It’s been 18 years and they are still around to provide us with much loved Italian dishes. Frankly I’ve learned a few Italian words as I grew up dining here. The menu titles are pure Italian and with a few translations here and there you pick it up quickly. As we dined with a pescatarian today, we mostly had Verdure (Vegetables).

We started off with Spinaci (Spinach) dip paired with well toasted crostinis. The serving size was quite generous and we weren’t shy double dipping for more of the savory vegetable. We had grilled Verdure salad and its sandwich counterpart as well. I love the fact that they tasted fresh and colorful.

The best dish we had was their Pescatora Spagtheinni (Seafood Spaghetti). The taste was wild in the sense that heightens all your senses. Never mind the lack of tomato sauce, its noodles were al dente and seafood had an overpowering flavor.

When dining here might as well have some of their fruit shakes as well. They popularized the grape shake but I skipped that today for a fresh pineapple. My friend had Banana.

I am happy that their anniversary promo has been extended until mid-September 2017. Decided to dine here one rainy afternoon with a friend. Located at Glorietta 3, Second Level, Cibo Glorietta is one of the first branches of this much loved Italian restaurant. I remember vividly back in 1997 when Cibo defied what is acceptable "Italian" back in the day and they wanted Filipinos to taste what true, authentic Italian pastas and other dishes should taste like. They truly stood the test of time. Their Spinach Zola is one of their best sellers and it shows from its wide cult following. I was saddened when their Alabang Town Center branch closed for a much needed renovation during the anniversary promo, so traversing the lengthy South Super Highway was in order to avail of their bestsellers.

I wanted to try out two orders of their best seller and two of the 20pesos deal. Good thing I restrained myself from going overboard because the serving of what we ordered was hefty big! Asked for one Seafood Pasta and one Spaghetti alla Margharita. For dessert, we had one Strawberry Panna Cotta. The tomato with fresh basil pasta was such a delight, i never even noticed that my plate did not have meat in it. My friend though wished that the Seafood Pasta has more seafood in it rather than unrecognizable pieces of mystery seafood. The dessert was soft and the light strawberry glaze and fruit was refreshing. I am happy that the Panna Cotta was also on a price slash - from it regular 295pesos down to 99pesos! Now that is a savings of more that 60% off. Service was friendly and hands on, asked us how our experience was at the end of our meal, such a nice gesture. Kudos to our server, Glenn! He was all smiles together with the rest of Cibo Glorietta. Will visit again soon with family.

One of my favorite starters in Cibo is the Spinaci Zola. The melted gorgonzola blended with spinach was really good as a dip. Addicting sa sarap! It's served with crostini, a toasted round bread.

Cibo has been always our comfort food. Always lives up to our expectation and has been consistent even if I visit other branches . Pasta is al dente. Pizza is ok. I was expecting it to be salty and that the arugula to be bitter, good thing it was not like that. A bit bland but I just added chili pepper flakes. Always a good choice when we can't decide where to eat.

I have only been to Cibo once and I remember not fully enjoying it. It was good but not oh so good I need to go back ASAP kind. But due to the number of good reviews about their Spinach dip and after trying Bistro Ravioli's spinach dip, I felt like I needed to eat here again.

Asked my family if we can have dinner here one Sunday night and was happy that they all agreed!! Yayy!!! 128588🏼128588🏼

I cannot remember the names of our orders anymore but we got one salad, pasta, pizza and of course, the spinach dip.

The salad was sad. For the price, it was not worth it. Plus serving size was too small. 128530 The pizza was just okay. It was good but nothing extra ordinary. Best enjoyed while still hot.

But the pasta and spinach dip were both good! We all liked and enjoyed them. The spinach dip was so yummy and addicting. The pasta was equally good, as well. Al dente pasta and oh so tasty creamy cheesy sauce. Simple and not too complicated, not added with too much ingredients, but still packed with so much awesomeness! We all loved it!! 128076🏼

Service was excellent. It was late and they were about to close already but there was never a moment that we felt like nagmamadali sila and that they want us to leave na. Overall, we had a yummy dinner and we'll definitely be back for more spinach dip and pasta!! 128513128077🏼

Went here as suggested by my brother, claiming they have good pasta. We ordered one appetizer (the one with baguette and spinach dip), one pasta (the ribbon pasta in creamy sauce with mushroom - vegetarian) and one oval pizza (their hit flavor)..

Well, i loved it all especially the pizza. As a pizza lover, i tend to critic their pizza more than their pasta (which was actually sooo goood!).. Their pizza used good red sauce, somehow homemade tomato pizza sauce with thin sliced cheese (salty flavor) on top that compliments the sourness of the tomato. BUT, they serve good pizza because they have soft crusts!! Thick but soft which makes pizzas stand out :)

Okay, that's it haha. I'd love to come back but maybe to other branches since this branch is TOO SMALL.

