I needed a quick lunch and decided to order a sandwich to go. Ordered the gruyere with tomato sandwich. It costs 215. And what came out was really really disappointing. Two slices of sandwich, and the filling wasnt even max-ed to the crust. That was it. No chips, no anything else. For the price, it is really not worth it. Hi way robbery. 128548

A bad haircut induces you to make up for it by ordering something expensive. It also applies when you know you're not paying for it.

I needed to order something different from my usual order of pasta and decided to go with a rotolo di manzo - the beef tenderloin steak with bacon and mozzarella. Didn't taste much of the mozzarella but i liked that it wasn't familiar in flavor. Cooked medium with a side of rice, this baby was worth waiting for. But my mood was still a little bit dour since I found it bitin. I also ordered a strawberry sgroppino that had vodka in it. Strawberries were good and not maasim, Man, i needed some alcohol!

My family had their usual fare of pork chops, pasta and juices. What i love when dining with them is how they ask if you want dessert and when you say no, they will order dessert. I love sharing and i'm glad i did because they ordered two slices of cheesecake drizzled with caramel and an order of tiramisu. This was huge!!! Though my brother and i shared it, we had my dad and my tita in on it as well. This tasted different and it had a certain crunch to it, unlike the usual lady fingers a tiramisu has. Hmmm, did i get my desserts wrong?

I'll always want their coffee. Yes to going back.

Had lunch with the wifey and she started reminiscing about her law school days so she wanted to eat at cibo. She always orders the same pasta which I forgot the name. I ordered spaghettini with cream and truffle and one pizza with Jamon serrano and cheese.
Very delicious pasta. Nice and al dente. Price not so nice. Paid around 1400. Must be the high rent.

Overpriced pasta for me. Service was good, consistent to past visits. Red grape shake without the syrup was good also.

Here's their spaghettini ala margherita. Stewed tomato with garlic cloves and (few) basil leaves. Nothing spectacular; it's lacking the garlicky and herby taste.

Good service, though. Service was fast and servers were attentive. Also, I like their orange and white chairs.

has cibo ever disappointed? sometimes. a little bland here, a little salty there, a little dry somewhere. but for the past decade it had stayed fairly consistent and predictably satisfying. it hardly disappoints. i like how they take care of the basics. olive oil and stewed tomatoes, wherever they appear are always good. i will forever be a fan.

Craving for beef and nothing better than this cibo beef dish

"Aglio rosmarino tagliata di manzo"

... Thinly sliced roast beef ... Sooo tender with choice of focaccia bread or rice & topped with garlic and rosemary ... The garlic is seasoned and sautéed to perfect the dish ... It's Mary S fault that I'm craving for meat128541.... Hahaha... But now happy , satisfied and stuffed & and yes Bruce D ... I finished ever single morsel & proud of it ... Hihi 128541

Squash soup - normal

Beef salad - I'd order this everytime. Fresh veggies. Dressing is just right. Beef is tender.

Rigatoni Alfonso - One of my favorites. Always yummy but undercooked/overcooked. Rigatoni was a bit hard.

I like the ambiance at bimbi than the one outside.

POTATO CHIPS with the aioli dip. Nuff said. YUM!

Ordered the beef salad and five cheese pizza.

Their beef salad is like something you can just make at home.

Five cheese pizza.. I wonder why the cheese doesn't ooze.

Tip stick with their pasta. Oh and the thin beef strips too.

Sweet, but not too sweet, and big enough to share with two others. This tiramisu with a crunch (they use phyllo pastry instead of lady fingers), paired with a piping hot cup of Americano is the perfect melody to a Sunday afternoon; a combo that is sure to "pick you up". 128522

This place is a family favorite restaurant of ours but for some reason I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet! Hahaha 9786

You know how hard it is to let your kids eat any kind of veggies? Let them try the spinach dip, my nephews can eat one serving each!

My favorite pasta is the pescatora (shrimp) tomato based and valentino (crab) creamy tomato based, seafood lover here! Very light on the tummy.

My nephews love their carbonarra, who doesn't? and also the prosciutto arugula pizza 128522

My folks love the frutti di mare salad too.

They have servings good for one and family servings to fit our family of 8 128522 That's why we love this place!

This review is very much belated, but better late than never. Cibo is one of my good old favourites for pasta and salads, and I'm never disappointed with the quality of the food whenever I go. Ordered the insalata di manzo during my last visit, yummy as always - plus for those on the Cohen diet, they can modify this and give you your exact beef/veggie weight requirements.

More importantly though, during my last visit here, I found the staff to be very friendly and personable. I was in a rush to leave after eating lunch and accidentally left my laptop there. Once I realized this, I ran back and was greeted by the waiter who served me (I can't remember his name unfortunately - so sorry!!). He returned my laptop to me with a cheerful smile. Happy to have been served by an incredibly honest person!!

Since I wasn't satisfied with my previous gamberetti sandwich. I just had to let Cibo redeem themselves. I was not disappointed. This time, bread was heftily stuffed with the shrimp and alfalfa sprouts, bread was not soggy but still crunchy. This remains to be my fave sanwich

I have no idea why people like this place. I had Penne alla Norma and Pomodoro Classico Bruschetta and forced myself to eat the dishes.

The penne noodles were rubbery and unappetizing and the sauce was so salty. The fresh tomatoes on the bruschetta were salted too much. No scratch that. Why are the tomatoes salty? Why put salt at all?

Seriously, I never liked their food when I first tried it 14 years ago and I still don't like it now. It boggles my mind how they have been in the business for 16 years with the food that they serve.
