If I could give a zero, I would. The treatment of one of your staff members, Lin/lyn Salazar to us last October 31 was downright despicable. This happened in CityBuffet Robinson's Galleria at dinner time.

Last October 31, 2016, we decided to celebrate two birthdays in your restaurant since it's near the hotel (Holiday Inn) we were staying in. We were a group of nine looking for a good resto to have dinner in. It had been a very good day and we wanted something fulfilling so we opted for a buffet and your resto was the nearest. We also saw that you had a promo for birthday celebrants so we went ahead to inquire from the hostess.

As we approached your hostess (Lyn) there was no welcoming greeting or smile. We asked questions regarding the menu and she only gave us single word answers. She was borderline rude but since we were in a celebratory mood and in high spirits, we let it go.

We then inquired what was needed to be able to avail of the birthday promo ( 3 paying adults and proof of birthdate /ID). Since there were 9 of us, and my brother (His birthday is October 30)had his driver's licence he can avail the promo. Unfortunately, the baby of our family( she is 6 and Oct. 31 is her birthday) did not have a hard copy of her ID. What we had then is a soft copy of her birth certificate. We asked if that would be ok and Lyn's answer is a simple "Hindi pwede". We asked if there is something she can do(maybe talk to her manager if it's okay) , her answer is "wala". And so we asked to speak to the manager, her only answer is "Wala siya". She was downright dismissive and cold. In a span of a few minutes, she ruined our happy mood.

Correct me if I am wrong , but since she is the hostess for a hospitality business she should at least have a bit of warmth and welcoming attitude. She should at least offer another option or at least be apologetic that the baby's soft copy of her birth certificate can't be accommodated ( we later learned that it is acceptable). She could have at least called her manager or supervisor to ask what can be done. She was lazy and rude. She did nothing to show that were welcome.

To be honest, it's not about the promo anymore. That woman dampened the celebratory mood of our family with her sour and dismissive attitude. She rejected us even before we showed interest in dining in your restaurant and of availing the promo. We understand that rules are rules and if soft copies are not allowed, we are okay with it but she should at least have told us in a nice manner. A show of helpfulness and niceness would have been acceptable too.

Truthfully, We don't understand where her attitude is coming from. We were polite but not boisterous. There were only a few people (It was a Monday night and your air conditioning is not working ). She was not attending to anyone else. She was just unapologetic, unaccommodating and not the least bit helpful.

We left your resto, pissed-off and highly annoyed. A complete turnabout from our initially good mood all thanks from your moody staff member. If that is how your hostess greets all the interested diners, then you might be losing more potential costumers.

Thanks to her, our baby girl's birthday was tainted with her bad attitude.

I don't see why others should visit City Buffet yet there are a lot of competitors around the corner. Unless you're looking for affordable buffet, you can try this one.

Tried eating here twice. I kept coming back not for the food but for the price. Yes, totally cheap compared to other buffet restaurants out there. Usually crowded so better have your seats reserved prior to your visit. Meals were okay. I like their desserts and ice creams more than the meals served. Cheap version of YakiMix.

Well, you get what you pay for sums up this buffet lunch we just had .
I wanted a cheap buffet and thats what we got .
First the good (konti lang kasi :-(. )
The fat beef caldereta was ok +++
The roast chicken was good , juicy ++++
The ice cream was cold , so were the drinks . Potato chips were crunchy so was the kropeck +++++ , that in fairness was really good. Best dish in the buffet was kropeck ... Sad but true .

Now for the not so good .
Aircon was out so electric fan lang mga parekoy .?
Tempura - the basket just had tempura crabsticks which we all know is not actually crab but crab flavored surimi (starch). Had to ask wheres the ebi tempura , waiter dug down deep in the basket and found 1 , it was a poor suahe shrimp sliced lengthwise in half covered by thick batter ... Ugh never mind , one is enough .
All the sushi was not tuna!! , it was sliced raw processed pork either spam or more like raw maling pretending to be tuna .... No fish here .

The rest were different chinese dishes. MSG laden. I tried the sweet sour pork and spicy pork . I piece each . SSP was mostly 5spice and sugar plus msg
Spicy pork a tad better .
Dessert options a pale leche flan - bland said daughter . Pass
Some strawberry mousse and a choco somthing in a shot glass. Too sweet .
So there went our P439 ea . I should've brought the fam to eat at Kenny Roasters a floor down instead .
Lesson learned, this cheap buffet is just that, ... Cheap.

Buffet was pretty okay for the price. Not a lot of meats and vegetables to choose from; selections were mostly carbs. Plenty of maki and desserts. Everything tasted so-so. Some tasted good, others tasted odd. Servers were helpful and nice. You get what you pay for.

Food was so-so 128584
Ung mabusog ka lang. The price is okay.
Their sushi rolls tastes the same 128532
Also their desserts 128532

Btw when we came here someone celebrated their birthday and i saw the tiniest cake ever given to a customer 128557
As in kasing laki lang ata ng thumb ko 128532
Ang sad lang kasi nasa plate pa na may happy birthday and candle tapos ganon lang kaliit ung cake mas maliit pa sa bite size 128532
If i were the birthday celebrant i'll be disappointed.

The very first reason why I recommend this is because it's affordable. The food may be "just fine", but it's the price that is great here.

Cheap eat-all-you can buffet located at robinson. Enjoy eat-all-you and drink-all-you can for only php439.oo during weekends. They have sushi bar, salad bar, dessert bar, ice cream bar(big scoop). My favorite part of their buffet is the dumplings and dessert! (You must try the cream pudding) yuuum. The place looks luxurious (looks like yakimix except for the smokeless grill) its a burp-a-licious experience. Awesome

Went here last Sunday with my college mates, a spur of the moment decision as we are looking for a place to eat where we can eat and chat for a long time. I was impressed that though that the spread is not that plenty compared with vikings, we enjoyed the taste, it has more quality and the experience was great. One thing I just did not understand is that they have only one (i repeat, one) chair booster for kids!
