You have to be really bent on eating here...parking and a table are challenges you will have to contend with, but patience is well rewarded.

We had sweet and sour soup, tempura, spring rolls, crispy pata, humba, sweet and sour fish, pancit canton and chopsuey...all good. But for me, the "star" was the pineapple fried rice, different and good!

When dining with a big group, it is always challenging to snag a table. The nearest parking entrance was closed due to full parking as well as that of Harbor Point Mall. One of our companions went down while we looked for a parking space.

Initially, we were #8 on the waiting list. By the time we reached the restaurant, we were 3rd on the list. The guy manning the list was very pleasant and charming. It only took a few more minutes before we were seated.

The menu had several pages and we had a hard time deciding. Good thing they had set menus for big groups. We ordered Set Menu A which was P2,800 for 10 pax. All dishes were 2 servings each except for the rice which was 10 cups. Since we were a group of 14, we added an extra order of Pochero Beef Soup, Crispy Binagoongan, Seafood Pancit Canton and 4 cups of rice.

On the table
čö╣Pochero Beef Soup - we were expecting a tomato based viand. This was more of a heaping bowl of Nilaga or Bulalo. We needed a knife to cut the meat from the bone. The vegetables were crisp. The soup was tasty and soothing.
čö╣Sizzling Pork Sisig - my fave from the night. Very crispy and flavorful.
čö╣Pinakbet - seasoned well, veggies cooked just right and ampalaya wasn't bitter.
čö╣Grilled Squid - it was ok. Wish they provided a knife when they served this since it was hard to cut with just the fork.
čö╣Crispy Binagoongan - this was so delicious. I kept pouring sone sauce on my rice. The pork pieces were crispy.
čö╣Seafood Pancit Canton - flavors were spot on but some noodles were still hard and undercooked

We didn't expect the generous portions thus we had a lot of take home. Some of which we even had for breakfast the following day.

I believe that a restaurant with a line during peak hours is a clear indication that food is worth the wait as in the case of Cocolime. This was the best meal I had on this trip and I will definitely come back whenever I'm in Subic.

Super love the bagoong rice, kare kare and pork binagoongan. Try the lechon kawali, chicken barbeque and mixed veggies as well. Operating hours: 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 10pm
