City Cakes is a very small restaurant / bakery store in Caloocan. I rarely go this North in the Metro but my northern friends are always showing me around to their favorite spots, including this one.
So we got some refreshing chocolate and vanilla shakes, both of which are delicious and oh so thick! We weren't in the mood for any more sweets so we got some clubhouse sandwiches since its merienda time anyway. We got the sandwiches after 10 minutes and warm. I liked it! I has that homemade vibe and the price isn't bad either. Go try this place out if you are in Caloocan and want some chill ambience and good friendly food.

I have been a Carrot cake addict eversince... And when this cozy,homey feel pastry cum coffee shop opened very near our place, can't help but smile a lot! This is my all-time favorite in their cake menu. With crushed pineapples, walnuts and cheese frosting.. Oh la la that's heavenly taste!128077128512128523127874

I am often too adventurous, especiallybwhen it comes to eating at hole-in-the-wall places like this, and I must say, i was not disappointed. Their desserts are at par with those being served at the big restos. Their cheesecakes and black forest are must tries.

Tip: seating is very limited due to the space. Be sure to arrive before the students do.

Very out-of-place, City Cakes is possibly the only cafe in Monumento area (I'm 99.78862% sure on this one). To my delightful surprise, their coffee is actually pretty decent. :)

We got their large iced cafe latte (grande in Starbucks sizes) for just Php 95. It came with a syrup container, so you have control over exactly how sweet you want your drink to be. They could've 'presented' the syrup better, though; they served it in literal pancake maple-syrup containers (think: McDonald's).

The place's ambiance is great, and they have nice couches! Perfect for lazy afternoons.

-1 star because the a/c wasn't quite enough for the current temperature, and another -1 because they had no electrical sockets available.

At the moment we don't feel like eating, but I'll try their cakes (it's called City Cakes, after all) the next time I find myself here.

PS: Pictured is the boyfriend who is very engrossed in his John Carter books. Haha

Neither disliked or loved;
The place was okay. Accessible. My sisters and I went to City Cakes on a weekday so the place was not packed.
We ordered their blueberry cheesecake, black forest torte and BLT sandwiches. -- It was okay. I was not thrilled at all. Probably because i tasted better.
Their staff is very attentive, and seems very eager to sell their products. We didn't tried any of their signatures drinks though.
How much? Cheesecake and BLT costs php80 per slice while the blackforest torte costs php95.
