CocoHut has always been my favorite all-day breakfast place, and the perfect choice for my late lunch!

I usually get the chicken adobo flakes but this time, I tried the longganisa. Of the regional longganisa variants, Cocohut's longganisa would be more like the Vigan longganisa. They call this derecado (or filled with garlic), unlike other longganisa variants that are hamonado (or sweet). This longganisa was generously filled with bits of garlic! Don't forget to put vinegar as CocoHut's house vinegar matches the longganisa perfectly!!!

I would suggest that CocoHut use standard plates instead of the plastic containers with wax paper. The wax paper sometimes gets mixed with the food as it gets wet over time. This would also give more value to the food.

CocoHut's longganisa with fried egg, garlic rice and a dash of atsara is one of CocoHut's all-day breakfast meals and is priced P165. I usually pair my meal with coffee but opted for Coke (in can, at P50) for a change.

The Lechon Kawali Kare Kare Pasta is the bomb!!! Who knew you could use Kare-Kare sauce as a pasta sauce? The result was this nutty and creamy flavorful pasta, that is so addicting. They said it's good for two, but I beg to disagree, because you'd just want to keep this dish all to yourself. The bagoong they use is also very tasty. Instead of cheese for pasta, why not bagoong next time? ;)

The Coco Squash is also good, I would prefer a less mushy version, but the taste is there.

My boyfriend ordered the 2-piece spicy chicken and a macaroni salad. The chicken also had good flavor, but not all parts of the chicken were seasoned. Also, do not get their macaroni salad. The dressing was too thin and it lacked acidity. :( Also, I expected a lot from their Teamarind, but the tamarind flavor was too diluted.

Currently dreaming of that pasta. I'm also interested in trying out their other creative pastas, the Creamy Binagoongan and Carbonara Longganisa sounds good!

CocoHut reminded me of Army Navy and as it turns out they are sister companies. My first time here and I wasn't sure what to order. The cashier wasn't helpful and could smile more. According to her, their best sellers were Crispy Fish Fillet and Fried Chicken. I didn't feel like having dory nor Fried Chicken so I went for the next best thing - Lechon Kawali.

You can never go wrong with crispy pork. It was flavorful as is but I kept on dipping it in the soy vinegar sauce. I also tried the meat with their spicy vinegar which was at the condiments area. Not a fan of lechon liver sauce, theirs was sweet. I loved the crispy garlic bits that were on top of the pork.

There was just a hint of sourness in the Tamarind Iced Tea. It wasn't that sweet either. Aircon was cool and eventually it became chilly after I downed my large drink.

The staff who were on break were seated to one side near the entrance and they had food from other establishments so I guess if you are a customer, you could do the same as well.

Based on my lechon kawali lunch, I would love to try the other dishes but I will bring more people with me as some orders are good for 2-3 people.

Home is where the heart is...127968

It's cool to have lunch under the island sun127774 Went to Makati last Sunday to visit mom in the office then before I go home we had lunch at Cocohut in Glorietta 2.

This is my second time to eat at Cocohut, first was at UP Technohub. I ordered again my favorite palabok for 100 pesos then mom had Laing and rice for same price also. Very affordable. Fast service too. They are not only serving fish and chicken but also other Filipino dishes 128077127860
