Watched a movie and went here for a quick meal because we have another movie to watch in 40 minutes 128517

I really love their affordable E-meals here!! It is super sulit talaga 128150 Just for P128, you get to have a quarter savory chicken, rice, 16 oz beverage and another viand of your choice. You can choose between shanghai rolls (4 pieces), pancit canton, creamy fish fillet, salt and pepper squid, chopsuey, and chinese pork steak.

Savory's really known for their famous fried chicken. No doubt because it is really tender, juicy and tasty! I was able to try the shanghai rolls and creamy fish fillet and both were good, also.

You may add 20 pesos to upgrade to sabory fried rice. If you want soup, they also offer it for just 35 pesos. They have lomi soup and corn soup. 128522

We made it just in time for our movie because they served our orders on time and when they gave me a wrong order, they immediately changed it and served the right order to me. So I did not have to worry about being late on our movie schedule.

Everytime I need to have a quick meal and can't decide where to eat, I always go here because I get satisfied and they offer affordable meals.

We ordered the of corn and crab soup (Php195.00). We were told that the soup was only good for 3-4 people. We ordered 3 of this since there was 14 of us. We over ordered. This soup's serving is good for 5-6 persons. In any case, the soup was the usual Chinese egg based soup and we liked it.

We then had the Yang Chow Fried Rice (Php175.00). It can use more flavor but it's okay. The serving size is quite small. The rice is good for 3 persons.

We also ordered the Long Life Pancit Canton (Php195.00). They don't have the Birthday Noodles in this branch but the Long Life Pancit Canton is its equivalent. It's good but as with the rice, the serving is really small. This is only good for 2-3 persons.

The Beef Stir Fry with Broccoli (Php225.00) tasted okay but again the serving portion was small! I wouldn't recommend ordering this because it is too expensive for its serving size and the taste is just okay, nothing great.

The Lechon Macau (Php265.00) is just a small serving of lechon kawali. It's not bad but it's not great and it is definitely not lechon macau. For it's price, it's not worth it.

Like other items in the menu, the Salt and Pepper spareribs (Php195.00) had really small servings. It was mostly fat/bones. There wasn't enough meat to it. It tastes okay but you will not get the value for your money.

The savory classic chicken, which is supposed to be their specialty is just okay. Some parts of the chicken are dry. If not for the gravy, there would hardly be enough taste in it.

We did like the crispy shrimp puffs, the crispy pata tim and the garlic steamed fish fillet. The crispy shrimp puffs are shrimps in batter. They taste so good even without the sauce! We could not get enough of this and we had 4 orders of this!
What makes the fish good is that it is served on top of this sotanghon like noodles. The noodles are so tasty and they complement the garlic fish. We love the crispy pata and to be fair, this one had a generous serving. It's delicious even without the sauce.

Overall we like Savory for a convenient place to go to for Chinese food as it is located in the mall near my house. However, it's taste is just average, there is nothing special about this place except maybe the shrimp puffs. As to the rest of the items, they can easily be substituted by food of other Chinese restaurants. The servings are also too small for its price. While I appreciate that they sanitize the utensils by placing it in boiling water, I don't like the fact that the utensils in a glass of hot water are all on the table. It gives a carenderia feel and for a carenderia type restaurant, this is too expensive!

In any case, if I meed a quick Chinese food fix and I don't have enough time to go elsewhere or I am too lazy to drive or whatever, I'd probably still go back here.

Aboy's Hot Pot Salad was definitely one of their best appetizers! 128077

We frequent this place during Sunday lunch dates because it's one of the few homey places where our family can get to eat comfort, typical weekend dishes.

This is my first time to try their battered chicken and I didn't liked it, medyo matigas ang coating and makunat-kunat ang chicken, I still prefer their original fried chicken. The corn soup, chopsuey and coffee jelly were great!

I'm going to talk about my favorite dish here, which is the Glazed Crispy Chicken. It is fried chicken pieces dipped in caramel. The coating is quite thick and it sure is crispy. I think of and taste Turon whenever I eat this. The Glazed Crispy Chicken will be a big hit with the kids but not so much with the adults unless they are like me, who likes anything sweet. 127853127852128157

I had a bad experience with the Robinson's Metro East branch. Our meals took a long time! It seemed that the food coming out of the kitchen were served to guests I didn't notice were there before we came in. I'm not sure if I was beyond starving and delirious that time or if the food we ordered were prepared from scratch. Like they needed to dig out the crops and kill the animals. Ugh, that killing thing is an appetite killer.
