460pesos for the round chocolate cake. Our go to cake shop here in BF Homes, prices are just right and has that home bakery feel vibe to their store. Moist chocolate goodness, not too sweet. Recommended buy would be their Carrot Cake which was sold out yesterday.

Your typical neighborhood bakeshop. Saw them ranked as one of Manila's Best Chocolate Cakes back in the late 2000's in Dessert Comes First website. Nothing fancy just home baked goodness. They have a variety of cakes to offer but since i was on budget, i opted to buy their cupcakes (red velvet, banana and carrot variants).
Very affordable, price ranges from 18pesos to 35pesos. Size is not as big as those of Vanilla Cupcake or Sonja's. It is not as refined, but it still satisfies. Our dinner guests were pleasantly surprised on the price and taste of the cupcakes. Would recommend for office potlucks or simple family gatherings. Comes packaged in a dark green box with a nice paper string.

Their chocolate cake is divine! Very moist and very chocolatey ️ And for less than 500 for a whole cake? It's a steal!
I also got to try their cheese tart and walnut tart. I loved the cheese tart and thought the walnut tart was ok. The walnut tart did have a lot of walnuts but the tart shell was the part that i kind of disliked. As for the cheese tart, the whole thing was gooood. I wanted to go back and get more when i finished it but i remembered that we had cake and that I was trying to cut back on sweets (emphasis on TRYING ).
On our next visit, we are definitely going to get more cheese tarts! They have cupcakes that looked good and cookies too. We're definitely going to get some of those too

Sweets at an affordable price! This place in the inskirts of BF Homes and near my fave salon for cheap mani-pedi A Cut Above is my new discovery (kind of!)
I got hungry while waiting for my mom to finish, I decided to roam around the area. Curious as to why my blockmate recommended this, I went inside to find cheap good stuff.
From cupcakes, cakes and other pastries, this place is indeed not overpriced unlike the fancy pastel-colored walls of other cupcake places.
To try it out, I bought a box of 6 cupcakes ranging from P18-25 per piece (if I remember correctly).
Red Velvet, Chocolate, Toffee Nut, Mocha, Banana Carrot and Cookies & Cream were the flavors I got. The cupcakes were not that moist in the inside but can surely fill your hungry tummy. The best was the Banana Carrot for my mom - indeed a combination of the two and the Toffee Nut. Red Velvet was just so-so for me. And the rest, average for the cost.
For me, this is an OK place to get some homemade sweets for cheap prices. But for quality and taste, average rating.

I give Cielin's cake house a five because whenever I wanted good and moist chocolate cake or its cupcake version, I always go here without a doubt! It's so cheap and so good for many years now!

Where else can you get cupcakes for PhP 20-35??
It must be said that these aren't as dense as Larcy's, but I love that about these cupcakes. They're so light and hindi nakakaumay.
Must try:
Mocha
Toffee Nut
Cookies & Cream
Chocolate
Red Velvet (Despite the minimal cream cheese frosting. At least it still tastes like cream cheese with powdered sugar and not just powdered sugar with a bit of cream cheese. *ehem*Sonja's*ehem*)
I heard the Strawberry Cupcake is good as well. They also bake cakes, cookies, food for the gods, cinnamon rolls.
If you're traveling from the North, I suggest you pass by and taste these cupcakes. Can you imagine paying PhP 130 for half a dozen cupcakes?? Amazing.
How will you find it? Turn at the street right before entering the Aguirre BF Gate, go straight til you reach the intersection and turn right. It's right beside the church. It's hard to spot so be alert. I've lived in the south since forever and even I had a hard time looking for it.

Cupcakes, anyone?
Cielin's is a cupcake heaven! They offer the most bang for your buck cuppies in town! Not that they make gourmet ones but, as simple as the cupcakes were, they won't disappoint. Mostly leaning towards the chiffon type, they range from 15 to 30php! What I love the most were the chocolate cupcakes - moist and generously topped with thick chocolate ganache. For about 20php, totally sulit!
They also sell tarts, cakes, cookies and some savory pies.
Always worth the trip to BF! Yay!

aha! so they have a branch in the south?? i used to stop over Shell Magallanes for these cupcakes!
this is the reason why i'm not wow-ed by Slice's choco yema cupcake. i think they taste pretty much the same! just minus the yema, but it doesn't matter 'cause these are still equally good- chocolatey and soft.
and did i mention CHEAP? heck yea! just around Php20 a piece... so it won't hurt your pockets at all should you decide to share some with your family or friends!
try it. it's really worth it and delicious!
(check the photos posted by others, mine's mehh)

Sa dinamiraming cupcakeries na sumusulpot na parang kabute, masasabi kong masuwerte ako at malapit ako sa cielin's. This cupcake haven has made me forget all other cupcakes near and far (except those of our family friend's - hannah tapan). Moist and faily sweet. Their cheese tarts are of perfect quality too! Not to forget their food for the gods. Actually, hindi ako fan ng food for the gods. But when i tried it, inagawan ko na ng pagkain ang anak ko. Hahaha! With its price, perfect talaga! Kaching kaching kaching!
A choc cupcake costs 18pesos only. What else can you ask for?!
Here's wishing it to have a nice place for just hanging around...yun lang ang kulang sa kanya.