Authentic Italian offering is what you can find yourself having at Cibo. Their Panini Maiale Arosto is really flavorful with tenderloin roast pork, and tuna mayonaise in a crispy, grilled ciabatta bread served with some potato chips. This is my favorite thing about Cibo. A heavenly panini for me! 10084️ The dip al forno crostini are rounded toasted breads perfect for a great dip like funghi praga which is mushroom and smoked ham. I cannot explain how it made such a great team but the texture of the dip is perfect for the toasted breads. Their pasta are all good too. Their Rigatoni All Alfonso has that sour tomato sauce that I usually crave with shrimps with chives and chili peppers to give you that extra spice. Cibo can be packed on evenings as people unwind with a glass of wine and quality meal. If you have a little money to splurge and craving for something really Italian, I am recommending this. Otherwise, wait for their anniversary promo to give this a try.

It was Lou R's post-birthday celebration and he wanted to eat cibo. If it was my birthday, i would definitely choose this place too. Love their food!

We ordered our usual pesto pasta and the porkchop in mango sauce. Paired with iced tea and grape shake for lou!:)

The pesto pasta arrived first and it was the usual creamy taste, which we loved. Ribbon pasta was al dente and the amount of sauce is just enough for the amount of pasta. I also loved that the mushrooms today are not sliced too small so I can enjoy bigger parts of mushroom together with my pasta. Gives the spoonful a little bang with that mushroomy taste.

The porkchop arrived and I was really enjoying the meal until I had to cut the meat closer to the bone and it was really hard to cut, then I later saw that it was still pinkish. i asked the waiter if this is really suppose to be like this and he had to bring my plate back to the bar and asked about it. He came back with my same plate and said it's their standard time of cooking but if I prefer it to be cooked more, then they'd be happy to do it. I said that since she mentioned that this is their standard time for cooking and it came out like this, then I guess it's okay for me to eat it. But honestly, I left that part untouched. I ate the rest of the porkchop closer to the outer side where the meat was fully cooked. Then came the second bone, the whole strip beside the bone is really pink. I didn't want to complain the second time so I just let it pass. Besides, my rice is just enough for the cooked parts of the meat. 128522

Upon paying the bill, I again called the waiter's attention just to let him pass it on to their cook that the meal served to me was really not cooked all the way. I showed him the pink side of my meat and how it's so hard to slice and it should be kinda white if it's cooked through. He was kinda speechless but I told him that it was okay. I enjoyed the meal but next time I hope I get to eat the whole meat 128522

Sorry about the photo but here's the i think uncooked meat. Any chefs around here that can enlighten me? Is this really okay to eat?

Cibo's #18pairsfor18years ENDS TODAY! So If you're a Cibo fan or just a lover of Italian food, you better go to Cibo now! Order one of their featured dishes and you'll get it's pair dish for only 18Php! Great deal, right?!?

I got the Spaghettini Al Tris Formaggio paired with Bruschetta, Prosciutto Di Parma. Great pairing! The pasta was so good! It was rich and creamy. You can definitely taste the butter, the cheese and the truffle. Add in some mushroom paste and parmesan shavings - ah it was perfect! It had the right truffle kick that I wanted!

The Bruschetta was AH-MA-ZING! Imagine a rustic, crusty, grilled slice of bread topped with stewed tomatoes sweet notes, lots of mozzarella, lots of Parma Ham and Prosciutto. Drizzle generously with some garlic olive oil and enjoy! I can have this everyday!

Husband went for the Tagliata De Manzo, Funghi Trifolati, Rucola (gracious!) paired with Linguine Del Marinaio. This really is the best pair of them all! Good for 2 people already - a rice meal + pasta! Didn't bother trying the beef dish but got my hand on the pasta which was another great dish. Oil based with stewed tomatoes, tuna, olives and capers. It was simple but delicious!

The truffle pasta lacked salt unlike the last time I was here when it was perfect. If they stay consistent then they truly could be one of Manila's best restaurants in terms of comfort food.

Another one of our old haunts, comfort food. This is my husband's ultimate favorite merienda place. I haven't had any unpleasant experience with Cibo. Food is always served fresh. Fruitshakes made to perfection.

What we had: Spaghettini Alfonso, Pollo tramezzini and Red grape shake. The best!

If I had a kitchen at the mall, Cibo would be it. There's nothing in their menu that I don't like and would say no to. I can't even write what I had here or what I would recommend as there's just too many, call it exaggerated but I love all their dishes. Thank God for blessing Margarita with her talents as the culinary world would be so lonely without Cibo and her other establishments. Lol

Lunch out again with ze boss a couple of weeks ago. 9786

For starters, we shared an order of Baked Spinach Dip served with crostini. This creamy, cheesy dip was delicious!!! You wouldn't even notice you're eating veggies. 128514 I would've preferred some toasted ciabatta to go with it though instead of crostini.

I also ordered Spaghettini alla Romana, one of my favorites here. Al dente noodles served with sardines, chili peppers and red pesto. One tasty dish! I never liked sardines except if it's mixed with pasta. Chili peppers add a lil kick but I barely tasted the red pesto. I liked that it didn't have that "malansa" taste.128076🏼

I came here for the spinach dip and pumpkin soup! 128522 but today, both of them weren't that good. The pumpkin soup was a bit watery and the spinach dip was just so-so 128563
