Coast Call Kitchen & Bar is the in-house restaurant of San Juan Surf Resort where we stayed during our trip to La Union. Though it's one of the more "high-end" restos among the slew of food spots in San Juan, you'd be surprised to find the prices of the food quite affordable.

Our room in San Juan Surf Resort came with free breafast in Coast Call, and honestly, the food wasn't too bad for a complimentary breakfast. I had a toast with butter & jam plus orange juice. While the boyfie had tocino with rice plus instant coffee.

I was craving for dessert after breakfast that we ordered their S'mores Pancakes. My gosh it was so sinful! The pancakes were cooked just right and the chocolate was not too sweet which is nice. The only downside were the melted marshmallows, it's kinda hard to chew them and it sticks to the roof of your mouth. Lol! Well, I ordered for S'mores didn't I?! 128514

During the latter part of the afternoon, we ordered smoothies and just stayed here waiting for the sunset. They have amazing service and really good ambiance. Bonus is the perfect view of the ocean while enjoying our drink! Though they get a little busy during the evening, it's still a nice spot to just hangout. Make sure to drop by Coast Call on your next LU trip! 10084

This is my favorite amongst the slew of restaurants we tried in San Juan, La Union. They had excellent food, service, and the best ambience. It's not pretentious and overly decorated as the others. We had breakfast and lunch here and both times we were extremely satisfied. We ordered the seafood set and it comes with a pitcher of iced tea. It was really good and reasonably priced. For dessert, we tried Choco Crumble and it was sooo good and definitely instagramable. Their Ripe Mango Shake is the bomb and really a must-try. You can't go wrong here. Visit this place in your next surfing trip to La Union.

Coast Call Kitchen & Bar is the only resto in our hotel. We're too lazy to look for other resto so we just stayed here.

We had breakfast and lunch here. I have tried their Beef Tapa (P185) which is good and comes with choice of drinks. I liked the taste of tapa! 128525

Since I am still full by lunch, i just ordered their Loaded Nachos (P260) ~ crispy nacho chips topped with ground beef, tomato salsa, nacho cheese, red beans and jalapeño peppers! Soooooo good! Nabitin ako! 128514

What I love the most is their interior. They have wooden walls with portraits. The have overlooking beach outdoor seats which is also a good spot. The staff are very friendly and of course I get to see Luke here! 128514128525

Coast Call is where we had the complimentary breakfast for our stay in San Juan Surf. They had an option of either continental or Filipino breakfast. I chose the Vigan Loganissa cause it's a native dish. The Vigan Loganissa is definitely a must and it's very garlicy. The service is pretty slow. And I am disappointed that their coffee is just instant nescafe and not even brewed. Even their orange juice is powdered. The pancakes are good. Fluffy and big with butter and maple syrup. The pancake with blueberry taste like the Blueberry More of J.Co plus the almond nuts on it. The prices of their meals is at Php 150 minimum. It was a decent breakfast considering it's complimented with your accommodation. Will probably try their other offerings but La Union has a lot of food places so yeah, just take your pic.

I love their tuna salad! Not just bits of canned tuna flakes tossed with veggies.... Its generous portions of grilled tuna on top of yummy veggies and dressing... And a beautiful poached egg on top... Try it!

You have to try their daing na bangus. I had it for my first meal (lunch) when we got in the resort and for breakfast the next day. It's served with nicely sinangag rice and well seasoned egg. I had the basic sunny side up, but i tried my friend's scrambled egg and kind of wanted to trade my egg for hers. (No photo sorry i ate it all up!)

Price wise - very affordable and gives you meals/beverages that live up to the quality you are looking for. Kind of pampers you too much that you might not want to leave the premises, BUT YOU SHOULD. 128521

And you'll definitely love the setup of this resto bec the interior is so modernly designed with enough lights and few photos of the beach, match it up with greatly picked sounds to put you in that surfer-beach kind of mood (this resto is part of San Juan Surf Resort).
