at Mall of Asia. Just in front of Icebergs. I've always been thrilled about churros because it reminds me of my childhood and so far La Lola has been closer to it at least.

But their Mall of Asia kiosk is not even close to where my heart is. For starters, their classic churros are only sprinkled with sugar. No cinnamon or whatsoever. Chocolate dip is sold separately as usual but it's a little pricey. Php 60 for the small serving. We had 6 pcs classic churros at Php 110 with a little less sugar. They had slow service too. One cooked serving could barely keep up to two XL orders. We waited around 30 mins for our order. Maybe it's just a kiosk that's why it's lacking. Or maybe it's just new to the area which is why most people wanted to give it a try.

Maybe they could offer cinnamon sugar next or improve their service next time so they can meet their customer's demands.

If you are into Churros this brand will not disappoint. I'm a VW Kombi fan and this just hits me twice. Check it out and experience it yourself. Happy hunting!
